Guys this feels so much better on my knees than when I was using the bench. Thank you for the video. My glutes were also sore the next day which tells me it really hits them. I love this exercise.
I heard Front Foor Elevated Split Squats are more glute dominant. Is that true? Front foot elevated with your back foot on the ground. I know you could do the back foot elevated split squats and lean forward for your glutes. I'm just wondering what's the best overall for your glutes. Thanks so much. this was a great video.
Whatever side is most comfortable to you! Note that if only loading with a single dumbbell, you will be putting greater strain on the stabilizing muscles. Not a bad thing, just something to note! :)
Your back foot on bench is glute side being worked primarily not your front foot on floor? If you are prioritizing quad then your foot on floor quad is being worked? Correct or am I backwards.
No, your knee does not need to touch the ground. If you're a taller individual, you may need to elevate your back foot slightly more, especially if you're running out of range before you hit the desired depth in the front leg.
Can someone please explain this to me: i did glute dominant bulgarian SS yesterday and could totaly feel it in my left glute (non dominant side). However, i could barely feel it on my right glute.ANd felt it in my quad. Now my right quad hurts...if my feet and angles were in the same position for each side, WHY did i only feel this in my right quad!? Please help
I already know this is physical development I don't care what your name is and I can tell from the title of the video what you're going to be talking about. Explain to me how to set the movement up so I can finish my sets and go to my job.
Well idiot, don't watch it at the gym. Watch it before or go watch a short from someone else. What's wrong with you making up issues for a perfectly comprehensible and detailed explanation ffs

Great video! I’ve always struggled with BSS, and thought that bench is too hight for me to do this with stable posture… This lower elevation is great!
Glad it was helpful! Can't wait to hear how it goes!

Best video on this topic thank you!!
Appreciate the love, thank you!
Pointing my foot down hurts like hell thanks for confirming I can just be on the ball of my foot
Absolutely, glad to help!
If i want to train with just one dumbbell does it matter on which side i hold it ?
Whatever side is most comfortable to you! Note that if only loading with a single dumbbell, you will be putting greater strain on the stabilizing muscles. Not a bad thing, just something to note! :)
@@AlexBush_Shorts Thank you!
Thanks for answering this, Alex! :)

The foot that is on the ground, that is the glute being worked!
Does my knee have to touch the ground?

Sadly I still can’t feel my glute working, still just my quads 😕
Weird! If you don't mind taking a video & sending it to Alex@physiquedevelopment.com, I'll take a look & see what the missing link is!

hey rachel! this would be much easier to help if we could see a video. Can you email a video to sue@Physiquedevelopment.com?
Real.
Very real, thank you!
Y not front foot elevated
You could do front foot elevated, it isn't what I'm teaching on in this video.

I have no idea what this is suppose to mean.

Did it for you!
If you run your mouth as much as this guy does, you don't need split squats to get a dump truck.
5 minutes? Giving detail on how to set the exercise up is too much?
you talk so much bro
Thanks for your feedback! What was the fluff you would have cut?
@PhysiqueDevelopment just tell me exactly what to do to set up the movement. I need to finish this video so I can do the movement and get to my job.
