I’ve flown PAl 20 yrs ago, after that I’ve never flew it due to nasty attitude and unprofessionalism of PAL flight attendants and the 4hrs delays every time flying from LA. Pal has never changed even after two decades. Shame!

I’m Filipino and I flew from Manila to Bangkok via Thai Airways. Even though it’s an old 777-200ER, we still had personal IFE screens and decent service, just like other airlines. The absence of personal IFEs and small legroom as well as lack of entertainment is one of the reasons I don’t (and will probably never) fly PAL to other countries. Also, their A321ceos are just like budget airlines tbh. If I remember correctly, PAL’s A321ceos are the backbone of short to medium haul flights from Manila. PAL must step up their game. Wider legroom, personal IFEs, better seats, and magazines bro.

Looking forward to my HAN flight soon! I usually fly with other budget aircraft carriers, and I wanted to go to HAN ulit, but this time booked with VN! Thanks for this in depth video!

Surprised that PAL are now using these types of planes, it is the same type of Airbus plane when I had my recent flight from Haneda (Tokyo) to Manila last week. Before the pandemic they actually had the bigger Airbus planes with two aisles. After the pandemic I have switched to ANA for my Japan flights. I took a codeshared flight last week since PAL is offering at early flight in the afternoon from Haneda. I had even asked the PAL stewardess if they’ve downgraded planes since the pandemic but she couldn’t give me a straight answer.

Pal is 110 times better then any European airline

Pal needs to use these old airplanes on domestic service only not as international flights as you see no leg room old seats no inflight entertainment its like people squashed in can of sardines better off using another airline and pay cheaper ticket until pal updates its fleet of aircraft and offers a better product

Were excited to fly with PAL as it is also my daughters first time to fly with PAL. We oftened fly Cebpac i want my daughters to experienced PAL service . And the food too.

10:52 exactly. Why would I get on a Philippine Airlines flight, when I could just go for the cheaper Cebu Pacific? No inflight entertainment, same airplane model (the Airbus a320 family), might as well get into Cebu Pacific. At least they own the very airplanes they fly, not wet-leasing them. Hence it would mean Cebu Pacific would take more extra care maintaining their fleet. Thus more extra care maintenance means a mechanically safer airplane.

Bonjour aux Paris 😊, spending some time here in the French capital after arriving 🛬 from Manila on Air France since they returned last December 08, the route to Europe takes us to Southern China and on to Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan the Central Asian countries unheard of also known as the Silk Road then crossing the Caspian Sea into Azerbaijan and Georgia and the Black Sea over Northern Turkiye thus avoiding Ukrainian airspace then to Romania in Eastern Europe onwards to France, on my flight I was very well looked after by the cabin crew led by Anne Claire, Carole and Jean Louis as I was seated on Business Class. First off, welcome back to RUclips after a few months! As always, great, comprehensive, and well-detailed review. Hoping that PAL's recent deal with Collins Aerospace Philippines for the narrowbodies will come into fruition as soon as possible, since the airline's A320s and A321ceos badly needs refurbishment, not to mention some of their A330s that still run the LCC-style interior. According to some sources, the Pinnacle is the potential seat model for PAL's narrowbodies, and the best thing about it is that those seats will be made in Collins' plant in Tanauan, Batangas. And while PAL lags big time in their hard product, the cabin crew you've got are just superb.

Hey great review as always! Hopefully PAL could consider retrofitting the cabins on their A321ceos. Their cabin products on their narrowbody fleet does feel inconsistent.

I am looking for this route as well, maybe also Chiang Mai. PAL , Thai , Airasia or Cebu Pacific for non stop flights? I just see that TG uses a A350 on that route!!! That would be great!

Bonjour et Joyeux Noel 🎄 aux Paris 😊, arrived safely in the French capital 2 days ago onboard Air France 🇫🇷, it was a 14hr 50min nonstop flight from Manila flew into Southern China then to Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan the Central Asian countries unheard of the same route taken by the 13th Century Venetian merchant and explorer Marco Polo then crossing the Caspian Sea towards Azerbaijan and Georgia then over the Black Sea above Northern coast of Turkiye then enter Romania onwards to France. It was a pleasant flight with a welcome champagne 🥂 and a 3 course meal🍷🍽️ got a Filet Mignon as main course 😋 Oh La La there's even a Self Service Buffet and Bar at the back of Business Class where I was seated, I was very well looked after by the helpful cabin crew led by Anne Claire and Jean Louis, landed at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport at 6:00am Central European Time. Currently staying in the Paris district of Saint Germain enjoying the sights and sounds of the City of Lights despite the fact it's winter just visited the newly restored Cathedral de Notre heading via the TGV train to Lyon next week, be back in Manila this January along with my friend Alain a Frenchman who wants to visit the Philippines. They used to be the best in economy, at least 20-30 years ago. The economy meals used to be served on huge trays with a porcelain dish for the main course and plenty of good food and drinks. Wow nice to see they have brought back hot towels, aperitif with snacks, cheese and crackers withe the meal that is back to a three course and of course, metal cutlery thats more sustainable than the wooden or plastic ones.

10:56, Airasia's food is good and delicious, it's the best. Last July, I flew Airasia Philippines from Kuala Lumpur to Manila, I pre order a meal, called, Uncle chin's chicken rice, it taste so good and delicious, it's 1 of the best.
