Blueovaldieselpower95 As far as I know from talking with the guys over at Irate it is not p-pumped. Massive injectors, twin hpops, god knows what kind of turbo setup, ect.
+mlanceTGB there's a conversion kit that you can do that deletes the fuel bowl.its expensive but as far as sled pulling goes you can't touch it. search it up.
+Brad Sankey that's insane. Probably alot of money invested into that truck. I'm still with stock fuel and turbo on my 01. just tuned straight piped and stage 2 intake and I'm not seeing half of those numbers. need more money haha
Blueovaldieselpower95 with stock injectors your only going to see 320-340hp at the wheels. My 97 with 150cc injectors, 366 turbo, exhaust, intake, trans, tuning got 382/771
+Brad Sankey damn those are solid numbers for a 7.3. thinking about going with a gtp38r and maybe swamps stage 1 single shots. wish the 99.5-03 stayed with the single shots I hate the split shots.
@DeathCoreGamer 7.3 motor is made by IH, the reverse rotation was necessitated by Ford as the original med duty 7.3 application uses a standard rotation turbo. CAT designed the HEUI system but IH uses it now. Byran uses a custom tubro set up.
@DeathCoreGamer very well built 7.3 PSD. One key component Bryan mentioned to keeping BP down and HP up was getting the 2 waste gates plumbed in and set up properly.
actually they technically share a commonrail of fuel and commonrail of oil. They aren't the traditional high pressure fuel commonrail with a CP3 and they are most definitely direct injected, they have been since 1994.
+Jonathan Smith its not common rail, all direct injected 7.3s use HEUI injection, which is driven by a 2nd oil pump, at a much higher pressure. Oil fired injectors basically, but all 7.3s since like 94 i believe are direvt injected
Yes your correct but they share a commonrail of oil and a commonrail of fuel.... The injectors have 7:1 intensifier Pistons inside. Direct injected is just a term to where the fuel is fired inside the piston. Old Indirect injection was fired into a mixing chamber. That's why I said "technically" in my first comment along with my 1994 comment
I'll agree with you it shares the same rail for fuel and the same rail for oil so you could actually consider it a dual common rail setup and it is most defiantly direct injection.
It looked like a train with all of that exhast coming out of the pipe XD Was that blast of smoke/dust that escaped from the turbo blow-off because that would be very impressive?
horsepower is torque in ft/lbs multiplied by the rpm divided by 5252. I am guessing this truck will make peak torque at somewhere around 3000 rpm, so a rough estimate of torque in ft/lbs would be around 1870, because 1870 multiplied by 3000 and then divided by 5252 equals about 1068 horsepower
HP=TQxRPM yes I think the difference is where the engines make their power, a diesel makes it at about 2k rpm, which = less HP at that point. a petrol on the other hand makes high HP at high rpm with lower TQ. that said they can all be tuned differently as said below, but unlikely to beat each other
please are there some manual or videos that show how can i modificate my diesel engine for take this quantity of powerhp???? please engineers help me to beging to modify diesel engines. god job masters!!
turbos, waste gates on both headers/exhaust manifolds to keep BP down, 910 compcam valve springs, head studs, forged push rods are what I can think of off the top of my head. I had a 7.3 so I understand your question I didn't need to be a dick in a reply. Good luck and have a lot of money.
how come at 38 seconds the smoke turns to black but the rpm's and engine sound doesn't change at all? Does he hit a button and change the tune or something?
+El Guapo Yeah turbos clear smoke pretty quickly when injected with half a tank of nitrous.......that must have been a huge fucking spray to clear that pig like that.
How so, genius? That's what it is. If you want, I'll send Brian (builder and owner of this truck) a text and ask him the size and brand of the wastegate.
All you need is a nice set of 400/400s , dual disc , early 2000 forged rods , some valve spring stuff gigantic turbo and a Hydra ;) and a nice fuel system and you can stump everyone 🤣couple other 7.3 secrets
diesel bro, not gasoline, i know more than the last time, i know that the diesel cumins use an auxiliar EFI Computer to gain this power , but i dont know if the EFI system bring more fuel at low rpms, because the engines when is starting brings more quantities of smoke , and it continues at high rpm range, the efilive for example i think that is programable or uses some modes of efi work mode its my dubt.
well here is the cummins guy hahaha this truck is nasty i love the 444 ci international but he could have a 2000hp cummins for the price it cost to make 1000 in that powerstroke you cant argue that its a quote from diesel power magazine thats why every pro stock pulling truck is a cummins more reliable and cheaper to make insane power but i love all diesel even powerstroke and duramax any diesel is better than a gas job!!
The blast of smoke that comes out of the car would be the wastegate opening. The wastegate opens when the maximum boost is reached. It bypasses the exhaust gases so that the turbocharger can not produce any higher psi. Some people route the wastegate back into the exhaust, others have it venting directly to the atmosphere. This is called a screamer pipe which is what you see here.
@yamahar87 Your english is bad so I'm guessing your not from the US? To make a 7.3 get that HP # requires a plenty of money. You'll need forged aftermarket connecting rods, stock forged rods will hold 5-600, cyro-ed stock forged rods hold about 700-800ish hp. You'll need very large hybrid injectors from either Swamps diesel or Unlimited diesel, a Terminator or BTS HPOP, a BTS transmission, a aftermarket fuel system, an extremely large turbo or better yet twin turbos/compound or sequential
hands down... this is the coolest thing ive ever seen....
Spongo you and me both
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for watching!
something along the lines of "when you have that kind of hp from a diesel, the torque will be enough to pull the moon in to earth's orbit..."
Sounded like a top fuel dragster when he floored it, awesome!
welp time to go work on my 7.3. im motivated now
slicks all around that just looks boss
She cleaned up real quick, well tuned machine
Lots of power makes the idle sound like that. A friend of mine has a 7.3L making about 725HP, and it still doesn't sound like this one.
dat idle
Probably p pumped and set up to pull a sled. Things still a monster. Long live the 7.3 still getting shit done

