Nadja and Georgina out here pulling up the pronunciation game of TLDR all by themselves!
I mean to be fair they did lower the standards initially.
Ok nvm I just understood your comment. This is atrocious xD
Her spanish is terrible 😂😂😂
"Compromise"... she keeps using this word... I do not think she knows what it means. (It's not "comprise"!)
@@didixtar2863no it’s not. It’s not fluent but she did a decent job with Spanish that it almost sounds like someone who learned some light conversational Spanish
@@NewsGuyFred I’m a native spanish speaker, her pronunciation is awful, even for very common spanish names. It’s not that hard to get a couple of names right.
That news from Mexico is absolutely horrible 🥺
Mexico is a failed statr
How do they break that cycle? IMO, only making the economy better so the populace that would be potential cartel members decide against joining the cartels
@@NewsGuyFred you can't just improve the economy. The cartels destroy trust in the economy. You have to deal with the Cartels first.
You do that by getting America to stop providing weapons to them and buying drugs. That would instantly destroy the cartel business model.
@@NewsGuyFred The irony is that Mexico is experiencing an economic boom, but that helps the cartels too.
But how is she pronouncing the names?
I watched an entire debate and I must say you did a great job on reviewing important parts. I do not say this lightly, well done.
A German leader getting along with an Italian right winger, where have we seen that before?

Where would von der Leyen even get support from if she wants to work with ECR, but not ID? EPP-RE-ECR wouldn't get a majority, and all of the groups that are on the left of them would never want to work with ECR
The ID is literally made out of scum. Literal fascists, ultra conservative anti-EU parties, the EPP will proably not work with them becuase they are still pro-EU and moderate in nature.
Maybe because ID politicians are mostly radicals working for Russia and the CCP?
Alot of re is social libs who will also not work with them
I mean, they could. They need 353 for a majority. 180ish + around 85 each = 350. So with a bit more or some NI support they could easily. That is, assuming RE and ECR would wanna work together.
Mexican part is mind boggling & sad - 04:05
Average day in mexico.
Can we go ONE WEEK without a “why X country is shifting right” video
sure, when we all have governments like in Hungary or Russia 🙃
@@hakanozaslan9571 Having a right sided government is good. Its however bad when you have a far left or far right government.
Especially considering the shift to left and right is nothing unusually in western politics.
We always see the same pattern, a left party gets into power, they promise a lot, under deliver and a few years to a decade or so later, the voting public have had enough of them and then end up voting for an alternative to the right, rinse and repeat and this happens every few elections, it's even more the case in countries like the UK and US where it's always swinging from left to right all the time lol.
In the end, it doesn't really matter which side is in power, not much changes overall and this merry-go-round continues with the hope that real change that benefits the people will happen, which is highly unlikely regardless of left or right of politics, and in the end, they will tell us what they think we want to hear, not what they can deliver.
So in the case of Europe, there's a shift towards the right, that will probably last 2 or 3 elections before people get fed up with them because they talk a lot but under deliver and then the eventually swing back to the left happens, it's kinda old news and so predictable now.
Because mass migration is raping this continent and we are done being fucked around with
I’ve noticed that the past half year the videos writing has gotten better. I’m guessing in the past year or so they hired more people who can do more research?
So VDL is just swinging from left to right to stay in power. How can anyone even take her seriously she’s flip flopping get her out
VDL is from the centrist Popular Party. A coalition with a moderate right wing party is just as acceptable as the current coalition with left wing Socialists.
Conversely, if you deem anyone to the right of EPP as “hard right”, others are justified in calling anyone to the left of EPP as “hard left”.

She'd probably be temporarily replaced by the vice president until she recovered?

Thats a contradicion either those parties which agree on these conditions are not hard right or there wont be a deal
Not really. Most of them will negotiate on all those points to get concessions on other issues. It's a "we stay EU and we choose US over alternatives" list, nothing more.
Wow. Your Spanish is excellent!
Please study how the EU works. While the Commission is the most *visible* organ of the EU, it’s definitely not the most *powerful* as it is subordinate to the Council and Parliament.
❤❤❤
oohh, the host let her hair down for the sponsor ;)
Get rid of Ursula. NOW
Unfortunatelly I think Ursula will continue being the head comissioner of the EU for another 4 years... Not that I like her but that's the sad reality, given that the EPP will very likely win the next elections.
How do you believe should replace her?
whats so bad about her
Agree let's put Meloni instead 😊😊😊
@@Mark-gd2ti I wouldn't put Meloni either. Not that she isn't a good leader in Italy, but I don't think she would be a good leader in Europe in general. She defends the opposite of what needs to be done right now in the EU.
Mexico out here trying to have a more unstable political system than interwar Japan 💀
0:58 Czech ODS / CDP is not far right at all.
My hope that Von der Leyen will shift out! She's definitely unfitted for the role, EU has one of the best human rights document but she's not even able to condemn straightforward massacre (or better she accurately chooses which massacre is to condemn and which is allowed without any problem). If EU has not done the next step, becoming a real international player instead of US colony is because of people like her
Consevatives like UvL will always go right if it serves them... Just look at Austria or Germany
There are basically no conservative politicians left in Austria. As a conservative, you either vote for the center-left and accept their "economic strategies" or vote for Far-Right and get nothing but divisive rethoric.
This lady has become a danger for democracy.
Danger for democracy doing what the people vote for???? People who believe that are the real danger.
UVDL?

