Sorry about your IFE experience, I guess it's just bad luck, but I'm glad you are well compensated. Like you said, if it was a different airline, I don't think you'll get that kind of treatment. Good on you. Have you tried flying with Scoot? I think you should. I tried it with my connecting flight from Singapore to Davao (where I live) and... uhm... I think you should try it! 😁

Great trip report looking at the passengers here some of them are going to the eastern part of the United States SQ22 EWR and SQ26 JFK. Because they know it's better experience than the flag carrier PR126.

I'm from Singapore, I know it sucks for not watching any IFE programs but it just the short flight. For the long flight, it going to be mad without IFE programs

I'm done with SQ. Broken electronics incl seat adjustments a lot of the time, shabby seats, aging planes, overpriced tickets. I will never fly them if I have a UAE airlines option
I’m sorry? Aging planes? It’s quite the literal opposite. The A350 aircraft are very new. They are even retiring old planes and replacing them with new ones like how the A350 replaced the A330.

Why not request to transfer seat?
Hi! The purser actually considered this but unfortunately, all the seats were taken, so transferring wasn't an option.
On this case Poor maintenance is the reason.