thanks for your contribution
though this wasnt a fuel only run, you sure were able to clean up that fuel with whatever charger/nitrous shot he was using! nice pull
Listen to that Cam lope.. He did some grinding on that thing
It's done with the tune
I like the 05 front end conversion, nice taste
I love lamp
I like those wheels tough looking!

Why doesn't that truck have mirrors? BECAUSE RACETRUCK.
only need mirrors if you are worried about someone catching up lol
@DeathCoreGamer
very well built 7.3 PSD. One key component Bryan mentioned to keeping BP down and HP up was getting the 2 waste gates plumbed in and set up properly.
Dat idle
impressive considering the 7.3 is not a common rail direct injected diesel
Teamster Pride I think it may be the first fully electronic diesel the big three gave us.
actually they technically share a commonrail of fuel and commonrail of oil. They aren't the traditional high pressure fuel commonrail with a CP3 and they are most definitely direct injected, they have been since 1994.

@dtjf350 thanks bro lol for your comprension , good !!
My 7.3 just needs half of that power and I'll be a very happy man!! Could pull my large trailer and 3 others up mountains without feeling a thing.
@789films
it is a 99.5-03 model.
It looked like a train with all of that exhast coming out of the pipe XD
Was that blast of smoke/dust that escaped from the turbo blow-off because that would be very impressive?
My ford excursion has a stack on the hood like that
horsepower is torque in ft/lbs multiplied by the rpm divided by 5252. I am guessing this truck will make peak torque at somewhere around 3000 rpm, so a rough estimate of torque in ft/lbs would be around 1870, because 1870 multiplied by 3000 and then divided by 5252 equals about 1068 horsepower
he must mean the atmosphere but only a little bit the moon is huge
Awesome as 10 years ago 500 hp was max for a 7.3 stroke.
This Video is 10 years old, this was done long time ago.
Looking like a little more than 500 hp, 10 years ago...
Your off quite a bit on that 500 number.
it depends on what rpm the hp max is,less then 5252 then torque is higher then hp
Those injectors are so loud!! You can tell they mean business
Holy Cats! My 7.3 diesel has like 3 horsepower! LOL!
These things happen. One thing I've learned is that the RUclips crowd sure is a rough one.
HP=TQxRPM yes

@DanielJaegerFilms it sure did!

god job masters!!
Who said anything about powerstrokes running EFI?
@CountyBoys706 "7.3L Getting it done 1069 HP" 7.3L V8 obviously. But who makes it? is it turbo'ed or supercharged?
It's already there...
That truck is badass One day my truck will have that much horsepower
It’s been 6 years. Is it there yet?
@@corbantwiss174 in4 hp update
update?
Bet it doesnt
It’s 7 years now. Still living with dad and mom?
Doesn't sound like a 7.3L when it's idling.... it sounds like a fucking MONSTER. Holy shit.
turbos, waste gates on both headers/exhaust manifolds to keep BP down, 910 compcam valve springs, head studs, forged push rods are what I can think of off the top of my head. I had a 7.3 so I understand your question I didn't need to be a dick in a reply.

