a thing I've noticed with a few of tvs especially red is that the music is kind of loud compared to her voice. Idk if it's my phone but still it disappoints me which is why I still listen to the og red :/
the problem of many TV's is that the emotion captivated at the stolen versions is now gone for many reasons: it happened first in Speak Now TV, when songs like The Story Of Us or Haunted lost emotion or drama on her voice and I didn't like that. also we lost **THAT** breath in Last Kiss, so that proves my point: 1- she kinda doesn't feel proud of SN and that's why the era was hella short. 2- the things she felt then are not present now, so that's why the emotions on it are gone too. and this is my biggest fear for rep TV seems like she's no longer angry with Kimye or Calvin Harris (well, she forgot that he existed 😂), so now in LWYMMD TV she's trying to sound badass but in the chorus she doesn't sound as good as the release version. also she broke up with Joe, but at least in Delicate TV she sounded kinda similar (or kinda better). idk what to think
I guess it more of a effect in this trailer or something Even if it actually sounds different, i am still standing with Taylor's version , cry against the wall..😮💨
I'm wondering if this is being made available so that she can test the waters and see what fans think BEFORE she releases it. At least I hope. Or that they've adjusted it specific for the show? Hopefully one of them. Lol
It seems like she’s found a new comfort area within her voice along with (possibly) accessing further vocal coaching and just age. I e noticed it in quite a few versions and I just very recently started to listen to her full albums.
I actually love it! Sounds like it has more soul. Maybe it’s because I’m older. I love anything she does! I’d never criticize this goddess on anything! Can’t wait for Reputation TV!
And I’ve been a fan since Debut, so it’s not that I’m a moron. My daughter is Taylor’s age & remembers the moment we heard “Tim McGraw” in the car on the radio. We are OG’s &proud of it! Truly sorry, so many are critical.
I personally this this AI bc I don’t think this sounds like her when singing it, but this is just me and also based off live videos. And in those videos you can tell it’s not deurrr 😭
I noticed her vowel sounds on Midnights. A Penslyvanian accenct on how she sings. On Midnights I really liked it and thought it actually added to them. Speak Now TV has it too, which again I really liked but on thiiiiiissssssss, mama i dont know......Duooooooo.
Frrr It does not sound as good in MY OPINION, but everyone on tiktok is like “OMG ITS AMAZING, PERFECT, BEAUTIFUL, SLAY QUEEN”. I don’t think it sounds bad but I do prefer the original as of rn.
Right? I saw everyone going nuts for it, which I understand, but just from the trailer snippet it didn't seem to hit as hard for me. I don't know why. Maybe production's a little bit different because, maybe, it's a different producer? Like, she didnt brought Max Martin back and Jack's producing it this time (that's what I'm supposing)? I don't know.
in my opinion its still unfinished because when you think about it, its only a snippet in trailer and most of the time they put unfinished stuff in it Plus, she and her team have eras tour movie + 1989 TV coming on october which is less than 2 months so maybe they're focusing on the quality of 1989 TV and the movie first then start to continue producing and improving some uncanny sounds on Rep TV.
Can we get over ourselves and realize if we don't like the re-recordings we still have the originals if we need that original tone/emotion/whatever we feel is lacking? Like? It's going to be impossible to get a 100% identical duplication. Just be proud she's doing this for herself and be grateful for the extra vault tracks.
wild guess this isn't her finished version it's just the demo she's in the early stages of rerecording the album and it was stripped from a clip that already has other audio and it's likely just a filtering issue for the trailer
you are very right! Its like it still in the production but the studio want to upload it anyway , ignoring the quality of it. am pretty sure shes gonna fix it
I always knew Reputation Taylor's Version will not be as good as the stolen. It requires a lot of processing first of all, which is usually lacking in Taylor's Versions. I'm certain This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things will not be up to the mark, which is one of my favourite reputation songs ): I'm scared for Dress, So It Goes and I Did Something Bad as well. All of these require complex processing and a particular tone, that's hard to be matched as the first time they were sung.
Really? This is what we're complaining about now? Vowel sounds? People really do try to always find something to complain/criticize about when it comes to Taylor Swift.
@Madeleine-i2f Oh please! Miss me with this mess. How is criticizing vowel sounds will make Taylor better? Are y'all an expert in English grammar now. Are y'all going around correcting everyone from all parts of the world vowel sound? Please!!
