  • Why The INFJ Can't Live A Normal Life. If you ever wonder why INFJs struggle with having the kind of life ordinary people have, there are still plenty of things you don’t know about them. So, why do these one-in-a-million creatures live a complex life?
Having unique ideologies, strict standards, and complex thought processes, INFJs would surely have difficulty living the kind of life most people have. Thus, they can maximize their time and make the best out of their temporary existence in this world. But as an INFJ, have you ever wished to have an ordinary life? Did you ever try to be normal?

Do these channels ever cover the INFP? It seems like many other personality types are discussed. After 3 years of allowing these videos in my feed I NEVER see anything on - INFP. I suppose the infp is left to be an Enigma and ignored, unlooked at mystery. I mean, is it for some reason the natural inclination to talk about everyone else excluding the INFP??

@@jenniferh.7219 Don't be disheartened. At least you know yourself. I don't know what my personality type is. Of late, I even believe that I am an Aspie after watching videos of women and autism. I did an online Myers Briggs test and apparently I am an INFJ. But I don't know, maybe a struggle with low self esteem has impaired some of the beneficial traits describing the INFJ type. I am afraid to venture into doing anything that might cause me to stand out as a succes in society because after some trauma in my life experience, people hate on you if you just begin to twinkle for a moment like a star in this world. Don't worry INFP, no one has it figured out

    Our mother was an INFJ.
    Housewife
    Stay at home mom
Could cook to feed the 5th army
    Made sourdo
    Made cheese
    Made bookshelves
Made socks and quilts and knit hats and blankets
    Collected silver
Collected fountain pens (the really cheap ones)
    Collected Linux operating systems
She taught us how to cook and how to do math
She'd answer every single "why?" we asked, and if she didn't know, we'd find a book on it
She played guitar so much the frets wore through and we had to get her a new one. I'm still not sure how we succeeded in surprising her with it.
She lived her life like she was on borrowed time (the doctors told her mother not to buy baby cloths), and in the end, all she wanted was to be remembered. How could we forget?
Her granddaughter reminds me of her terribly

My kids won't even talk to me. I had a difficult time at one point in my life due to toxic mold. Unknowingly poisoning me and my children. It was killing me. When I finally figured out what was making me so sick, and it took over 10 years of suffering, I lost it. Psychologically. Couldn't believe no one in the family believed me. It was inconvenient for them as it rendered our home, and also nesting for aging husband, valueless. It was easier to deem me crazy and on drugs. The point being, I did every thing. Like your mother. I am gifted and can do so many things. And whatever I "want" to learn, I do. And then some. So when I had a break down, physically and mentally suffering from toxic mold exposure is no joke, my family couldn't accept it. I, who everyone looked to for medical advice, who coached 2 soccer teams and had a girl scout Troup and a brownie Troup and a full time business in the Caribbean while having a photography business while raising three kids and on and on. Two kids were still little and only know what was told to them by people who didn't live with us and didn't know me. They won't talk to me as they think I'm nuts and or dangerous. I love my kids more than my own life. and my grandchildren don't even know me. I was a good mom. They were always loved and perfectly cared for until something unknown to me almost killed me and in protecting them I lost my mind trying to figure out what the culprit was. I figured out out. Only to be disbelieve and locked up as crazy. My kids were still going to be in that house that was toxic caught it on fire. Of course no one was there. Not even a pet was harmed. I made sure every one of dozens of pets were out of the house and safe. And I flicked my bic. They didn't live in that house another day. Even though I wasin psych. Eval for 7 months. Then prison for two years. First degree arson. There was no criminal intent. No money involved. No insurance was ever thought of for me. I only wanted my children to not be exposed to deadly carcinogenic toxic mold. No on would listen. So I did the only thing I could think of at the time to protect them. They are lost to me, I guess forever. The lives of my life. My three beautiful girls. Sorry. I only wanted for them to remember me too

i knew without looking that this post came from a female. That’s not an accusation, just an observation. A prediction, plreally based on the perspective.
hmmm. i understand what you mean… but what if not being normal had a direct effect on your life negatively? What if there were consequences?
I hear folks say they don’t care what other think of them. I hear that almost entirely from women, however. Likewise, “I have no filter” and statements of that sort, and I wonder what their lives must be like.
As a male, if people don’t like you, that effects your reputation, with trickles down to your employment and income, whether or not you’ll date or be found attractive, or maybe have to spend your entire life alone. Then there’s issues that are required for emotional development and happiness: sex, love or children.
Right off I can’t think of any REAL consequences in life for a woman pertaining to saying or doing anything unpopular. You’d have to blatantly break the law the see an impact on yourself socially. In the end… you’ll still be able to pick and choose what options in life you’ll enjoy or disregard. You’ll never find yourself shunned by society as a consequence for being different.
i point these inconsistencies out, not to offend anyone, and not to start a man-hunt, but to broach a question:
If your option to EVER experience romantic love or desire, ability to have friends. ability to have children, ability to gain and hold employment all rested on whether or not you could be normal,… would you still choose to be different instead. Different and alone?

@@johnbobbitt6470 well, i understand your perspective, for literally "being normal" is what i have to cope with every second of my life. I just don't feel happy and satisfied to force myself to follow "normal", especially that " normal" is not usually right. As you point out, being different does have negativity, and so does being normal. I chose to be who i really am and i except all the consequences of my choice. The main point is nothing but to enjoy the way you go. If being normal makes you happier, just keep on. Wish you all the best!

Embrace being this way. Learn how the other personality types engage the world and learn to interact with them on their level. The INFJ is adaptive enough to learn how to do this. This is key. We have the potential in tying together people of similar interests. We don't need to be leaders, but the glue that holds leaders together in a common goal. The human resource types, the advisors, the power behind the throne.

