Great news is Bonjour Paris as Air France 🇫🇷 is set this coming December and we bid "Au Revoir" to tedious layovers when travelling to Europe 🇪🇺 when they start their direct nonstop flights between Manila and Paris Charles De Gaulle, it will be easier for us Schengen Visa holders who regularly travel to Europe, our Filipinos living in Europe and for French and European visitors and business people coming to the Philippines. I can't wait to be greeted again with "Bonjour et Bienvenue á Bord" by the cabin crew, it's been more than 20 years the last time Air France flew to the Philippines, when they land in Manila in December as planned a big "Content de te revoir aux Philippines" or Welcome Back to the Philippines in French.
Do you think Philippine Airlines can regain its former glory? What changes or improvements do you think are needed for PAL to compete with other leading airlines in the region? Share your thoughts below! ✈
You should be able to restore its former glory and if they want to match up with the premium competitors from Taiwan South Korea Hong Kong Singapore Thailand and Japan they might as well do wider seat. Restore First Class followed by all class AC plugs. Selected aircraft models get external cameras. The easy comparison for the PR which is spelled out in 🇭🇰🇹🇼 菲律賓航空 is CX🇭🇰 國泰航空 A359 A35K B77W followed by TG🇹🇭 A359 B77W. If you want a better service on Bangkok to Manila you might as well go Thai Airways
@Biyajimenez They can restore it if : The privatization of NAIA is worth it or once the Bulacan Airport commmences operations or Lucio Tan steps down as PAL's majority owner and sells it to investors who is willing to improve PAL's service. It won't be a surprise if the Government of the Philippines would take over PR operations since its glory days were during the Philippine Government's ownership especially during the time of the incumbent President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s parents : Former President Ferdinand Marcos Sr. and Former First Lady Imelda Romualdez-Marcos (Remember the Skybeds on its 747-200s?). Additionally some of the best airlines in the world are mostly owned by the Government through the sovereign wealth fund. Examples include Emirates, Singapore Airlines, Etihad and, Qatar Airways. Since the Philippines has now a sovereign wealth fund through the Maharlika Investment Fund, the government takeover PAL again. Many people who flew through PAL said that ever since PAL was privatized, the service went downhill.
You may now book on an Air France flight from Manila to Paris Charles De Gaulle as it commences on December 08, the aircraft will be the Airbus A350-900 in a 3 Class configuration Business, Premium Economy and Economy. Make sure you have a Schengen Visa.
Bonjour, I already booked on Premium Economy of Air France 🇫🇷 for this December's direct nonstop flight to Paris Charles de Gaulle going to be in France for a month visiting my friend in Lyon and going around in different French regions. Bon Voyage.
Hi, I just stumbled upon your Vietnam Airlines flight review before watching this one, and I gotta say, your review was packed even if it's quite shorter compared to other flight review vlogs. Now, I just subscribed to your channel. Anyway, since you only had an economy class ticket, I'm just curious how did you enter the T1 Mabuhay Lounge, since as far as I can remember, only business/comfort class ticket holders and/or Mabuhay Miles members can gain access there. Perhaps, you registered with the myPAL Lounge program? Anyway, checking out the prices, those are too steep if I were a PAL economy class ticket holder and I'd rather go to the food stalls readily available in the airport, or better yet, I'd rather be a business class ticket holder to fully enjoy the lounge experience. As far as your question at the beginning is concerned, I guess PAL can still redeem itself. Sure, there will be new A350-1000s coming in the next few years, but in the meantime, PAL should really focus on cabin consistency. Now that we just heard from the airline that it will refurbish its classic A321s (which is a great news for me, considering that in all my international flights onboard these narrowbodies, it was quite unpleasant given the lack of IFEs and the cramped legroom), it would be much better if the A330s should be next in line, given that, thanks to the same conglomerate behind NNIC, some still sport the LCC-style cabin (3-3-3 in economy and premium economy, 2-2-2 in business class) and, strangely, there are also some that sport a "hybrid" cabin, as the airline calls it: same premium economy and economy cabin but with the newer 1-2-1 business class featured on its A350-900s and fully-refurbished A330s. Same goes with their 777-300ERs, as some have the newer 2-class cabin, some feature the older version of it like the one in this video, and some are former Garuda Indonesia planes that feature a much appropriate 1-2-1 business class. While I am optimistic with what's coming to PAL in the next few years, I can't help but to rate it lower compared to other carriers. Sure, the signature TLC of the cabin crew is top notch and the newer planes are great, but everything else probably aren't. Not to mention, it faces stiff competition with other local carriers, especially Cebu Pacific which consistently gains new aircraft after another, so PAL needs to catch up URGENTLY. Nice review, by the way! 😊
The primary issue with PAL is their fleet. They lack sufficient aircraft, and the quality of in-flight amenities is inconsistent. Despite paying a premium, passengers often face a hit-or-miss experience when it comes to in-flight entertainment and seating comfort.
Wow, Philippine airlines send the Boeing 777-300ER and sometimes even the Airbus A350-900 to Bangkok, your lucky, hope you enjoy your flight to Bangkok. Question, All Philippine airlines, Boeing 777-300ER is ex Garuda Indonesia?
4:52, You mean 2025? 6:43, The in flight entertainment TV and remote is similar and identical to Turkish and Emirates, Boeing 777-300ER and the in flight entertainment TV needs a refurbish.

@@EpicThe112 For the cheaper option add premium economy.
Yes it can!
joining an alliance ASAP will definitely make them more attractive. I'm sure thats a consideration for most frequent flyers

what happened around 14:58? seems like a bird strike.

Completely agree. Too bad they sold their old A350s, and now it’s taking forever to get the new ones!
Yes you are correct outdated screen oh my goodness I was just on Philippine airlines the screens are horrible but the flight attendants are awesome
Yup, the screens definitely need an update. 😬 But the PAL flight attendants are amazing, as always!
Iam transit 8 hours & i think i need lounge to take rest . But i'm passanger economy. Can i to mabuhay lounge & pay at lounge ?
Yes, you can! As long as you’re flying with Philippine Airlines, accessing the Mabuhay Lounge shouldn’t be a problem.
Are there any eligibility requirements to enter the Lounge?
Nvm! You said economy is allowed for a fee, do you happen to know how much?
@@brittneyquach9879 Website says $45
80 US dollars
@@brittneyquach9879 $45 not $80. It's on PAL's website.
Hi, as long as you’re flying with PAL, you can access the lounge via their MyPAL lounge program for USD 45. :)
Superb video production and commentary - please keep up the good work kind sir.
Thank you so much for the kind words! I really appreciate the support and encouragement. Stay tuned for more videos in the coming months ✈️ -Earl
Title for the BGM played from 0:30 to 9:17, please? Thank you!
They used to deploy the A350 for PR730 at least once a week, but unfortunately, that's no longer the case.
I see because they send the Airbus A350-900 to North America flight like Toronto and JFK.
No. Only two 777 300 are ex Garuda the rest are PAL.
I see.
4:52, You mean 2025? 6:43, The in flight entertainment TV and remote is similar and identical to Turkish and Emirates, Boeing 777-300ER and the in flight entertainment TV needs a refurbish.
Actually, they quietly launched the pay lounge access in mid-December last year. There's not much information available about it online.
I see, okay.
I assume your seat is 49A?
yes! Mentioned it around 05:49 😊
14:03, Really that cheap? No way, wow. But Cebu Pacific and Airasia Philippines is cheaper.
What is your seat number ?
49A :)
early!
Yay! Thank you 😁
🎉
Thank you! Cheers!
pal needs to clean their aircrafts more often tho...so unprofessional smh