@@Rebel-ct2pq So we just have no right to say “ hey this sounds weird” and just have to listen to it bc Taylor made it and owns it? Yeah no, I’ll just listen to the OGs then
She used to chew on her vowels a lot, seemed like she had it for the most part corrected apparently she didn't durrrr a very thorough job 😅 still love her and her crazy vowels though 😄💖
Vocal vowels growing up aside. She did this for the first pre chorus in I Know Places, but then goes back to the original for the rest. It mayyyy be a creative choice to make a small difference in the song as they mentioned has to be present. The TVs have to have some changes for the original. We shall see see SOOOON
I noticed that too and was VERY taken aback because it was so weird, but then i re-listened to it a couple times and I actually like the way she says it. I don't know how to describe it, but it sounds kinda cool...slinkier? maybe? Anyways, it was off-putting at first but I like it now.
so I think the problem is she's emphasising certain pronunciations that came out accidentally while recording the og tracks. When lwymmd came out initially, I remember thinking her accent in the speak-singing sounds different, almost British (this was before I knew about the ginger bread man, but it was most obvious in "I'll be the actress starring in YO bad dreams"). But paying extra attention while re-recording it has led to it being exaggerated and feeling odd. I think this is also why Fearless tv felt most authentic though different, because I don't think she was forcing an accent or chopping together words as much.
Also, don’t forget she forayed heavily into the folk genre with two of her most recent albums. Vowels in indie music tend to be more reflective and shimmery, if that makes sense. They aren’t straightforward like they are in pop. I think she just got used to the shift and enjoys it. I don’t hear “der” though, still sounds like “do”.
I still have to OG CD’s I never touched the one I got in my pre order but I use the ones in the two magazines. I’ll get the re-records because I want to support her. But she really should be listening to her old ones to get them to be as accurate or BETTER than the originals. I love Reputation I hope it’s not bad. Her voice sounds stronger on tour so I’d be surprised if we got a weaker Reputation TV.
ZACKKKK I've been trying to say this!!!! It's also noticable on Enchanted TV. She's elongating the vowels like a choir teacher would tell you to do to make your diction clearer. Which is unnecessary bc we KNOWWW the words (except if this was a movie but yeah)
In the original the note went down, now it's straight, you know? In the original she kinda talked, here she straight up sings the phrase. I hate it :'(
Just like Speak Now TV, there are some parts of Rep TV that are gonna sound different, like LWYMMD TV, and imo, this change sounds fine. It will take a bit of getting used to, yes, but it doesn’t really sound worse. Again, this is all in my opinion though.
I don’t wanna be that person that says “your too privileged” and like yes it is different but like at least we are getting a Taylor’s version of reputation Like I don’t wanna be mean or come off as the person who picks at evrybody else but like at least we’re getting a Taylor’s version of this masterpiece.
Her vowels have definitely changed. After the 1975 show when she came out and said “can I sing” I started noticing it a lot more. Spending so long in England has had a clear affect of her pronunciation.
I think she’s changed the vowels slightly to accommodate for lower pitch and a more pleasing pitch in her voice. I personally have really liked her vowel changes
I felt like she recorded a version that goes with the series narrative. In the video is perfect to the character action at that moment. Maybe is not the final version (TV). Maybeeee
That's an inflection used by many black artists especially in rap. Check out the line in Martha and the Vandella's Heatwave: "Don't know what to DOO my head's in a daze." Taylor also uses it in Shake It Off by silenting the "T".
I didn't heart the problem at first but I think is that the do sounds like due... Honestly is not a huge difference or maybe ours ears are not sensitive enough to hear the issue

2- the things she felt then are not present now, so that's why the emotions on it are gone too. and this is my biggest fear for rep TV
seems like she's no longer angry with Kimye or Calvin Harris (well, she forgot that he existed 😂), so now in LWYMMD TV she's trying to sound badass but in the chorus she doesn't sound as good as the release version. also she broke up with Joe, but at least in Delicate TV she sounded kinda similar (or kinda better). idk what to think
I hear "do." She is almost a decade older right? Zack it does not sound like it has a R in to.
i’m LIVING for the glass breaking and sirens in the background tho
That’s because it was in a TV show trailer, not the actual song
I guess it more of a effect in this trailer or something
Even if it actually sounds different, i am still standing with Taylor's version , cry against the wall..😮💨
Truly sorry, so many are critical.
her playing them at eras sound so good like when she played new year’s day at my show it sounded very similar to the og verison
It sounds less angry idk how to explain it
Her vowels also may be different from living with Joe Alwyn and being around him for six years. You can pick up your partner’s pronunciation’s.
The “We” in “We Are Never Getting Back Together” killed me 😅
Not the AI sound 😭😭
Immediately caught the “douer”-sounding “do”… weird 😅
i know places (Taylor’s version) makes me wanna cry it’s like I-i-i I-i-IE
This is the type of shit that happens when you date international for too long.
I personally this this AI bc I don’t think this sounds like her when singing it, but this is just me and also based off live videos. And in those videos you can tell it’s not deurrr 😭
It's real, the snippet is from Wilderness
@@LuLu98JJack produced the original LWYMMD, so chances are he produced Taylor’s Version as well.
