Love that he's trying to let the boys have fun, but also aware that they have careers to worry about. It's honestly kind of touching.
Keith seems like the dad that can be a hard ass, but now that his kids are in the show he's like the coolest dad ever. He, more than anyone, gets it. The chirps must me amazing.
I couldn't imagine watching not one but two of my kids in the big leagues. I'm sure you get used to it because you hope your kids have long careers, but I'm sure there are moments where Keith feels that his life is just surreal.

For sure. They're both skilled top line guys who just happen to play an old school game. I would love to have a guy like that on the sabres. Love watching those kind of players. They make it entertaining. You hate when they do it to your team but you wish they were on yours.

One of the great things about hockey at the NHL level is you have a role. There are enforcers and scorers, rats and stand up D-men. Matt is skilled enough he will play the role the team needs on a given night to HELP HIS TEAM WIN. If he isn't scoring, he is agitating. That is why his teammates love the guy.

WALT has been Keith’s nickname since Malden Catholic. Missed half his senior year still had 20 G’s and drafted in the 1st. I was a FR when he was a SR in HS, once watched him smash 24 beers in a couple hrs at a party. LEGEND. He grew up watching Neely, but he’s up there as the best Power Forward in NHL history.

The way his leg came up was pretty fishy, doesn't seem natural for your legs to be that far split as your trying to stop. Im trying to imagine skating into the boards like that, it doesn't make sense to me
I wish the Canucks drafted Matthew Tkachuk. Seeing him devastated this year sitting in the press box as the Flames got eliminated, shows that this guy has a lot of heart. He wishes he could be there and battle with his guys. That's the type of character player every team wants.

I live less than a mile from the Barn that Whit built: The Mohegan Sun Arena in Wilkes-Barre Township! Every day I pass it going to work and think to myself "When are the boys from Chiclets going to make a trip to Wilkes-Barre to do an episode here paying respect to their roots?"

This is a horrible interview. Boys had a chance to talk to a 2-generational hockey family. They talk on-ice, money and their appearance to the fans. And the Tkachuk's family shields are up. They are a family, talk about growing up. Some stories. Get the deep answers. And....I grew up with 2 guys who made the show. Their dads were hard asses. But that is why they made the show. Keith is a hard ass.
