Thanks for getting back to me, sad sad news, my thoughts go out to you all. The hospitality in Breda, the team at Golden glory, were all fanastic. If anyone has the opportunity, I'd highly recommend you make the trip Love and respect Dave
Hey how you doing? thanks getting touch, it was a great laugh going swimming, both me & saiema had a great day, loved it! Thanks to you all for making my trip an excellent one! I'm looking forward to coming over again, best regards Dave
Hello Dave, Great video with the legend. You are definitely lucky to have met him. I wish I had the chance to as well. Mr. Dekkers is now resting peacefully I am sure. Thanks for sharing.
Hi there, thank you so much for posting this video. Ramon is truely a living Muay Thai Legend. I love watch him fights back in the day. He is one mean dude. Thank you
Dude, I must say as a fellow Nak Muay I enjoyed watching you train - only one small comment - please keep your hands up!! Dekkers you are still the man!!
Hi dave, yeah still training mate. not competing anymore, had last fight last year, getting on now!! i've changed job which is taking up a lot of time, still got club going, got some good fighters coming through Away to try my hand at triathlon aswell so plenty on the go!!! last time i spoke to joe tierney (wee while ago now!) he said you were doing really well. glad to hear it mate, you deserve it. All the best to you and yours, stu
great video dave, u've still got it! you might not remember me, we fought for kickjutsu title years ago. must have been great to train with such a legend, hope you are well. stu from dundee
Great video, thanks for sharing. Really good power and speed in ur punches. love the short hooks with good power and the nice whip into them. Every time i train and hit pads, still always learning. Cheers
@cowonabun thank you for the kind comment, but I'm not in the same league as those legends, but they certainly inspired me to push as hard as I can, Ramon is a great guy and my training at Golden Glory was excellent.
this was fantastic to watch!! really inspires me to not half ass when i train. solid technique, i'd hate to be on the wrong end of one of those left hooks. VERY fast and accurate hooks. Thanks for uploading this.
Good evening, Mr. Breed I am interested in kick boxing, I'd like to begin this year in november. Your impact is amazingly powerful. How long did it take to reach this form? Continued success in your career. Best regards, Fabian
the power from the left hook comes from the left foot. You pivot on the floor with it as your whole body spins on it as an axis. Right foot can be barely brushing the floor in a circular motion, or just on mid air, it doesn't matter.
hay just asking did the session with raymond cost or was it out of love because i would love to train with him please give me details im from new zealand and i love muay thai
Hey Buster! how are you my friend! hope your really well!! Good while ago now this video eh how time flyes by, do hope life's treating you well & your happy, healthy & safe🙏
@@DavidBreed Mate, I'm healthy(-ish) minus all my injuries through the years but not so debilitated that I can't train through the pain. I stumbled upon your channel after playing around with some of Dekker's combos. How's life on your end?
I would really like to train there too for 3-4 weeks to sharpen up my slopy technique. How could we organise a trip to train in golden glory holland? where do we contact them? Is there an official website?
Ooo wat mooi zeg en Dave Breed is een sterke gast heel netjes kan beter maar tog een enorme RESPECKT!!!!!!!! Ik wil bij Ramontje trenen hoe duur is dat per maand of per les weet iemand?
@weedcelso Hi we'd been sparring and doing give and take drills for about an hour and Ramon made me do a round of pads in between so rather than keep taking them off he'd make me hit the pads for a while them onto give and take drills - very tiring!!
Must have been an awesome experience bro ... I remember the first time Kru Mark Dellegrotte held pads for me I can only imagine what it was like having Dekker there great work btw
Chuwattana is an excellent gym to train at, the group of guys really push you hard, Ive been there many times over the years, and they always look after you, hope you have a great time there!
Hi, yeah of course, I think it would be better to use a hanging bag than a free standing one, you could even use progressive combinations to shadow box and warm up! Best of luck, Dave
me neither ! still an awesome machine and will i always look up to him, watched him on a sandy holts best ko video from years and years ago he fought 2 thais smashed them both to bits but the last bout had the most perfect left and right hook combo I have every seen! devastation!
i wrote here in 2010 (i think) and i was hoping to have a stage with him someday. this make me a little sad :( RIP ramon. great technique anyway, great training.
@yamasnik I trained there everyday, twice aday, so it varied really, on this day of filming we did about 1 hour of mixed padwork then I finished with some sparring with the other guys.
Hey man, you were looking good! What little mistakes were you making? Also, just from watching Dekkers and a lot of Thai guys, it seems like the best strikers are on the balls of the feet when they're throwing for power. They try to punch or kick through their opponent instead of just making contact, if that makes sense. Have you gotten any tips concerning striking for power that you'd like to share?
I don't want to get you wrong, I think it was just how you came across in your post, your right about people critisizing(not sure myself!), I know I'm dropping too much, I coach everyday usually about 8 private sessions aday, and I tend to miss out on someone coaching me, I don't want to miss out and want to keep on improving my own ability so I trained there twice aday every day for a week, its very intense but great fun I'm certain you'll have a great time, best wishes with your training
@gameboy010203 At the time when I went, I think the sessions were around 25euros, his private tuition is more expensive, you'd have to talk to Ramon to sort a price, I highly recommend you visit Golden Glory, the whole group were really welcoming, the training is excellent, hard work but also alot of fun, theres a great group of guys there, hotels locally though are quite expensive so speak to golden glory and see if they can recommend somewhere for you. Best regards Dave
Hi Stuart, I've just been informed a few minutes ago, terrrible news, I'm completely stunned, right now I don't how or what's happened but I'm trying to find out. My condolances go out to all his family, friends, training partners and all who he inspired. RIP Ramon
ramón dekkers holding pads for you... what an honor it must be
It was a honor for me when i was trained by him, One of the legends is training with an amateur as me.
No other way to put it
lol, Dave Breed is a world coach
Dekkers can make training in flip flops and a beer belly look cool RIP legend
Andy Roberts haha, lijkt net of ie net terug is van 3 weken Loret. R.i.p.
Training in flip flops is actually pretty convenient. I always train with my flip flops (put them off when I am on the pads and on the bag).
Thanks for getting back to me, sad sad news, my thoughts go out to you all.
The hospitality in Breda, the team at Golden glory, were all fanastic. If anyone has the opportunity, I'd highly recommend you make the trip
Love and respect
Dave
Dekkers✊ RIP LEGEND

why not go for free style pad work. pls advise thanks
Great video, thanks for sharing. Really good power and speed in ur punches. love the short hooks with good power and the nice whip into them. Every time i train and hit pads, still always learning. Cheers
Wow, Ramon, could not recognize this great man at first gland. He is still looking good and strong.
One question. Can i use these combinations on my punching bag iinstead of the pads? I don't have pads, just a bag and gloves.
@cowonabun thank you for the kind comment, but I'm not in the same league as those legends, but they certainly inspired me to push as hard as I can, Ramon is a great guy and my training at Golden Glory was excellent.

@weedcelso Hi we'd been sparring and doing give and take drills for about an hour and Ramon made me do a round of pads in between so rather than keep taking them off he'd make me hit the pads for a while them onto give and take drills - very tiring!!
@David Breed Looks like an amazing experience man. How much do you feel it helped improve your technique and overall game?

Ramon Dekkers Marvelous coach
@budderking Usually Dutch Thaiboxing emphasizes more Boxing punches than the Traditional Muay Thai.
@yamasnik I trained there everyday, twice aday, so it varied really, on this day of filming we did about 1 hour of mixed padwork then I finished with some sparring with the other guys.
