Hardee's is another long time staple. John knows everyone when they walk in. He opened a store in Crown Heights some years back and knew darn near everyone who walked in. He kept saying " Wow, you live over here too?"

@@alanabruno He opened up the one in Crown Heights because the Myrtle Ave one burned down. He rebuilt it though. When I Iived in Bedstuy we used to drive or take a cab to the Fort Green location. He has a few locations now. He said he was definitely rebuilding the Fort Green location. His menus are awesome because whatever his customers ask for if he doesn't have it it ends up on the menu. He still always has crowded stores.
I dont know about regular food but I know the more you chop onions, the more flavor gets released which is why your burgers taste better with really fine onions as opposed to big thick ones. But anyhow, Delis like these are always hidden gems for great food.

As a person who worked in a deli alot of people always ask for their deli meat shaved you can taste the flavor better when it's super thin . I have no doubt that this sandwich was super good .

I used to live in a shelter near here and boy on the first when that food stamp hit at 12:01 my husband and I used to run here and get a sandwich. Omg it was the best. I haven't been there in years, glad to see they still doing good.