This personality has been a CURSE most of my life UNTIL I found out through educating myself about Narcissists, ( after being ripped off 20yrs by one, had no idea these evil parasites existed until it was too late ) Anywho so with researching, as we do 😂 it led me to Empaths and INFJ personalities that are the top target for these creatures. So researching and educating myself with all this life saving information led me to a journey of self discovery of myself, learning and understanding who I am and protecting myself from toxic people. Now having this knowledge, this beautiful personality is now a BLESSING ☺️ I’ve evolved and pressed on to maturity , having tremendous personal growth. I can now understand myself and I keep learning and growing with built in strong healthy boundaries to protect myself. My life could have been so different if I had this life saving knowledge 30 years but I’m thankful that this valuable information is out there now to help us understand that our personality is an absolute blessing especially when we have like minded ones in our lives . Thank you 🙏 SO much for sharing this information, you will never know how much it makes a difference in a INFJ’s Life 👏👏👏👏 💝🌸💖 NZ

I used to think about being forced to live a normal life and I would feel suicidal. I couldn't do it. My family doesn't really understand that, therefore I have always been the Black Sheep. So I lived very differently and gave myself a wonderful, interesting life. Now I live in nature as sort of a Hermit and constantly learn and absorb information. I do not care to be around people because "people " just doesn't work for me. Amazingly though I am in my 60's I find that younger men in their early 30's find me intriguing and attractive and sometimes fall in love with me. I stay clear of having relationships with them though. Life is a trip. I think I took a separate plane from other people.

It's so hard to explain why I think and feel and how I know things about people and people's scenarios without knowing them and because I'm so brutally honest they make me out as a snob or an asshole or to think I believe I'm special when all I do is keep it real by showing them a mirror.

Totally on point, ever since I was a child I didn’t have my goals oriented the same way everyone else did, so being asked what I wanted to be when I grew up confused me. I always had an answer to give so it would satisfy them but I loved my books and knew there was a whole big world out there. I’m in my 30’s now and I still don’t know “what I want to be when I grow up” (my dad is an entrepreneur in his 60’s and says this). I know I want to help people, so I listen and I study herbs but at the same time I want to be a hermit in the mountains away from people content with my books and animals. I don’t get lonely being away from others, I have my ENFP mate so I am satisfied. Being a nomad was always a dream though I know nowadays that would be more difficult.

Its terribly difficult being an INFJ. I am very often considered to be mentally disabled because I dont know or follow the social norms. Then when people start to realize I think differently than they do, they try to bring me down to what ever level they are on (materialistic, promiscuous, other inappropriate actions) and get upset when they fail. Then they turn and become very upset with me because they experience cognitive dissonance (start to question what they think and believe). Ive had these experiences at work for decades and learned that Im doing EXACTLY what I am supposed to do in this life. Stay strong brothers and sisters, we are just as important as everyone else, but for a different reason.

You certainly don't write like you're mentally disabled. I'm not either. I got straight As when I took a Business Management program. Nor am I promiscuous. I've been celibate for decades. But when one of my uncles heard that I was helping to feed the homeless in a run-down part of the city frequented by prostitutes, he became jealous because I was doing something that doesn't happen in his church. They're a cult that thinks they are the only true Christian church, though they never get involved in charitable works. To discredit me, he told our relatives that I'm retarded and that I was selling my body on the street. Lol! My brother was very angry about that slander.

I really struggled as an adolescent. I felt almost completely lost, despite having good family (not perfect but good in some ways). I now know why, I'm an INFJ. Many years of being confused about ourselves, underestimated, misunderstood, patronised, psychologically bullied. Add all that to the already sensitive and quietly passionate INFJ personality and you have a timebomb waiting to go off. No wonder we struggle. It's tragic. This stuff needs to be taught in schools but then again society needs to improve in general. If only society realised INFJs are the best placed to effect important societal change. Then we would be helped when young, and appreciated as adults. Instead we have to find our own path through much adversity, which, while character building, only gives us so much time. All the time we have to watch so many fools and bad people fucking things up. Changemakers are usually lonely people for a reason.
I think an unhealthy life for an INFJ is to disappear by appearing 'normal' and seeking others to make us feel better. We can be invisible among people at times.

We, the true INFJ, not the ‘wanna be’, will come to terms with their uniqueness, once souls and minds mature‼️

Is this the one key indicator...? My deepest goal since as long as I can remember, to be able to have a normal life...

Okay RUclips feed, all of this empath or infNJ and sigma stuff is very ironically similar to me. It seems like there may be more going on here. Yet, IDK if that’s quite exactly all? However I do think it is a really enlightening start (:

I am an INFJ. What I would like to add is, for me, the box other people think in is a rumor. I have never seen this box and I am over 50. I love being unique, but it can get lonely. I always want to go way deeper and to the edge more then other people.

    Normalcy is relevant.
What is NORMAL to the spider, is chaos to the fly. I identify with much of what this video says. THAT is "normal" to ME.
Mainly because I do not seek societal approval. "They laugh at me because I am different. I laugh at them, because they are all the same."
    Peace and Blessings

Sometimes I question myself If I am really an INFJ and when I see all these videos pointing out exactly how I am like if my personality was an open book, I continuously realize that I am indeed one.

Help this has nothing to do with being INFJ 😭 Ni doesn’t mean you’re smarter or unique, Fe-Ti doesn’t mean you’re mysterious and philosophical, Se inf doesn’t mean you don’t care about the present world at all 💀 Everything stated in the video is basically just what more than half of the population secretly feels istg

Thank you so much for commenting this, because I‘ve started to feel very uncomfortable watching this video and reading others comments. -ISFJ

Understanding seems be tough for many but not so much for us…We’re kinda programmed it a A/B/C kind of way ie: problem,Reaction, Solution…
