    The state assembly's most important job is funding and improving public education. They have failed for over a decade. Place blame where it belongs. Giving half a billion dollars to private schools is not how you improve public schools. Pretending that money isn't the answer, when NC has never once ranked number one in school funding, is an indictment of Republican lack of leadership.

      The problem is Republicans giving money to an unaccountable private school voucher system. Brockman needs to be more accountable to his Democratic Voters

      ​@@Jilla0559 That was a typo, sorry. Vouchers are designed to make the public schools into the dumping ground for students with disabilities, learning problems, and disciplinary problems. Vouchers are also away to recover segregation, as many schools getting vouchers today were originally opened to thwart desegregation.

    Another thing to keep in mind is that this time around both the governor and lieutenant governor are of the same party.
