I've owned reptiles for years now... how did I not know this Channel existed?! My husband and I are now watching every how to inclosure video you have. Thank you so much for making this incredibly easy to understand!
Thank you so much for your support and welcome to my channel! So flattered, thank you for the kind words! 😊🙏🏼
Corkboard is freaking genius!! Most ppl put a layer of glue/silicone on the back glass and cover it in substrate, I might combine the 2 ideas, corkboard then glued substrate. If anything goes wrong you'd just be out a couple sheets of cork board and a tube of silicone.
Panda Cory for the win! They are honestly the best clean up crew (Corydora in general are- panda Cory and pygmy Cory are just adorable)
Hi, first of all i really enjoy these video's. It gives great inspiration to everybody. I just wanted to correct some mistakes you made so everyone who wants to do build something similar knows this.
1 a temperature of 82 degrees is too hot for most fish, make sure the fish you put in have the same requirements. Corydoras have a temperature range from 60 to 75 F, so best turn it down ;)
2 anubias plants should not be put in the substrate but attached to rocks or wood otherwise the roots will suffocate and the plants will die
3 you already learnt about the rock wool i see :)
It is a learning proces for everybody. I just felt I had to give these tips so people won't damage their plants and fish. Keep up the good work of you paludarium design and explaining how it all works!
Thank you for the tips/recommendations! I’ve actually adjusted my temps since thanks to considerate viewers like you!
That looks awesome!! Make one for me 😛
Thanks my friend! Would love to! Maybe when I can see you guys again if the border ever opens back up 😓.

Tyler Rugge sounds good to me!
Reptiliatus hello
Tyler Rugge hello
Extremely high quality!! Underrated!
Freaknifethrower thanks for your kind words! Please feel free to share the video!
Now I know who to call for help on enclosure builds ! 🙌
Thanks my man!
such a cool build!
Thanks so much for watching everyone! Hope you enjoyed and learned something! For those of you who are aquarium savvy I just want to say I appreciate those of you who have shared helpful advice and also voiced your concerned regarding me not removing the rock wool from roots of the plants. I'll be doing this shortly and leaving this comment pinned so that anyone who see's this won't make the same little mistake 😜!
Hello I’m new and I was wondering did you make your land section bioactive
That turned out way cooler then I expected!
Thanks my man! Glad you liked it!
Sir you are awesome😊😊.. BIG FAN FROM INDIA🇮🇳🇮🇳
Since you get to see the fish from above, I would HIGHLY recommend African Butterfly Fish. They might even get a treat if any crickets fall in the water. They look beautiful from above.
Thanks Tyler. Great video. I have a very similar set up with the Palu-D and an indoor grow rack. Was cool to see yours for a quick second!
Wow! Awesome video dude! That looks amazing and I cant wait to see the follow up!
the Tarantula Collective thanks Richard! Means a lot! ☺️🙏🏼
Very aesthetic.. Have to make one like this
Thank you for this video ! We had already done a paludarium but definitely are going to switch it up for our water dragon! Wish I could add a picture of ours in the comments !
Wonderful! I’m thrilled you liked it! Thanks for watching!
AMAZING!
Absolutely gorgeous Paludarium Dayyan, very impressive as are all of your builds. Hugely inspiring my friend!!
Thank you so much! ☺️🙏🏼
Hey brother, get you a piece of 1\2 tempered glass and and practice your cutting and drilling to help you with more confidence with the process. It's how I had to do it. After I had destroyed a 40 long. Took me about a month of practice, but now I can cut any glass. ( Don't forget to have fine grit sandpaper for the cut edges)
GREAT JOB ON THIS ! ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL
Can you please tell me where you got the cork boards from and roughly about how much they were? This is awesome!
Looks amazing!!!
Thanks so much and thanks for watching!
Dang, it looks awesome! I wish I had the money to make one of these lmao
Thank you!
it’s not that expensive
Nice setup
awesome job and awesome video! learned a lot about how to plant different plants in a viv in different ways. that is something i am working on and learning about so thanks for posting this
Thank you so much! Really glad you learned a lot and enjoyed the video!
AMAZING! I love it.
So glad! Thanks for watching!
Wow. that is fantastic.
Thank you so much!
That looks awesome. Nice work! I'm sure the new animals are gonna love it!
Thank you! They already do 😉!
Not only is the build great but the editing on this video is great as well!!
Thank you so much! Really appreciate that! I worked hard on this one!
Wow😦 One of my dreamscapes and lizards

This was exciting to watch - great job and thanks for sharing this experience with us.
Thank you!
What an interesting and lovely video: So much thought and planning! Thank you for sharing.
Wow just wow that looks amazing I can’t wait to create one myself those Chinese croc lizards are a dream animal of mine
Thank you! That’s awesome!
Wow stunning setup. Great video.
Thanks so much for watching! ☺️🙏🏼
Wow that looks amazing !! Good job!!!