How so?
The West in general is shifting right as the far right movement has an ace up its sleeve: anti migrant policies. No society wants mass migration but other politicians are too "polite" to really say so. As long as the far right has this advantage, they will unfortunately keep growing.
"Politics is all about compromise."
"So compromise with progressives?"
"Oh god no, I meant compromise with racists."
@@rhubarbjin Well, maybe those "progressives" shouldn't have dumped working class...
An issue that can't be ignored anymore
Many people don´t have a clue frankly and are just thinking tribally. After Brexit, it turned out we needed immigrants much more than we thought. The thing is people don´t realise that policing a border costs a lot of money, you could do it, but you´d have to spend more money on border police compared to other services.
Yeah, because you greedy globalists are trying to destroy the west
Interesting - I had a read of your "source material" and noticed it is kinda limited in its breadth of political views and information... Politico, NYT, BBC and Guardian is very much like sourcing from the same well... certainly regarding political nuance (Progressive).
would love to see a right wing EU
she's called von der leyen. not wondalen. a better approximation in english would be "fonn there lye enn".
ECR are in no way hard right
Meloni is better suited in the EPP as she lied through her teeth
Does Nadja she speak Spanish at least intermediate level? Because she did good on the Spanish names and geographical locations of Mexico!
Reform bods will be demanding that we join if the EU does shift to the hard right.
LOL.
Isn't calling all of ECR "hard-right" bit of a stretch?
It could be justifiable to call them central-right but it's truly at the border, with ID being obviously far-right. (Not saying there's anything wrong with that).
I wish ID was larger
ECR is right-wing, betweem far-right ID, and center-right EPP.
Besides, depends on the party.
Some ECR members, like Meloni, are chill, others are utterly autistic.
Yeah, ECR are the typical conservatives Europe always has had.

Von Der Leyon wants pro rule of law? Well that rules out herself and German members generally from being in that party.
Who?
It's inevitable that EU voters will shift right. It's just a matter of how swiftly it will happen. If it's not farmers that the EU are targeting, they're welcoming in any and all from Africa like there's no cause for concern. This will result in a rightward shift.
Except that´s not quite true is it. Plenty of people are turned back and border laws have got stricter. The whole point is that just tightening the controls won´t work.
@Letsthinkaboutit-mb7nn You're the exact type of person that spouts nonsense then wonders why people start voting for right wing parties.
@@SammyInnit ok, I know thinking isn´t your strong point, but let´s see how this works.

@Letsthinkaboutit-mb7nn Not going to waste my time with someone who thinks kicking off with an insult is going to further any discourse.
What I will say is this; your incessant rabbiting about rule changes has done nothing for the islands off Italy that welcome hundreds daily. Absolutely nothing in what you allude stops a person from taking to a vessel off the coast of Africa and travelling to Europe. This is exactly why people are moving to the right, because rule changes aren't enough. You clearly know this yet feel the need to argue anyway you complete dullard.

Wonderful Mexican pronunciation by Nadja!
Well back to the centre would be helpful. Currently far left governments are useless
There are no far-left governments in Europe though.
No far fucking right deport the caliphate or you will be a minority in your own country
EPP and ECR cooperation would be good. A strong and united Europe for Europeans. More economic and military power, less green and woke stuff. Rafah offensive is inevitable in order to destroy Hamas. If Hamas somehow survives, they will start new wars every couple of years as they did before.
People forget that there is a difference between Identity and Democracy which are prorussian fascists and ECR which is definitely a mildly eurosceptic and nonetheless much more reasonable
I do agree. ID is a part of the Russian/Chinese hybrid warfare inside EU politics while ECR politicians are the typical conservatives we always had in Europe.
Maybe...but I still do not want to be associated with PIS and the sweden democrats, especially with the last one having been found with cocaine in it's toilets inside swedens parlament.

Seriously, can't they handle a 2% Muslim population? An 8 percent muslim population is nothing to worry about. They are really making a lot of fuss over 15% of the population. Just 23% really messes with their heads, lol. Baffling that they get so uppity about a 35% non-native Muslim population in their countries.
This is about as fair of a comparison as framing any change leftward as communism and declaring victory thereafter.

@@perimarc6008 A lot of these parties were openly fascist pretty recently.
@@Letsthinkaboutit-mb7nnThey were. But Europe/the EU is pro-democracy, and therefore, must follow the will of the people, and the people's will is clearly leaning towards anti-immigration. If they feel that they are unrepresented, then they will follow people who do represent their beliefs. It's as much a failure and an indictment of the institutions of the EU as it is an indication for the attractiveness of far-right nationalism. Simply put, if the EU had addressed these issues, it wouldn't need to worry about the rise of parties like AfD. It was only about a decade ago where parties like the AfD, and their beliefs, were seen as too fringe to ever be a threat to the institutions of the EU. Obviously, that judgement was wrong, and their lethargic response to the growth in anti-immigrant beliefs within the wider EU is pretty demonstrable. Sure, they've tried to reduce the asylum seeker intake, and share the burden, but anti-immigrant sentiment within the EU goes beyond just asylum seekers. I think tourism is one of the major examples that goes mostly unacknowledged within the EU as contributing to such sentiment.

@@edgardebruin5539keep crying
Absolutely yes
Before worrying , you need to start having children first . With europe's low fertility rates, it has become apparent that, immigration (legally) is essential for ensuring the continued growth of european economies. Moreover, with economic protectionism on the rise in the us and china , and globalism decreasing in popularity, Europe cannot afford to lose it's biggest companies in many industries (e.g: the car industry) to the US and China, therefore your standards of living will deteriorate.
@@blueboy3990I agree on fertility rate but legal immigration is only a temporary fix. You really have to rely on other countries for your population, if you thought Russian gas was bad enough. Immigration also decreases stability since you need to integrate the new arrivals. Immigration can also easily spiral into chaos if you do not have the proper bureaucracy in place.
