Bruh plays like this are why we have challenges now. it happened really fast, and reffie was on the wrong side of the net and you cant spear the goalies glove for a goal its always been that way. they had the same review later in the game.
@@burningfarts It has absolutely not always been this way. I, too, was taught in youth hockey to keep going for the puck if it was under a goalie's glove as long as the whistle hadn't been blown.

@@roguishpaladin That's because before challenges you might get away with it. If you score an illegal goal it still counts if noone calls it. That is why you were taught to keep going for it.
Yes and no. If the goalie clearly covers the puck, it's common knowledge that a player doesn't have the right to poke at the glove regardless if the whistle has gone yet. There is always going to be a lag period between when the goalie covers the puck to when the whistle is blown.

I remember in 2004 when Poppa Tkachuk, Matthew and Braeden all got an ice cream cone after a light-hearted Christmas-time practice at the Blues practice facility - all happy with their goodies. Braeden Rocks! They play full out; making the game fun. Matthew's rivalry with Kassian is super - you never know what or when and that's good hockey!!!

Who else believes that was an offside @ 1:49? Slow motion seems to show him crossing into the zone backwards before the puck.
If you stop the video at 1:50 the puck appears to be on the blue line while the toe of his right skate seems to be outside the blue line, so from the angle we are viewing, he looks onside.