Thank you!
YESSSS!! I’ve been waiting for this video!!!!
hope you like it! :)
Reptiliatus I didn’t like it! I LOVED IT!!!!! The setup looks amazing!
Bruno’s Exotics thanks so much man! Means a lot!
the love you have for what you do is so heartwarming. The paludearium is beautiful, what is creating the fog inside of it? How does that work?
Thank you so much! Means a lot! That’s a zoomed repti fogger amzn.to/30XjHPj !
Literally cannot find this paludarium for sale ANYWHERE... and I'm not going to buy it online for 500 on some random website because I know it's not that much. I loved this build!! I cant wait to do my own!
this is super helpful! my basilisk and I say thank you!!
My pleasure!
Your work, like your video production , is very detailed. Well done. Thanks for the information.
Thank you very much!
There you go with that hand mister 😅
Great video and perfect timing, I'm off to continue working on a paludarium myself.
Thanks so much Alec! Hahaha always using it 😉. Wonderful! Can’t wait to see what your finished product is!
Amazing video!
Thank you! 🙏🏼
Love the vids!!!
Thank you!
I want to build a vivarium for carnivorous plants! Hopefully I can do it a little later this year.
very helpful video! amazing!!
I’m so glad! Thank you!
love your build, i need one like that for my green basilisk ;p
Thank you so much! Best of luck! Hope this video helps!
How much would a set up like this cost using the products used? Looks good. What species of reptile are you planning to house in it? Filter towers tend to work better if they are below the waterline like housing it underneath the terrarium.
cant wait to see the animal!!!!
Can’t wait to show you! ☺️
Thanks for the video .
I have drilled hundreds of tanks , as I’m a saltwater hobbiest getting into a new hobby! If you ever need advice to drill a tank please let me know
A nice and simple build with shop brought items everyone can do nice and easy well done =] Lets see a full custom build with a waterfall and a nice background next. Painted rocks cant just cheat and put silicone on the background 😉
Thanks for the challenge! I’ll actually be posting a video Friday on how to build a drylock background for your naturalistic vivarium! Stay tuned!
Really great video men !
Thank you for watching! Glad you enjoyed it! ☺️👍🏼
Aye man this is dope i subscribed a week in advance just to be alerted to when this video was published
Jimmy Burgess thanks so much for your support! Means a lot and glad you enjoyed the video!
I enjoyed thia video keep doing this
And i like when you Set up habitats
Thank you very much!
A Shinisaurus!! Wow that's one of my dream lizards!!
Not just one! 😉 you’ll see soon! Thanks for watching!
@@Reptiliatus Wow that's amazing!
Cool video, not what I was hoping for though, I was looking for a make your own tank type tutorial, my plan is to make a paludarium for water dragons from a big double wardrobe, the trouble is working out what are reptile safe sealants and woods, that information is hard to find! Maybe I should just line it with glass! It'd Be a ridiculously expensive aproach though!
As for the intake tube how did you manage to find one that fits till the bottom of the enclosure ? As all the once I'm finding are to short .. I'm also afraid of drilling through the glass.
Been waiting for this one! Great video as always. Just a heads up you should take the rock wool off those plants roots it will rot eventually and harm the roots.
Thanks so much brother! Yes, that will be corrected!
@@Reptiliatus yeah this, and anubias is not a plant to put in your substrate but attach to rocks or wood. otherwise it will rot.
What was the tiles you used on the back?
Looks awesome. I just wouldnt know what to house in it
That’s the fun part! ☺️
I really want this tank but they just aren’t available anywhere
Same problem. I noticed that was the only thing he didn’t have listed in his equipment links. ☹️
It’s all zoomed stuff, it’s actually kind of crappy. Filters are meh at best and mister is horrible. It’s the worse british equivalent of exoterra
Where did you get those cork tiles?
Did you ever considered building a water fall with build, with a power head pump, or used the existing canister filter spray bar?
Just looking has inspired me to purchase that exact tank, expansion foam, wood cut cut, set and shape. Off to work to create one!!!
awesome video!!!!!
I had considered this but I decided to lean more towards the practical side of things. You see the lizards going into the enclosure are pretty large so things like waterfalls can create complications (potentially getting clogged, etc so I decided to stick to the simplest option I could use that I could still make as beautiful as possible ☺️. Thank you very much!
@@Reptiliatus awesome, I have two Paludariums, 10 gallon size and 29 gallon aquariums. The powerheads require frequent preventative maintenence. Cloggi G has occurred, where the flow was decreased.
Now with routine maintenance, the powerhead are inspected to ensure consistent water flow.
Hi I have just bought habistat terrarium size 30x30 x45 cm 12x12 x18" what is the best filter to use as my water level will just go below the vent near the door as I am only going to keep red fresh water crabs and me heater is going to be a nano one this is all new to me as I only keep tropical fish any help will do cheers
Where did you get that cork screw background?
