Thank you buddy, I just received this same ssd this morning, I’ll try to put in my ps5 tomorrow, I learning to speak english and this video help me a lot because is very easy for understand thank you 🎮🙏🏻
Fantastic video, clear explanation , one thing need to add ,no one mention ...take small cloth and puth above the fan grill, to avoid screws will slip in hands and entered in the fan grill
Bro i bought the same ssd, but it seems included heat spreader isnt that good, do you think i need to get after market heatsink for hot places like india ?
I bought this heat sink to make it last longer: MHQJRH M.2 2280 SSD Heatsink, Double Sided Heat Sink With Thermal Silicone Pad For PC/PS5. only $10 from amazon and it is 21 decrees cooler.
Usually it says on the Sticker itself if removing it will will affect the warranty or not. Most of them say that removing the Sticker will not remove the warranty. It it doesn't say that I would check with the vendor first because it's better to remove it.
I just used a MHQJRH M.2 2280 SSD heatsink, Double-Sided Heat Sink, with Thermal Silicone pad for PS5 and a 4TB ADATA - XPG GAMMIX S70 Blade 4TB Internal SSD PCIe Gen 4 x4 on my PS5. I did not like the one sided Heatsink for PS5 that came with ADATA - XPG GAMMIX S70 Blade 4TB Internal SSD PCIe Gen 4 x4.

I am thinking the same, did you stack the PNY heatsink on top of the included heatsink? Or is it possible to put the included heatsink on below of the ssd?
@anggorootes If you put it below there is a risk of forcing to insert it in it's slot and cause damage because the space is too thin, you can try but if it doesn't fit comfortably that would be a bad idea. Please let me know what you end up doing!
I have been having trouble with my ssd. After i formated the ssd the speeds were over 6300. I am trying to install the new starwars game, which is around 150gb! It starts to copy at fast speeds and then it slows way down. This is the second time it's happened because I already tried to do this. It slows down, and I can hear it powering down and time to complete is over 99 hours. I installed a 3rd party heatsink with the ssd. Any solutions? I might mention, we have terribly slow internet.
@SamuelNeely I would try switching back to internal PS5's SSD and try installing there to see if the same issue happens, if it's the same then it's the Internet, if it was way faster then something is wrong with the 4TB SSD. You can switch locations by going to the home screen and select Settings > Storage > Installation Location to set this up.
@TheTarnishedGamer Well, I 100% know it will be slower or about the same if I switch back to the internal ssd. So, it must be the internet! Oh man, our internet sucks lol. I even have an ethernet cable. Thanks for your answers!
Nice video but I must say if people are making these mistakes they are idiots. A lot of it is just plain common sense and knowing the way to handle tech
I just installed an SSD to my PS5, and your video helped me a lot. Thanks 😊

If you're having performance issues, then yes, I would recommend getting a better Heat Synch. But if you're having no issues, it should be OK!

hi just want to ask should i remove the warranty Sticker on the back off sdd before install it or just leave it together 😅

@kicksg3786 Thank you for the update! Double Sided is definitely better!
Is it possible to combine with PNY heatsink? Should i remove the XPG heatsink before to do it?
I'm sorry I didn't reply sooner! I just saw your comment! If the cover closes without force with both heatsinks on then I don't see a problem.
@@TheTarnishedGamer thanks for the reply. Now i use 2 heatsink and no problem when attached it. I just don’t know it’s efficient or not

Hi, did you remove the warranty sticker?, Thanks in advance
No, I did not. There wasn't one to remove on that side.
Very useful thank you and keep it up 👍🏻

Is it just Jedi or other games as well? What's the SSD Type?
@TheTarnishedGamer I've only tried star wars. It's a xpg gammix s70 blade 4t

Which screwdriver do you use?
I’m drying to remove the screw that would hold the XPG but for some reason it will not budge with any screwdriver I have.
Just a regular small cross head one
@@TheTarnishedGamer I believe the screw is damaged. It will not move at all.
I used a 360/+ x50
