“Peter Pan & Wendy” introduces Wendy Darling, a young girl afraid to leave her childhood home behind, who meets Peter Pan, a boy who refuses to grow up. Alongside her brothers and a tiny fairy, Tinker Bell, she travels with Peter to the magical world of Neverland. There, she encounters an evil pirate captain, Captain Hook, and embarks on a thrilling and dangerous adventure that will change her life forever. The film stars Jude Law (“Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore”), Alexander Molony (“The Reluctant Landlord”), Ever Anderson (“Resident Evil: The Final Chapter”), Yara Shahidi (“Grown-ish”), Alyssa Wapanatâhk, Joshua Pickering (“A Discovery of Witches”), Jacobi Jupe, Molly Parker (“House of Cards”), Alan Tudyk (“Rogue One: A Star Wars Story”), and Jim Gaffigan (“The Jim Gaffigan Show”). “Peter Pan and Wendy” is directed by David Lowery from a screenplay by David Lowery & Toby Halbrooks (“The Green Knight”) based on the novel by J. M. Barrie and the animated film “Peter Pan.” The producer is Jim Whitaker (“Pete’s Dragon”), with Adam Borba (“A Wrinkle in Time”), Thomas M. Hammel (“Thor: Ragnarok”), and Toby Halbrooks serving as executive producers.

@@choppydell I don't think that he has trouble understanding what a rendition is, we might have noticed the animated version, the sequel "Hook", Peter Pan (2003) and Pan (2015), all of which based on the book which was adapted as play during Barrie's lifetime and which is still performed to this day.
I think his point is that this looks like post modern d0gsh!t and Disney seems to be utterly devoid of creative talent, chasing ever decreasing returns by making inferior live action knock-offs of their classic animated back catalogue.
@sigurdholbarki8268 Maybe you've all just aged out of the tales. It's not for you. It's for kids. That's why there has been so many different "renditions". It's a generational thing. 2010s tried a prequel Edgelord Peter Pan with nirvana trackss. 90s had a Sequel to Pan. 2020s going with a live action retelling of their animated classic. Let them Cook. 😆

My favorite part was when Wendy Danvers turned to Dom Torreto and exclaimed “I live my life a 1/4 mile at a time!”. It gave my chills that day. So stunning! So brave!

Here I'm sorry but Peter Pan 2003 was so good that this movie is just bad and I'm sorry. Don't get me wrong the editing in this movie is so much better but the casting is terrible and in 2003 the soundtrack the plot line the cast and most of all Jason Isaacs is in it!

I tell you 3 points about Hollywood, Netflix and Disney:
A. Man has to be incompetent according to them even though men created the whole civilization with their hard work and labor.
B. Women are automatically better than Man and Man should be ashamed of being man .
C. Gender/ Racial swapped character to downplay man .
Now about the movie :
1. Its written by a far left politically motivated writer that utterly hates man and every aspect of this movie is like a disrespect towards men.
2. Peter Pan is a nobody and a side character in his own movie and they made sure Wendy is all round girl boss competent but most of the male characters are worthless nobody.
3. There was group of kids called lost boys .. i say it again lost boys ... And they gender swapped them all and Wendy openly says in a misandry way that boys don't matter.
4. They racial swapped the Tinkerbell to tick those sjw point. This was sad to see as people of color have a huge culture of their own and they don't need swapped in others culture story.
If you are a man you should avoid Disney as they are disrespectful towards our gender.
If you're a mother you should avoid Disney since they hate your boys.
If you woman you should avoid Disney as they want your man to be weak .
I love the part when Wendy says: "Peter I am your Father" and when peter asks "How can a woman be my father" to then pontificate:" I guess it does not really matter", Had me choke on my coke!
I love the part where the producer talks to the director about The Message; "Movie? What movie?"

The girl who plays Wendy and most of the other kids do a fairly good job, but I swear there are statues with a wider range of expression than the kid playing Peter.
I watched this a few days ago, it was so dull. The only good part was Jude Law. Neverland looked so uninspired, just a green/grey rock, just like the movie. I went right to re-watching the 2003 movie on blu-ray, that one can't be beat. And certainly not because of childhood nostalgia (I was 18 when that one came out), it's just the best adaptation, period.

Just watched this and not so happy with the changes. let’s just make tiana, mulan white and black snow white like seriously, im not racist but i’d like to feel what i felt when i was a child when i watched the cartoons for the first time. also, tired of them making a backstory for all the villians. movie was good but it was okay, could’ve been better imo. also, there’s not the scene with mr hook and crocodile that much, like it was so funny in the cartoon to see mr smeeeee go down. this movie was very serious and emotional. wish they made it comedic too.
