- Five tips for hunting turkey on public land. This video focuses on hunting large tracts of mountain land in the east and ways to help you be successful on getting a gobbler in the spring.
Here in Arizona, public land is just about all we have. Definitely will be using your tips. Thanks for the info.
You're welcome
Thanks for the advice Sean, my first Turkey hunt ever in a couple of weeks on public land and I am psyched. May Father continue to bless and keep you and yours.
Thanks, brother. Blessings on your hunt. And may God bless you and yours as well.
Thank you Sean, #4 is my go-to when I am struggling to get it done with calling. I try to be in a feeding area or travel corridor.
Awesome. Best of luck to you out there.
I'm hunting public land for first tommorow morn. Wish me luck!!
Be safe, God bless you

You are welcome. God bless ya.
Great tips. I'm in MD and really don't have any private places I can hunt. Public seems to be my only options so I'm definitely going to employ some of these tips if not all. Thanks Sean!
Sounds good, Chris. Also, I will add that you can open the season with more intense and raspy calls, but after the birds get too much pressure, then switch to softer calls as I talked about in the video.
Im in Maine and season opens the 31st.. heard bow hunting much more mellow w/ less people around ... still need to find some birds tho! Thanks Sean great quick vid
Sure thing. Thanks and good luck!
I think your " Hunt them like a deer" tip is spot on, I've killed a lot of birds like that, it's not as exciting but alot of times they'll come in silent and not gobble even once, especially an old boss gobbler that's heard it all and seen it all. Great tips god bless!
Thanks so much, Craig! God bless ya.
Praise God is right man! Good stuff. Good luck out there and God bless!
Thanks, you too, God bless you!
Very informative, Sean. You could come down to South Carolina and I would show you some public land that I hunt. There are turkey, but they seldom at all respond to calling. Good tips.
Thanks, brother! Maybe some day I will get down there. I'd hunt them like deer if I were you, then. God bless ya.
Good stuff here man!
Thanks
Really excited to take up Turkey Hunting next year!!!
Awesome! Best of luck with it!
Nice video and great tips Sean! I’m hunting spring turkey 🦃 this year on private land. Much too dangerous on public land. Hunt safe brother.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐.....😎 Good tips Sean!
Thanks turkey slayer. God bless ya
Thanks for the info! Do you think those birds stayed on that ridge moving across it one way or another because those hunters on either side were calling too much?
All of the guys were at the bottom of the ridge until after I spooked the birds. The birds then started moving down the other side of the ridge and periodically gobbling as they went, which is when the one guy raced down to get ahead of the direction they were going.
Turkeys are not call shy in my opinion they are people shy I always say
Okay Marty
I have never turkey hunted in my life and I would like to try it , but I'd like to know from you what is your suggested starting gear and method of turkey hunting as far as locating a bird , how long to sit and things like that.
I'll try to make some more videos if I can find some time to do so. God bless you
Does it work for Midwestern states like Iowa or Illinois
Sure
Wear orange on public land .for sure when moving
That is a legal requirement in some states
Do you bowhunt for turkeys?
Yes.
