One of the thing that I dream with Blender is the mesh. More organic mesh when I modeling like the flexibility of the Softimage mesh. Its important question for creating organic creatures.
Hi guys ! I stayed with a question: Doesn't the logings from the Blender UI slow down the process ? I mean, I know thats it must be "yelding" (using generators) the messages. But, doesn't this actually cause any performance impact?
Hello, I have set a breakpoint() in my script but in the console ... I can't l to see the file location where I breaked .. also could use some help importing a json 3d file into blender Edit: also I would like to use an external python console to interface with blender. Edit: how did you copy paste the Python code for a blender action? Also how do I install packages to the python env that ships with blender.
I'm late to the party... but I agree. Now, BGE was never going to be a top of the line game engine, but having an integrated environment was amazing for rapid prototyping... or, especially, the nearly infinite amount of interactive applications one could make that arent games but are novel interactive uses for blender.

Python is one of the most powerful features in Blender. Wish I had time to learn more! Really cool talk! Sybren is really nice :)
I almost feel like forcing myself to learn Blender exclusively through python. :D
@@InternetGeezer I am learning Python exclusively through Blender 😀
My HERO!! thankyou for making this

Thank you for the video! Amazing explanation
Here is something that I really want to learn more about! =D
We have a more extensive Scripting for Artists tutorial series on Blender Cloud, check out cloud.blender.org/p/scripting-for-artists
Please ! Can you make a series about scripting ? you explain it in very interesting an understandable way !
Thanks! Actually, I already have! You can find the series at cloud.blender.org/p/scripting-for-artists/.

What! No nice shirts Sybren?
Compensating for my slick Agent 47 outfit last year ;-)
Can Python reduce rendering time?
Nope.....
thank you for sharing
hey, some one can say to me why isn't possible to use wget on python script in blender?
Wget is a CLI utility. You can `import requests` and use that to do HTTP requests & download files.
@ thank man!
What program are using for the presentation here? Those transitions looks very cool!
It's reveal.js, it runs in a webbrowser
And I wish they could have kept bge...
But they just got rid of it...
It's a big minus for Python and its developers...

Do we still have metaballs? (didn't use Blender for a while now)
We do!
Artist is code word for people that hate maths. 😜
sounds a lot like John Malkovich...
you days mad mod
C and C++ would of been a better choice since their super fast compared to python.
Incredibly boring. And this guy even gets paid for it?
