Bananas are a great way to sweeten smoothies (and add fiber, if not too ripe). We usually tell our customers to freeze peeled and sliced bananas so they always have some on hand. Bananas also help give the smoothie an even creamier mouthfeel.
Regarding California's Prop65, what many don’t realize is that infinitely trace amounts of metals are present in any plant-based food, organic or not because metals are found naturally in soil.
The protein does meet all FDA guidelines and our employees all feed it to our kids without safety issues. However, California required us to include that disclaimer the same as many other plant-based product, toys, buildings, etc. in the state, including Starbucks coffee and hotels.
