@@frequentsee3815are you for real or trolling. In a sport with a hard cap it is almost impossible to continually be a legitimate cup contender over an extended period of time. Unless you are not only hitting on your top draft picks but hitting on mid rounders consistently your going to go through 5ish years where you go from legit contender to mushy middle team. Mushy middle is the worst never bad enough to draft top 10 but never good enough for a real playoff run. You need to have guys coming up constantly to replace guys that either price themselves out or age out. To become that consistent team that not only drafts well both early and mid but develop these guys and have sustained success you have to hit the reset button. It’s impossible to build a team strictly thru free agency and by trading your draft picks

Probably for the best. Demidov isn't the most defensively gifted forward out there and Eiserman is lower on the defensive end than most in this draft. Too many defensive liabilities at the forward position might backfire. I have a feeling the Habs will do just fine without him.

I'm nervous about the Yakemchuk pick really needs to work on defending off the rush his in zone defending is fine for the most part but off the rush hes horrible. Thats where most of his PIMs come from guys beating him on the rush and him slashing, hooking, and tripping guys that beat him to try to slow opponents down and because of this I'll be surprised if he plays in the NHL for 3 or 4 years likely need a couple years in Belleville after 2 more years in the WHL. Like the raw talent but 7 was a reach on him I really hope it works out cause the Sens need a dman on that right side that fits the mold Yakemchuk could become

Sharks and Hawks added a lot, especially the Hawks need to be watched.
Flyers got a free roll on the last pick of the 1st round, can`t get worse than 32.
Don`t understand the Oilers here, they want to have their 1st at the deadline.

Obviously Sennecke going third was a surprise. But some guys were saying he could sneak into the top five. I guess the more shocking part of it was that he went before Demidov. AND Lindstrom. But the latter is obviously less surprising than the former.
Other than that the only things that I found actually were surprising how the aforementioned Demidov dropped, and how Buium dropped. Im especially surprised Dickinson went before him. MANY people thought Buium was the best D in the draft. And I believe he was the fifth D taken. Just goes to show how coveted right shot D are. And how coveted size is (Silayev).
I guess I’m also surprised Teddy Stiga didn’t go until well into the second round. I really like his game. The scouching guys had him ranked 5th or 6th. Which I thought was absurd. But he was DEF a first round quality prospect imo.
Anyway, it was an entertaining draft. There were SEVERAL picks that had me going, “WHO?!” And that’s lots of fun, I think. Lol
