Safety is a big factor. In Los Angeles. No way I would allow my wife to walk our dogs by herself. In Thailand, she could go to the park at night and be safe without worried about getting attacked by homeless drug addicts.

I am Thai and traveled the word extensively. Thailand
    +
5G is among the world best
The world's best service and food
    Best-value-of-money cost of living
Bangkok is safer than most Western big cities
Beaches and mountains are short drive away
    People are friendly
Hospital service is among the world's best
    International schools are everywhere
    -
    City pollution
    Winter Smog
    Bangkok Traffic
Roads in Thailand is far unsafe than Western, because relax of rules
    Summer is damn hot
Thai police are scam and bribed
Overall, I can't think of better place to live in Thailand, dollar for dollar. Food, service, people and culture makes you feel like home.

As a Thai American who is currently living the expat life. Please learn the Thai language, it will help you immerse yourself to the Thai community. Language will help you with business connections. Also people love it when people try to communicate our mother tongue. Do not exploit the country by being a cheap bastard or expect people to bend to your will. Overall, learn, grow, and enjoy EVERYTHING Thailand has to offer. ขอขอบคุณสำหรับการฟัง. Love your content bro.

As someone who wants to become a digital nomad myself, I loved this video! Would you ever become a digital nomad in Riyadh?

Thailand is amazing to stay in, especially in the North. The Prepaied phone plans with unlimited data makes Internet Connection like a breeze, food is world class, and they have the whole cuisine of the world as well. Western food has been cheaper and cheaper so price difference between Thai food and Western isen't as big anymore. Best time of the year to syat in Thailand is November - February in the North, and Thailand has great places regardless year around. So if the weather is bad in one area of Thailand, its good another place in Thailand. Price Range is cheap, but not dirt cheap. Nepal, India and Vietnam are dirt cheap, thailand is only a bit on the cehaper end realy. But you will get a good life for 1500 USD a month here. Its also easy to sort a longer stay when you get there, and if you ask expats that lives there or long term tourists they will tell you how.

2010-2017: China 🇨🇳 and Taiwan 🇹🇼. 2017- January 2024. 2024 to Belize 🇧🇿 for 1-3 months and then go to Columbia, to Thailand or back to America if my business is up to 8k per month.
I lived in Sweden in 1999 . So yeah… better to live in Asia, most of South America and I may try Croatia 🇭🇷 someday.

I heard it is illegal to work in Thailand on tourist visa. Did you have any precautions to not get caught?

    • @Minoritynomad
      @Minoritynomad Год назад +3

It's actually illegal pretty much everywhere in the world to work on a tourists/visitors visa. The key, most places don't care or chase people unless it's obvious. Like visa runs.

@@tuomaskivI suggest a Simo hotspot that you can always connect to the fastest internet service/connection so you don’t bounce around from coffee shop. You can also share the signal with your friends but I suggest not sharing uploading videos with each other unless you buy a larger amount of gigs per month.
I lived in Taiwan and China for 7 years. Always furnished. Some better than others. Best food is street food. Unless a fancy Western restaurant where you treat yourself to a place with a bunch of expats.
I traveled to Phuket for a week and my Mother lived in Bangkok. She couldn’t handle the heat.
BTW in China and Taiwan. Safest places I’ve lived and shift never gets stolen. Mostly because of Chinese cameras in airports. Good or bad and in 2015. I saw someone leave a computer 💻 by accident and sat in an airport. Nobody touched it. I couldn’t believe it. In America the Macbook would have been stolen.

Being young and retired with money is better than being a digital nomad because you legally pay low taxes to the I.R.S your home country!

don't forget if you ever try to build a family here you can't. No matter how much you earn and what work you need a Thai gurantor to buy a fucking car. Now imagine the rest. You may forget that you can't buy land here but you need to rememebr even for a condomonium you need to transfer the full amount in Cash from outside of Thailand paying significant remittance fees unless you have a PR or citizenship which takes years to build. Thailand is not a long term option. Don't look at this place as your permanent home. If you married a local take her to your country.
