@@gerggerggy7757: I agree. Definitely a head a head scratcher. I know we needed a center -and, honestly I would have taken Boisvert over Luchenko. But, if I'm drafting the best player at 12 - it would have been Buium.
Habs did really well. Eiserman falling so far, good pick by the Isles. Buium on 12 also good for the Wild. Don`t understand the Flyers there. Sharks and Hawks added a lot, especially the Hawks need to be watched. Flyers got a free roll on the last pick of the 1st round, can`t get worse than 32. Don`t understand the Oilers here, they want to have their 1st at the deadline.
Probably for the best. Demidov isn't the most defensively gifted forward out there and Eiserman is lower on the defensive end than most in this draft. Too many defensive liabilities at the forward position might backfire. I have a feeling the Habs will do just fine without him.
I think Nygard is gonna surprise people, given how some are giving that pick a thumbs down for some reason. He's a solid forechecker who doesn't seem to hesitate to throw his weight around. Of course, that story has yet to be written, but with Wings alum in Sweden who'll undoubtedly be working with him, I can't see a scenario where he isn't on our second line in a few years.
It's all set and arranged behind closed doors. They Bedard was going to Chicago and MtL knew Demidov would be available 5th because that's what everyone agreed upon. They all take turns and I'd bet backdoor payoffs.
As a Blues fan I feel slightly better than neutral about the Texier trade. I don’t expect much of anything from him but also how bad of a deal can it be for a 4th and a 2x2 contract.
I was so excited when Solberg was Available and Avs were still otc just to fucking trade it away, atleast i can get the new Ducks Jersey with a norwegian name on it, silver lining and all that

Obviously Sennecke going third was a surprise. But some guys were saying he could sneak into the top five. I guess the more shocking part of it was that he went before Demidov. AND Lindstrom. But the latter is obviously less surprising than the former. Other than that the only things that I found actually were surprising how the aforementioned Demidov dropped, and how Buium dropped. Im especially surprised Dickinson went before him. MANY people thought Buium was the best D in the draft. And I believe he was the fifth D taken. Just goes to show how coveted right shot D are. And how coveted size is (Silayev). I guess I’m also surprised Teddy Stiga didn’t go until well into the second round. I really like his game. The scouching guys had him ranked 5th or 6th. Which I thought was absurd. But he was DEF a first round quality prospect imo. Anyway, it was an entertaining draft. There were SEVERAL picks that had me going, “WHO?!” And that’s lots of fun, I think. Lol
Yea the first round takes too long, I imagine the idea is to give time for trades but the last few have had nothing but picks. I’m in favour of a shorter draft but 5 is where it should be
Hawks twitter is furious with the Lev pick over demidov and are calling for davidsons head. Honestly way to early to tell for all we know sennecke will be the best player from this draft but the impatience from hawks fans is crazy
Try being a DucksFan...Verbeek putting us through Murray era 2.0..neither selection was "Great"....just waiting for him to give Gibson and Zegras away for not much..
Ducks did what the flyers should have done in 2017. When you like a guy, just pick him. I think Sennecke is the joker here. He’s the kind of guy you see picked in later rounds and say how was he not picked earlier.
People need to realize that Wes Clark knows what he's doing. Was Ben Danford a reach? Probably. However, Wes Clark always knows who his guy is and is never afraid to take the guy he believes in. Until he lets us down, I trust his judgment. They did the same thing last year and it has paid off so far, so I'm fine with it. Plus, Ben Danford is elite defensively and has decent underlying playmaking numbers despite the lower point totals. Was it the conventional pick there? No. But Wes Clark has shown that he knows what he's doing when it comes to drafting and he wouldn't have went with Danford if he didn't see something in him.
Devils pick is fantastic, now my only hope is that Markstrom isn't horrible this year and we can compete in the Metro again. Button isn't an insider. He's the NHL version of Mel Kiper, someone who doesn't know what he's talking about come draft time and needs to retire already.

@@gerggerggy7757: I agree. Definitely a head a head scratcher. I know we needed a center -and, honestly I would have taken Boisvert over Luchenko. But, if I'm drafting the best player at 12 - it would have been Buium.
As a kraken fan, I’m excited to see what Berkly does
Habs did really well.
