A remake of this movie would be even worse than this movie itself. Most remakes are worse than their predecessors. And when you remake a horrible movie, you make a horrible horrible movie.
@@c.james1 I disagree. The Thing (2011) is not a remake, it’s a prequel and it has a plot that is far less superior in terms of story. Dune, I haven’t watched yet but it isn’t a remake of a movie either, it’s an adaptation of a book and from what I’ve heard it isn’t good. If you ask me, I prefer the older stuff over the newer stuff. If they make good remakes then I may believe otherwise
The director purposefully used this kind of cgi because he wanted it to be a mixture of anime and live action. So the cartoonish CGI is what he was aiming for. If you remember the opening of the movie was showing Ultraviolet comic books. I thought the CGI was fine growing up didn't bother me. The dialogue of the movie did though lol.
They wanted to make it like a live action- comic book theme. That's why the CGI and film placing was strange. You could also factor in other things like a low budget for the film or something. Still this is one of my favorite movies. I know it's bad but it's one of those guilty pleasures you can't stop having. I've also read the novelization of this film which was really good. The unrated extended version of the movie also helps as well. Plus, who does not ❤️ Milla Jovovich!?
yes its suppose to be comic like but its not comic like. this type of quality is ok only for something as old as spawn. not something that came out anytime after 2000 is where people are like wtf. if this came out the same time as spawn people might be like wow
Actually, the director purposefully used this kind of cgi because he wanted it to be a mixture of anime and live action. So the cartoonish cgi is what he was aiming for.
The Matrix is older then this film by a few years but that film still looks amazing even the green screen cgi scenes are still amazing to watch, this shit looks like garbage and makes 2006 feel so old.
Hahaha. The CGI had me on the floor laughing. The helicopters are... well very fake. At times the front dash board of the motorcycle is a cartoon. The chase overall when we get an overhead view looks flat. The smooth skin filter is obvious. Then there’s that jump and landing at 2:48. >-🤣 that was too laughable.
Wow the effects are even worse than I remember. So many times the foreground seems out of sync with the background. It just screams "this is fake". A toy motorcycle jumping from tree to tree filmed from the back seat of a car would have looked better.
@@H.E.R.e yeah, I think they did this on purpose. It's to give it a cartoonish comic book like feel. I like it and I like this movie. Been one of my favorite movies since I first saw it, about 10 years ago.
That’s not an excuse. Independence Day came out in the 90’s and looked better than this. The Lord of the Rings trilogy came out a few years prior to this garbage and the VFX effects in all three of those movies are better than many of today’s effects.
I liked it. I like the story, the actors, the action, etc. I was entertained, but I guess people like different things. I also liked Equillibrium by the same director.
Ok whose idea was that to feed a minigun from a box magazine? 🤣🤣🤣🤣 let me be honest Jovovich is like the worst actress ever that I was a fan of... but what can we do, kickass we dig...
I think a remake of this movie with better CGI would be amazing
Agree. The characters and plot were really good just the cg's not

Really puts Sharkboy and Lava Girl to shame
HomeMade Memes lol
Lol relatable
😂😂
The gravity on that motorcycle is nonexistent
The gravity leveler a device that can dare to defy the laws of physics

This is what i watch when i have a bad day, because the combination of bad CG and awkward motorcycle always puts a smile on my face
Same 🤣

That's the same excuse I would've given...
"It was meant to be bad" is the nadir of bad movie defenses
He purposefully wanted it to look bad?
the bike was having a seizure mid air
To be fair, it was probably latching onto the building with that wierd anti-gravity thing
I mean I knew what he wanted to make with this. it just feels like a the tech hasn't catch up with what he wanted to make yet.
Nah, the tech wasn't as bad as this at the time. The movie came out in 2006 and the CGI looks like it's from 1997.
Says you kidding? The Matrix is 1999.
Yeah the tech was there he just got hit the discount CG team
...so they put the engine from Event Horizon on a motorcycle...?
Almost 20 years later, i am still befuddled by the lack of blood in a VAMPIRE movie
Great movie to me. Some may disagree, but I found it quite fun and exciting to watch.
You dont have to watch one movie all your life, theres a lot more out there

i like how they preface this world with “you may not understand it”, showing everyone wearing face masks, meanwhile that’s life now :D
I will be watching UltraViolet today Milla Jovovich
This movie hope there will be part 2 and use the car now the latest version like the car avatar it's best use when ultraviolet use it
That human being is a machine
This CGI is is newer so technically should be more advanced than the lord of the ring movies that were released from 2001-2003 lol WOW
Man, does she have the ability to be intangible cuz not one of those bullets hit her
The screen gems
I like to believe the bad cgi was on purpose. The filter on the movie makes it seem like it belongs and the comic book theme.
Damn this movie CGI was incredible, well, 15 years ago it was :P
It wasn't even then, look the year were matrix was released
It was terrible 15 years ago. It's still terrible now
Gotta appreciate the lack of fucks given in this movie
It's Inga that turn her song on
I really love the movie and the CGI looks realistic(my opinion)