I may be late but this is an amazing build, I wonder if there’s a paludarium for Hermit crabs
Link for the exact cork tiles ?
What are the boards you use for the background?
Where do you have this???? Is it the one with Sabzi in it?? Nice sponsor! PRIME is incredible one cap treats like 1,000 gallons. Compared to other dechlorinators it also takes neutralizes ammonia Nitrites and other stuff. Great Plants! Mail order? Great Job! You have youre water intake on the opposite end of the out put? So you get full circulation... AWsome!
Where did you get the cork background from? I don't want to get the wrong cork and kill my animals.
Where did you buy the background?
Do you keep the water heated to 82 degrees now that you have had the shinisaurus in there for a while? I have heard they like it cooler then that.
This is awesome! I keep trying to find these things but zoo med seems to be sold out every time I look ah
Do you water the plants on the platform
Ooh Australian water dragon! I prefer the Chinese water dragon overall, but they're both sick!
Haha this is neither! They are Chinese crocodile lizards (Shinisaurus crocodilurus)! Thanks for watching!
Ooh that makes more sense. I thought it looked a bit like Intellagama lesueurii :)
So what did you put in it, i can’t find the link to the next video 😩
Isn’t 82 degrees Fahrenheit kinda high for white cloud minnows? Awesome tank btw !
I am interested to see how the mountain minnows, panda gara, and shrimp will do long term in that high of a temperature
They have all been living in this Paludarium for 2 months without issues so far.
How did you get the canister to work from sucking and pump from that height?
It’s a miracle isn’t it?! 😅 priming it carefully lol
Can you just use a standard fish tank and have a 1/4 of it with water?
how long does it take for the background to dry on the glass
24-48 hours or so!
I live in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Is it possible to create a paludarium using local flora and fauna?
it hurt my brain when I saw you plant the aquarium plants with the rockwool on
no hate tho, cool paludarium
Yup :D
Hi how much will that built up cost thanks ,
The new type 1 only says mold free is because it is naturally for 8-10 years!! Is the same SDS as before
Why do you need a pump and filter?
I just want to say you should be careful with the white cloud minnows. They thrive in cooler temperatures. Just keep an eye out because they are prone to disease and parasites in warmer temperatures.
Thank you so much for sharing your concern! The temperatures in this tank will will dropped seasonally (to the lowest level that is still safe for the other tropical fish- probbaly 77f or so) and the minnows have already been living in here for 2 months without any issues. I will keep a close eye on them but all 8 of them have been doing quite well thus far.
@@Reptiliatus I was always of the opinion they wanted cold water
Do you already made videos with Petko ?!?!(the dark den) (Im a new peopol in the channel so i dont know all) but i know a lot about geckos
Yes! I’ve made a video with Petko :). We met last summer in the US and stayed together for a RUclipsr convention! He’s a dear friend of mine in the Petuber community! m.ruclips.net/video/xR9mGuWOsrk/видео.html
“I let it cycle for seven days” 😂😂😂
How much did this build cost?
Finally! Good content... I've been surfing for the past 2 days hoping to find a useful AND entertaining video
SMH
Thanks so much man! ☺️🙏🏼
I cannot find this tank anywhere
How do you know which animals to mix
Lots of research on how calm, territorial certain ones are as well as making sure their care requirements match (ex. Some fish like cooler water temps and wouldn’t work)
@@Reptiliatus thanks. I'm brand new to owning fish and pets, let alone creating a paladarium uk? So I'm researching and soaking up everything there is to know and I learned a lot from ur vids
From scratch 45 new store bought products pop up at the beginning
Which were then put together over days of work to produce the final product lol.
how much is the cost for all of this???
White cloud mountain minnows prefer cooler water.
Thank you for sharing your concern/information. I looked into this and they should be fine considering the temperature will be dropped to mid 70’s (minimum temps the tetras need) for a full season to stimulate the reptile inhabitants to hibernate/brumate.
Okay, I just wanted to make sure you did your research and have all of the in mind.
I appreciate that. Thanks again! They can still thrive in warmer water but their metabolism is more active and there is speculation it reduces lifespan. This won’t be an issue since I will seasonally drop the temps.
Looks beautiful! But for the aquarium plants (java fern and anubias) do NOT put their rhizomes under the substrate. They will rot. Its best to attach them to wood or rocks!
*and you need to take the rockwool off of the.plants before planting them. They will leech too many nutrients into the water column and u will have tons of issues with algea ! Just letting you know :) but I am super jealous and i need to make a paludarium asap
Thanks so much for the advice! I’ve read mixed opinions but better safe than sorry, I’ll make the adjustments and address them in a future video!
what do you call scratch
82°f is way too hot for the White Cloud Mountain minnows!!!
Is there a way to make a paladarium for a pacman frog???
Definitely would not suggest that. They are quite prone to drowning. Especially if they accidentally flip onto their back in water.
You gunna need a better lookin hardscape for shinasairud c'mon now
