So as a fellow WA state resident, if I buy a Harley at Laidlaw's, I would pay CA sales tax and also WA state sales tax when I register it in WA? 😳 Double taxed? If so, no way I would do that. Way cheaper to pay for a commercial shipper and have it shipped.

@@SuggonDeizNutz Hey there. No, you'd either pay sales tax in California or Washington. Not both. Depends on whether you ride the bike off the lot or have it commercially shipped to Washington State. Ride safe.

Watching these guys go into hock for half the price of my house made my heart sink. That's something I could never do just to ride a motorcycle. Not when FB marketplace is chocked full of great, affordable bikes. Being debt free is a feeling like no other. Riding a bike down the highway that's bought and paid for makes you feel like you're riding on eagles wings.

Suckers .. I did it once .. I wouldn't recommend it, dumped my newer bike and went back to a Evo .. I did some work on it, a guy with a brand new bike with all the Kool new factory hop ups is quite upset because he can't get away from my carburetor evo .. and I still kept it where I can ride cross country and not have to spend days in a hotel waiting on parts

Hey Ryan , did you know Harley went E.S.G., which is cooperate fascism from the W.E.F. I'm very sad to see the CEO (Zeitz) and the board have taken our beloved American brand into Darth Vader's empire kingdom. I was planning on buying a Harley as my next ride, love the new platforms, (M8 114, 1250 liquid cooled) but no more. I hope the dealership owners band together and sue Zeitz for choices the work against there ability to sell bikes.

What about California emissions? Isn’t it more stringent than other states?
I bought my first bike in LA in 1986 and it had all the smog gear, plus smaller profile cam than regular models.
Now that I no longer live in Cali- I can’t see wanting to import a new bike from California. Have things changed?

As far as I know, on the current offerings, a CA bike just has a charcoal canister.

These guys are going to make 86 months worth of payments for five minutes of being a RUclips Star ✨. Evolution powered motorcycles are great, twin cam and milwaukee-eight powered motorcycles are sheer garbage. Frankly nowadays it is only the Harley Fanboys with a severe case of obsession that keep the company afloat anybody else with two bits of common-sense steer clear of the products that they make today. Matt Laidlaw is a righteous guy! I’ve bought a bike from him in the past and he is an extremely honest broker! Hands down best buying experience I’ve had out of three Harley-Davidson bikes.

Laidlaws is the BEST HD Dealer in CALI, Matt is the BEST!
That T-Shirt cost the dealership a few pennies less than $3.00. Made in Asia. I would get a T-Shirt at many dealers around the USA each week. I flew weekly for 28 years to cities in the USA and Canada while working at Nortel. I think the average price was around $35 per shirt on average. I got a free meal and a shirt when purchasing my new Fatboy in Little Rock (1999). The shirt is well faded. I sold the bike to drug dealers a couple of years after I purchased it. The bike was junk. Came apart. And then I did a stupid thing. I purchased another HD. A 2003 Road King. I baby my vehicles. The Road King began breaking down. Starter, leaks, brakes. It was too much to deal with. Glad Laidlaw is one of the few good guys. Many dealers have gone out of business in north Texas. At 67 years of age I want quality and I have it. Triumph bikes fill my garage now.

When (if) HD gets rid of Zeitz, Matt needs to be HD CEO. Very knowledgeable about the brand/customers wants/needs. They might learn a thing or two from Matt.

That certainly wasn't my experience at the Harley Dealership. They were unreasonable & I bought an Indian.
Matt does so much for brand and the riders community. Honest guys down there at Laidlaw HD. I highly recommend it to anyone.

I’ve been riding my 13 Heritage I bought new. I’m now starting to get all kinds of compliments on how good it looks for its age.
And when I go to pick up oil filters and I’m ask what am I riding, I say fast food pays $20 bucks an hour and my last salesman told me my bike would last forever! Lol

Take your family on a vacation to Laidlaw Harley Davidson and invite lurch and his wife along. Stop by laidlaws Harley sign papers on your new bikes in person than call the “snowman “ Russell Roberts to haul them back to Yakima . Because he is a commercial shipper. Ps you can probably give him some airtime and bling for his bike in exchange for shipping costs.

So problem is 70% of new bikes are financed and most end up repossessed. My 14 Streetglide and 05 Deuce are PAID FOR Thank God . They will see me out .😎

Did you see the Sportsters in there? The woke German who runs Harley now discontinued the entry level Harley. The replacement for that is about twice the $. Harley chicks aint gonna go for that huge price hike as Harley doesnt want to sell anything but high end. Harley customers are now migrating to Indian as a result.
If you ain’t paying cash you’re not buying the bike - you’re renting it from the bank - not that there’s anything wrong with that - if that’s your thing - both of the new ‘owners’ had a bit of the “damn that’s a lot per month” look - 🤘🏻☮️

Makes no sense, why pay the huge California tax’s supporting a radical California regime? Then you get screwed on your trade in “which you should never do” Then if you decide to ship, you end up paying TWO shipping charges, one from the dealer and one you impose on yourself! Not to mention your not establishing a relationship with your local dealer for service on your new bike… NONE of this makes any sense, except for Matt and the content creator!