O’reilly was playing bottom line minutes and next year should play more. He can look at a massive steal and gain value
I’m an oilers fan and honestly I’m shocked we even got to draft last night
Holy crap, I was really hopping Eiserman would drop an extra pick. It would have been insane, Demidov and Eiserman.
Probably for the best. Demidov isn't the most defensively gifted forward out there and Eiserman is lower on the defensive end than most in this draft. Too many defensive liabilities at the forward position might backfire. I have a feeling the Habs will do just fine without him.
Very happy habs fan!🇨🇦
Connelly only knows he won't play in Vegas...
My flyers were disappointing but im happy Chicago Drafting Boisvert is great, I can get a jersey with my last name on it without getting a costum one
rough draft for us flyers fans but could’ve been worse
That's a good one :D
Very clearly stacking capital for a deeper draft next year. 6 picks in likely in the top 40? I'll take that any day of the year.
@@thefool733 I didn't even consider that, that is actually really good
@@boisvert45what?!? You average fan isn’t smarter than a GM and their team?!?! Tell me more
As a Blues fan I feel slightly better than neutral about the Texier trade. I don’t expect much of anything from him but also how bad of a deal can it be for a 4th and a 2x2 contract.
I don't think I'll ever get used to utah being a team in the NHL. It just sounds off. Wisconsin should have got an expansion team years ago, already!
Utah with an act of bullying in this year’s draft by taking Tij Iginla before Calgary had a chance. I think this means war has begun.
It’s a draft. They can take who they think helps them most.
not dissapoiting not at all if the 4th would've been dealt , demidov wasn't there for the habs pick so I am glad columbus didn't fucked it up for us.
Habs making the playoffs.
Dickinson and Celebrini in San Hose!
Imagine Detroit with Lindstrom and eiserman, would be soooo confusing
I was so excited when Solberg was Available and Avs were still otc just to fucking trade it away, atleast i can get the new Ducks Jersey with a norwegian name on it, silver lining and all that
Ivan is a steal, he's going to be pretty good 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊, what a steal n the NHL 2024 draft ........
@Speed3134 Reinbacher is good buddy... not Demidov good, but he's good.
Montreal is drafting really well since Hughes took over as GM. I didn't hate Bergevin but Hughes as been great so far
I think he MBN can be 30+-30 guy in the NHL. he's got a great shot. I think people are undervaluing him because of that 200ft player label. He is ALOT more than that.
Lol
Oh! Also shocked Eiserman dropped to 20
Yea the first round takes too long, I imagine the idea is to give time for trades but the last few have had nothing but picks. I’m in favour of a shorter draft but 5 is where it should be
Hawks twitter is furious with the Lev pick over demidov and are calling for davidsons head. Honestly way to early to tell for all we know sennecke will be the best player from this draft but the impatience from hawks fans is crazy
I wanted Levshunov to go to the Ducks for the past couple months. He will be amazing. Sennecke for the Ducks was s surprise but a good one.
That trevor connoley thing is a nothing burger. 16 year old boy posts dumb joke. Wouldnt be worried about how hateful he is lmao.
Try being a DucksFan...Verbeek putting us through Murray era 2.0..neither selection was "Great"....just waiting for him to give Gibson and Zegras away for not much..
🔥 did so good so happy
San Jose won big for getting both a legit stud centre and dman. Montreal won big for scooping Demidov.
I feel Calgary got a steal at #9... Parekh.
Catton and Parekh will be better than people picked ahead of them.
Ducks did what the flyers should have done in 2017. When you like a guy, just pick him. I think Sennecke is the joker here. He’s the kind of guy you see picked in later rounds and say how was he not picked earlier.
What about the Kings 1st round pick?
Habs won the first round easyyyyy demidov and hage 😍
I think the Sharks did, but Montreal is a close second.
He's the NHL version of Mel Kiper, someone who doesn't know what he's talking about come draft time and needs to retire already.
as usual my team decided to trade away their first round draft pick.
Ducks fans are sharing your pain
Mine traded away a vezina-winner for a late 1st after trading away all their 1st of the last years lol
@@derekjay.s nah, we're more than good with two massive picks!
I'll take Ben Danford, defensive defenseman, RIGHT HANDED!
Demi is a habs 🔵⚪️🔴🇷🇺🇨🇦
