The herobook is about 80% the speed of the larkbox pro by synthetic benchmarks(celeron n4020 vs j4125). While the j4125 is 4 cores and has UHD 605(vs 2 cores, 12 EU vs 18 EU iGPU), the scaling is poor.
If you're talking a plain larkbox(j4115), it drops to a UHD 600 and has slightly lower clocks, so would be even closer to the herobook.

I had a Chewi 2 in 1 laptop/tablet thing i got on Amazon for like 250€. That thing was pretty awesome to use as a student machine. for like taking notes. It even came with a fine drawing pen. I liked it lol. the only things i didnt like was the battery life was like 2 hours and the screen would glitch out when using the pen in only some programs.
I dont think Chewi is that crap compared to other things especially for the prices. but still i would not get it on wish lmao

Chuwi is Chinese, that should say everything you need to know about what quality expectations you should have.
a 400 dollar chinese product quality wise and performance wise is more like a 300-200 dollar range product from a actual quality brand at best of times.

Lol, I am just now seeing this. I bought my dad a Chuwi Herobox about a year ago to replace his aging PC. For what he needed, it ticked all of the boxes. He has had no issues after I set everything up for him. He was amazed that something the size of a small paperback book, could outperform his old PC tower(it was originally a Vista system.... soooo)

I think Chuwi was given an unfair task, compare it to any $400 laptop from a local store and I'm sure it does fine.
When looking for a gaming device for $400 why pick the laptop, wasn't there any other desktops after your original choice was out of stock ?

I owned a laptop when Half Life 2 was released and it's where I played it. Geforce 2 MX chip, 1024x768 resolution. Ran about 30-40 FPS steady. So really Dawid, in the 17 years since that happened clearly there has been some progress, as you paid $400 for this device and I paid $1400 for mine back in 2004. I mean, the value per dollar is on clear display here.

I had ( yes HAD ) 2 little laptops like this one. Got them in Special at 200$ each for me and my wife. They were branded iSmart ( CanadaComputer home brand ) and they did not last. My wifes keyboard gave up after 2 weeks , got it exchanged and it gave up around a year after. Her screen was starting to flicker randomly also. I gave her mine ( I barely used it , was still new ) and the keyboard gave up after a couple of months. The problem is that when the keyboard dies , there no way to power on the laptop ( the power button dies ). Only a couple of keys died at first but many more died over time until the Power button gave up.

Pretty much identical to the internals of most of today's 200-400$ Chromebooks....including the same CPU and SoC RAM. Was a tech for a school-board for 4 years and opened thousands of them, mostly Acer, ASUS and Lenovo. Even the case reminded me of the bottom of an old Samsung 303 Chromebook lol. The external m.2 door is a nice touch though!