Tbh I liked how the song sounds in general, but the “Look what you made me do” sounds so weird 😭😭😭😭 idk
@taylorevanoff6014 oooh, so nevermind what I said! I really thought Max had produced it for some reason
in my opinion its still unfinished because when you think about it, its only a snippet in trailer and most of the time they put unfinished stuff in it Plus, she and her team have eras tour movie + 1989 TV coming on october which is less than 2 months so maybe they're focusing on the quality of 1989 TV and the movie first then start to continue producing and improving some uncanny sounds on Rep TV.
it’s called a tamber it changes with age but I think the vowel thing is on purpose
I can’t unhear the “ made meh döeh 😚” 😭
I think it makes sense. She's not mad anymore. She's glad. She got her revenge. She's saying it with a smirk.
it’s just a different style of singing. people call it “cursive.” sounds a bit edgier so it fits but i do prefer the original
same with enchanted i noticed ‘please doent be in love with someone else’ but i didn’t know if anybody else noticed
There’s no Rrr in it! It sounds like… look what you made me dew! Perfect! Love it! She can do no wrong!
I feel like the old one sounded way better. So many of her rerecorded songs sound just like AI to me.
wild guess this isn't her finished version it's just the demo she's in the early stages of rerecording the album and it was stripped from a clip that already has other audio and it's likely just a filtering issue for the trailer
you are very right! Its like it still in the production but the studio want to upload it anyway , ignoring the quality of it. am pretty sure shes gonna fix it
people denying that it sounds different really pisses me off
I think it sounds like the version she did on the Rep tour and I don’t hate it! I refuse to hate it cause I’m ready for it 😂🖤🫶🏼🖤
why is she going down like that 😭😭😭
IM SORRY ARE WE NOT GONNA TALK ABOUT THE EXPLOSION DOUBDS THE BREAKING GLASS AND THE CAR SKIDDING
I always knew Reputation Taylor's Version will not be as good as the stolen. It requires a lot of processing first of all, which is usually lacking in Taylor's Versions. I'm certain This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things will not be up to the mark, which is one of my favourite reputation songs ):
I'm scared for Dress, So It Goes and I Did Something Bad as well. All of these require complex processing and a particular tone, that's hard to be matched as the first time they were sung.
shes not yelling!!!!!
The "do" sounds so weird!! It sounds like it's edited weirdly
Really? This is what we're complaining about now? Vowel sounds? People really do try to always find something to complain/criticize about when it comes to Taylor Swift.
People are aloud their opinions
@@Luke-lq9rn *Allowed
Swifties should be allowed to criticize Taylor in order to make her better. It’s not to be mean like her haters
Yeah no, I’ll just listen to the OGs then
She actually singing the “do” instead of it being more spoken
I don't know how to describe it, but it sounds kinda cool...slinkier? maybe? Anyways, it was off-putting at first but I like it now.
i don't think the difference is in the vowel, it's the "D" that's different, the og she says it like "djo" and now it's a more dry d sound
She lived in London for six years…
It's the same thing with the original version if you listen closely she just sung it deeper. Also this isn't the final version so it might change
I hear it in the do’s I notice her voice changing when first listening to red (Taylor’s version)
I love it thoughhh, it sounds so much sassier with the „doooe“
where did u find this snippet?
so I think the problem is she's emphasising certain pronunciations that came out accidentally while recording the og tracks.
Nooo this reminds me of the “weehee“ in wanegbt 😭😭
Yeah it does sound a bit weird...
I think it kinda sounds like the way she sings it on tour🤔
Wait she released it????
I don’t concern myself with the new versions, only the vault songs……and this is exactly why.
Tbh now that I relisten it isn’t that bad I don’t hear it as much
I’VE BEEN THINKING THIS BUT NEVER KNEW WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS!!! thank you for giving me verbiage for this 😂
ZACKKKK I've been trying to say this!!!!
I don’t wanna be that person that says “your too privileged” and like yes it is different but like at least we are getting a Taylor’s version of reputation
Like I don’t wanna be mean or come off as the person who picks at evrybody else but like at least we’re getting a Taylor’s version of this masterpiece.
It threw me off but it still sounds decent from the snippet
Her vowels have definitely changed. After the 1975 show when she came out and said “can I sing” I started noticing it a lot more. Spending so long in England has had a clear affect of her pronunciation.
She sounds very robotic in the chorus, like the emotion is just absent 😢
I’m not hearing what you’re hearing for some reason…
I think she’s changed the vowels slightly to accommodate for lower pitch and a more pleasing pitch in her voice. I personally have really liked her vowel changes
She now can do it how she wants -abs the fact is she’s talented enough to replicate that voice if she wants so it’s a stylist choice
This is the first time I am so grateful for not being native speaker 😂 I dont see a difference.
Me neither. I don't hear a difference.😅
I didn't heart the problem at first but I think is that the do sounds like due... Honestly is not a huge difference or maybe ours ears are not sensitive enough to hear the issue
@@cha16musicme Maybe I will hear it on the studio album with better audio
i didnt like it at first, but it is growing on me!!
