    Thanks for the video. To clarify the reaction: On the anode side: Fe > Fe++ and 2e-. On the cathode side: O2 + H2O + 4e- > 4OH- ionic reaction is: OH- joining with Fe++. This could be completely wrong. But its youtube comments so i dont care.

    Is it Fe(OH) or Fe(OH)3? I am also seeing some sources saying a secondary reaction takes place. The book Automotive Coating Formulation is saying the Fe(OH)3 is "cleaving" water to form iron oxide hydrate Fe2O3 ' H20. I'm not sure what cleaving means.
