- Braniff International Flight Attendant and current Braniff Airways Foundation Board Member Claudia Bevill sat down with the Braniff Airways Foundation's Collin Ice on July 7, 2024, for an enlightening talk about Ms. Bevill's career with America's Most Colorful Carrier. Ms. Bevill began her career at the dawn of the beginning of the End of the Plain Plane giving our audience an insight into her unique perspective.
The Braniff International Oral History Program ensures that the lifetimes and legacies of Braniff's magnificent employee corps are saved in oral history video format for future generations to admire and enjoy. Braniff Airways Foundation has been conducting the program since 2001.

Lovely, charming Southern lady…BRANIFF was a very cool airline.
Delightful interview. Too bad she couldn't stay on with Braniff longer than a year or two. She's just lovely. I was enamored by the Braniff brand and wanted so badly to work there. I indeed did start my career as a flight attendant several years after the original Braniff filed for bankruptcy and I am still at it in 2024! I'm always inspired by listening to stews who worked before me tell their stories. I, too, now have many stories of my own. Thank you, Ms Claudia, for this interview.
When I was 11 years old in 1976, my Mother, Aunt, and I flew to Hawaii on one of the Braniff 747's out of DFW. It was the first time any of us had ever flown, and it was just amazing. I remember several meals and snacks during the approximately 9 hr. flight on fine china with real glassware and cutlery. I'm so glad that I got to experience that. It was the golden age of flying that has been lost to history that we'll never see again.
