Enjoy all the videos (especially the mods to the 911). Just completed the Smart Top install using your video. I have a 991 Cab and found your instructions not only greatly assisted me with the install but also with the quick tutorial you provided as to your preferred settings (e.g. flashers or not). It only took me about an hour after programming to install the unit...works perfectly. Thank you!!!
Thank you kind internet stranger! Steps to attach to module are slightly different for 992 (have to unplug a plug and add the m4c module in between it and the unit). But, this was very helpful. That carpet tab on the right definitely was a pain!
I found a trick to get the carpet off the clip. Slide your finger under the carpet along the side down inside of it. then you can get your finger behind it in a spot where its loose then you can manipulate the carpet easily and takes 2 sec to get off those side clips, no tools required.
Awesome mod! They way the car SHOULD Have been from the factory. I have a similar 2015 9l1 S convertible. Gonna get this done while we are self quarantining. I’ve got to look into your other mods. Thanks to James at Auto Amateur who gave you a shout out in one of his videos.
My rear windows try to go up two times and goes up on the third try every time. Kinda like a dance. You think it’s due to improper programming? I have it installed on my 991.1.
Great video. Thanks. Great looking car. Mine is in Anthracite Grey (which is a brown shade) but essentially the shame. Love my Porsche. I am guessing you do too. :)
Hey Yolo! Thanks for the uploads on your Cab! Have you ever serviced the top with lubricants? I have a ‘13 Cab and am looking for any kind of guidance on lubricants and how to’s. Found some information on Rennlist, but was curious if you have any experience with service of top? Thanks
Zero. I’m not sure if it’s necessary. Seems like it should be but I have never even thought about it. Mines a garage queen so not much use but I’d learn of a factory recommended process please let me know.
So strange. When I removed the carpet to access the box, there is already something plug into the spot on the left side (when you are facing the rear of the car) so there’s no place to plug the smart top into
@@bobbygfl so there was already an oem plug that is already there on the left side of the box, so I had to take the oem plug out and plug that into the smart top, then plug the smart top harness into the box where the Oem plug was originally there. And then it worked. I love your content. Can you do a video on the ultimate cupholder you bought ? Also have you tried doing a stage 1 tune to your Porsche to increase the horsepower? How about a adding a dash cam using an adaptor from dongar technologies ?
hi seems you live in FL , im at sunny isles beach , can you help me install this one on my 991 gts ? of cuz i will pay for your time and kindess for help ! lmk !
Would this be the same process on my 997? Also, if you want to change a setting I assume you have to pull module out and do it via usb which seems like a bit of a pain.

That's sweet! Do you know if it works on a Targa 991?
Yes it does!

Will this affect the Porsche warranty.
recon forsales I’ve found it depends on the dealer. Some are very picky. Others don’t care

craig moquin yes and correct. When I changed a setting I had to pull the unit. Yes it’s a pain but it shouldn’t happen very often.
Thank you, amazing! Do you think I can get it in Canada for my 997?
René Lord yes for sure. They’ll ship anywhere.
works with 997?
ye, they have a 997 version. same controller, different programming.
Will it work on 991.1 Targa?
yes, I believe it's the exact same programing. cab/targa
Very clever!
Thanks!