Id like to know whats all on this truck because i have 1999 7.3 that i am thinking about tuning it up like this one
Wonder what the torque is at
Was this at rudy's dyno day?
what system do you use for???
his point exactly
the powerstroke is made by international, not international harvester. two totally different companies.
0:55 ENJOY
@DeathCoreGamer you cant hear the turbo?!!?
4wheel burnout on dry pavement?
dyno sheet? whyd you wait so long to roll on it in 3rd?
i wonder how many transmissions this guy has replaced or rebuilt haha
EFI system???
anyone know the year model ??
is this bryans's truck?
how come at 38 seconds the smoke turns to black but the rpm's and engine sound doesn't change at all? Does he hit a button and change the tune or something?
thats when the dyno started to put a load on the rear wheels.
Don't you hear the turbo spool? Same time it starts rolling coal
***** turbos dont make black smoke......... they clear it.......
+El Guapo Yeah turbos clear smoke pretty quickly when injected with half a tank of nitrous.......that must have been a huge fucking spray to clear that pig like that.
*****
who are you talking to? and what are you talking about? your comment is irrelevant to anything said here
How fast was it doing on the dyno?
3.5 mph
isnt this brians powerstroke?
What the hell what engine does that thing have? looks sick
7.3L Powerstroke Turbo Diesel
@zaxsouthern79
Yes.
HOLLY FUCK
i can tell ytou now thats a bad ass truck i met the dude he was makin 11.66 through the quarter in dinwiddie
@1136levi You got about 45k to spend? Might be able to get down like this truck then.
Magnus Feirenbacher it may have a 7.3 diesel engine, but its not a powerstroke. its the same size, but totally different engine.
+Matt Leonard and what engine would it be?
thats a 7.3 idi.
its an International Harvester or IH
because they are drastically different engines. an engine will its own unique sound, no matter how much power it makes.
definitely not an idi LOL and its not international harvestor or IH btw thats the same thang its just international....
number 1. diseles knock like that if you knew about diesels.
and number 2.SINCE When did DIESELS have SPARKPLUGS? glowplugs dude
shane merrick they don't knock really, more of injector snap with those 7.3
Glow plugs are only for cold start diesels run of compression
Very manly
i think he just meant the truck had enough torque to pull whatever the fuck he wants with his truck
Is a diesel. They knock
how much torque ?
gary mathews 1069 rwhp, 1768 rwtq
heres the source watch?v=0GKMCP_d61w
gary mathews some
Aaaaaaaand it needs to be fixed..... Just kidding. Insane truck!
I would like to build my 03 7.3 powerstoke how much would it take money wise to get about 500 wheel hp and 1000 ft pounds of torque
Well reaching 100 lbs of tq is easy lol just run it on 3 cylinders 😂
Jesse Taylor lol i just relized i said 100 i meant like around 1000
Is that all motor or does it have juice
I would guess it has a massive spray to clear up a pig like that
3000 lb ft of torque
hhahahahaha you really made my morning!
1768.
How so, genius? That's what it is. If you want, I'll send Brian (builder and owner of this truck) a text and ask him the size and brand of the wastegate.
When it's idling all I can think of is this truck eating a prius
Was this Brian Jelichs 7.3?
Yes!
Ford is the best truck out there
All you need is a nice set of 400/400s , dual disc , early 2000 forged rods , some valve spring stuff gigantic turbo and a Hydra ;) and a nice fuel system and you can stump everyone 🤣couple other 7.3 secrets

ok prius boy. its called a front end conversion
That’s Brian Jelichs truck I think
Yes sir, the OG
@@Yellowlab247_NC_Outdoors hell yea I remember him from diesel power magazine back like 2010
@sportscarfan1989 Obviously not or else I wouldn't have asked if it was turbo'ed
Exhaust and a tune, right? Or did you do injectors too? Lol
Banks Sticker
