The only way it’s gonna change is if people stop buying the products or if the nhl license becomes non exclusive & I feel both are a pipe dream unfortunately. It sucks. I do miss the excitement but there is absolutely no way to justify it for myself anymore.
Not a fan of this set but I like that they made the Bedard base card not an SP so the kids have an easier chase. At a certain age, they’re not chasing specific inserts, they just want cards of their favourite player. I’ve always felt UD should make a true set for young/budget collectors that have 18 cards per team (two pages per team) & insert sets numbered in multiples of 9 to make them page friendly. That way you get cards of nearly all active players in one set & kids can have fun building a team’s roster. Sell an optional themed binder for the set. Seems so simple.
I wish i liked MVP. Just not a fan of the card style. But you definitely can't beat the a price. Wonder how much 24-25 series 1 is gonna be Bedard rookie free.
i got 5 box of 2022-2023 mvp at 23$ each 2 month ago at wally , pretty good stuff for what i paid almost a complete set , lot of ice battle variant , 8 gold card signature , and couple more stuff
As a Flyers fan, its nice to finally hear someone talk about Gauthiers character. Its easier than ppl think it is to play here. Play with heart and we love you for life. That simple. He was real disrespectful to Keith Jones and Brierre, 2 class acts

Sorry but I don't care if it's labelled an "entry level" product. There's a lot better ways to spend $80. Even within the hobby, how many future watch autos could you buy with $80? Just trying to squeeze money from kids.
At least a product like this exists for entry level because even series 1/2 is going to start being out of reach for average kids
It’s hardly in reach of adults. I haven’t been able to justify buying hobby boxes since 2020

Is it just me or does the grey stripe at the top of card make it look miss cut?

Their card style was great up to 02-03. After that, it took a turn for the worse.

I got 8 silver scripts in my box so I was confused because it is 1:5 packs so you should only get 4. Either way it is a decent box.
MVP is fine for what it is. It's very much an entry level to onboard people into the hobby.
