If this monumental event is ever on the horizon, the sweat of anticipation shall be running down my neck into my cheap collar!
Not the best sim game, but I wore my arms clean off racing this car under full sim settings on FM7 last night with 12 laps of the full 24hr course. Don't have the car on AC. 6:46.738 on the 24hr full track. Curiously, it's one of the cars on FM7 that actually has a fully independent front supsension.
The steering wheel movement in R3E always seems the most realistic to me. You can see the kickback in a way that's mostly missing from AC, for instance.
V12s sound good, but I personally like the V10s and V8s, but itd be cool if teams were allowed to choose engine layout and displacement like they did in the 90s
It would interesting to see how much faster the early 90s Joest version of the 962C from Raceroom is compared to the old 80s Porsche version from Assetto Corsa.
I think FIA has the 2021 design down to 3 different concepts right now, and then from there I assume it would be refined even further. I get this info from @formulahypersoftnews on Instagram

It's easy. Both are top notch. But are separated. If you want top of heaven music, you listen to V12. If you want top hell music, you listen to that mad V10

It's there as a reference of what could be the fastest realistic time on the nordschleife, the car was designed by Adrian Newey and all the technology that it uses is technology we already have, they could build it, but nobody has the balls to drive it

How the heck can you drive this good and this fast while talking? If I attempted to talk, I'd be instantly out on the barriers! And I don't have to drive a car this fast and precise! Also, you somewhat reminded me of a 15 year old video with Hans Stück informing us about the Nürburgring while driving an M3 GTR down the 24h course! Kudos! 👍
@Jimmy Broadbent please do the Formula GT car in gran turismo 4, 5 and 6. It's supposed to be a 3.5 litre V12 Formula 1 car with all the aero and electronic aids allowed according to what Polyphony Digital imagined it would be like.

Hi Jimmy I‘m new to simracing. I play alot of Forza Horizon and Forza Motorsports with my G920. I always wanted to buy AC because they said it is the most realistic simracing game out there. Because they have a weekend sale, I took the oportunity and bought it. Now I have some questions. Where do you download all the mods and which are the best in your opinion. Or which one are essential to get? I have the problem of having a lot of understeer. Drifting is no problem but driving a Mx5 or a Ford Mustang or the GT86 I always had understeer as hell. I had to clutchkick the hell out of it to get it drifting. And if I try to make a hotlap it‘s literally inpossible because of the understeer. Any solutions? Or how about a total beginners tutorial for everyone new to Simracing? And is the g920 good for the beginning of simracing or should I change as soon as possible?
If you are on Xbox then you can't download mods unfortunately but it's a great game anyway. I don't do much drifting so can't really help you with that apart from it's meant to be really good for it.
Also forza is a great game *GREAT but it is not a sim so you might need some adjusting to how sims handle. I started out with forza aswell and it did teach me race craft with all the lunatics online.
I love the sense of speed you get, even from a video on a single monitor :) Think I'll get this pack, it looks and sounds great. I'm doubting about getting a new wheel, or VR set. Have a Logitech G29 right now, and am in doubt of what first to get :) Any suggestions? thanks in advance.
does raceroom have tire carcass flex modelling? I love how these old cars feel in rFactor2 compared to most other sims. Raceroom does feel very wooden most of the time.

Suspensions and floors would be destroyed that's for sure.
Track would need to be completely reworked. Nurburgring is meant to test performance durability. The latter is not the strongest point of F1.
