Watching Henry work is my favorite part of this channel, and its all good. I love watching when out in the field and diagnose and fix broken rigs

Good demonstration! I had a Suzuki Samurai once that ate u-joints. On long trips I would carry extra joints, two bricks and a socket that would fit the cap perfectly. Only had to change once in the road.

You made this look way to easy lol. I removed the ones today on my 94 YJ and it didn’t go that smooth at all lol. For one in 94 they basically used whatever they had in the parts ben so the one is either a 1310 or a 1330. Had to use a digital caliper to figure it out and sure enough I got 3 1310s and 1 1330.
My Transmission is currently getting rebuilt so idk if I should go ahead and install the new ones and tape them up so they don’t fall out or wait till I get my trans back which I’m not sure when it will be. Probably a couple weeks if that long.
Today I only got the small driveshaft u-joints out and marked 1310 and 1330. Don’t know if I’m going to install them tomorrow or wait hmm

Nice. Good content, I like the shift in formats. If I had not done 50 of these in the past, this would have been great. I did learn something however with the various sizes of the clips. I usually get only 4 clips. Ever do the ones with the nylon insert? Fun to melt them out.

Do you know what I’ve never ever seen the plastic ones that sounds cool though a lot better than trying to dig those little metal ones out and I love when they go flying and you stay real still listening to where it may have Landed so you may have a chance to be able to find it lol

hi henry, thankyou for a very informative video. keep em coming. cant wait to get my TJ later on this year. being in great britain we dont get many choices. just trying to way the pros and cons on either, petrol/gas or diesel, 4.0 or 2.5 tdi/?, and whether to get manual/stick or auto. wat would you suggest. many thanks forrest :)

That’s a very good question when I would love to answer this. But remember it comes down to what you truly like and want. With that said I would go for the diesel only because here in the states we don’t have it LOL and the diesel will be more water proof then the gas engines (no ignition) and the low end power they have but the 4.0 gas is a BEAST it makes Axle snapping torque at low end and is very very reliable ! But a pig on gas mine gets 16 mpg us gal
Onto transmissions. The automatic that they use on the gas six cylinder was OK I don’t know what comes behind the diesel since we never got one but I would imagine it’s pretty beefy. You can’t go wrong with Manual transmissions although it’s a art form to rock crawl or off-road with them we like them a lot but the auto is better for off road use for sure that and It’s more waterproof than the manual transmission which can let water in it through the shifters and can damage your clutch and pilot bearing and throw out bearing They each have their pros and cons but I am very very happy with the gas 4.0 with the five speed we have personal experience with them and Have been very very good
