The main concern in the coming year or so is that Seth Jones will move to greener pastures. I wonder if there comes a point in Jacket Land when enough is enough and there is a realization that the money spent on tickets is better spent on other things.
Idk if it’s me but I feel like hockey players are starting to open up more during interviews. I love to see it. It’s annoying not seeing them show emotion and give the same predictable answers to boring questions.

This was actually a little tough to watch. The Jackets are historically a rather sad professional franchise regardless of the sport. Elvis might want out. He would not be the first.
For young athletic guys in their physical prime, Columbus is not a preferred destination. Those would be Vegas, or Tampa, or Los Angeles. And the Jackets are not a preferred franchise. Those would be the Bruins, or the Black Hawks, or the Rangers.

The problem is that Columbus is a dull city, and the franchise has a reputation as a loser. There are a couple of teams that have similar problems to Columbus. One is Buffalo. Another is Ottawa. For the relentless optimist, the Pittsburgh Penguins offer hope in that it is a similar city but has a franchise that has a long reputation as a winner and therefore is seen has an acceptable place for free agents. That, in turn, allows the team to continue its winning tradition.

i know Elvis, i live and report on hockey in Switzerland, he is the most honest person you will ever meet and also 1 of the kindest, this video is sad for me to watch as i know how much hockey winning and teamwork means to him and his main goal night in night out is to play for the fans and the team not the money he isnt about money, if CBJ want to improve on there team and go further in the future you need to stop getting people with a big salary and just get players who care and give as much as he does on and off the ice. trust me when i say that, you can also expect this kind of attitude from Grégory Hofmann from the NLA and trade you did when he arrives next season IF you give him a chance, he always puts in the effort every shift

No number one center. How do you trade for patrick laine, they guy is probably one of the most inconsistent players. 10 games he will play terrible, and then 1 game he will get 2 or 3 goals. Laine will most likely be leaving after this season aswell. Blow this team up, keep a couple pieces and get trade for some picks and prospects.
Torts needs to let Laine be Laine and offense will be produced. There's a horrible situation in regards to offensive players left in columbus. They need scoring wherever they can get it. That or torts has a golden plan to develop Laine into a power forward during a declining season and next year results will come especially with offseason acquisitions.
These no filter responses remind me a bit of Jordan Binnington or Illya Bryzgalov (hopefully his career follows Binnington's and not Bryz's lol). Not a Jackets fan, but if I was I would be excited about this guy.
this season is a mess.. on-ice, its okay, I feel like the hockey isn't up there with previous years. but off ice for these players, its a nightmare. no interaction with anyone, if you dare invite your russian friends to your hotel room to play some video games, you get suspended.. more players will vent their frustrations I think.
