How am i getting so lucky that i found your vidoe with that exact yarn im struggling with. Your a life saver! Thankyou for the vidoe your such a good teacher.
When you make a blanket - do you take out a chain & SC for every color set? I’m have pulled it out multiple times and can’t seem to get it right 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️
Can you do a video on planned pooling in the color Stillwater in a half double crochet for a baby blanket ,so I can follow along to get me started. Thanks!
Hi Marley my mom got me a red heart pooling yarn, I manly loom knit and only know how to double crochet. if I loom knit a hat with just the pooling yarn will the argyle show on the hat? if I crochet a granny square blanket with just the double crochet stich will the argyle patten show in the blanket without doing the pooling stitches? Have a great day Rachel
This is beautiful! I am amazed. You have talent beyond...its so confusing to me 🙄 but I am determined to get it. 💗 Thank you for all you beautiful tutorials.
In the video you mention that a list of pooling yarn is below, but I only find a link to RH Pooling yarn. The Zebra yarn you use isn't Pooling yarn. Is there a list where all the RH yarns that can be pooled are listed?
You are the best!!! I can't wait for do this!!! I get my yarn in this color and another 3 different is so awesome and I can understand you so well and sorry for my bad English I'm Mexican xoxo Marly
Just came across your videos. I'm excited to learn color pooling!!!! Everything is beautiful- better & easier to make than old argyle patterns. A great big THANK you. Your tutorial is spot on, very easy to understand God bless you from grandma Katie in Oregon
Hi Marly. I love your planned pooling videos. You do such a good job of trying to explain and demystify the process. Thank you. My one question: Does planned pooling only work, or work best, with SuperSaver? Have you tried self-striping yarns? Thank you.
Marley, Marley!! How do YOU make your Red heart yarn creations soft. Just regular well priced yarn. It's what I can afford but it's not the softest at purchase. There must be something.
Lynda Thomas I let my Red Heart yarn sit in my yarn bin for a bit before using or after you’re done you’re project you can machine wash and dry following the directions on the label.
Hi I know this is a year old but I'm bored. So was looking through your play list. I found this planned pooling blanket. Its REALLY nice and would love to try it. But have one major problem I knit only. Is there a way to do planned pooling for knitters. I looked on you tube and all I see is crochet.
I've done it by accident, a few years ago it was a huge no no in the knitting world if your work pooled. I used a multi color yarn and the front of my son's sweater looked like argyle. Everyone thought I did it on purpose but it was pure accident.
I've always loved the pooling look. Your videos are wonderful! Unfortunately I have become allergic to some of Red Heart's colors (especially cherry red) and have given every last skein away. Not sure if it's their dye or my body that changed. 🙁 Thank you for giving us new ideas and techniques.
HawkyPlays 1. Hope and pray that the 2nd(3rd,4th,...) skein color sequence starts very close to where you're ending so that you don't have to frog too much or waste more than a yard of yarn. 2. Hope and pray that the factory didn't have a brain fart and wind one or another of the skeins backwards from what you've already worked. 😂 3. (For serious now) Match the new and old tails' color sequences as close as possible... At the end of the row would probably be the easiest place to change strands, but it can be done in the middle of the row in your preferred adding method. I personally would probably just tie the strands together at the closest full ending color, but a lot of people don't like actual knots in their work. My second preferred option would be "changing colors" on the last step of a full sc stitch. You could also try a Russian join, but I would be wary of maintaining the color sequence length of it's not joined *just right*.
Just bought haute and I'm disapointed as the red is faded and not consistently the same also the length is not like its supposed to be some legs are muddy even using a smaller hook I like the super saver more.
I just bought this yarn and noticed one color is much longer than the rest how do you still get 3 stitches? Never mind it was two very similar shades of purple next to each other 😂
Bonjour je voudrais bien comprendre comment il faut commancer. . Dommage qu'il n' y est pas des plications écrites . Surtout en chiffre se qui nous permettais de comprendre . Merci pour ta réponse . Carole Chaillet.
JENNIFER on fiberflux actually shows very good tutorials but you dont you talk too much and your work is too far for the eye to see. Please change the way you teach.
This is the first time I've seen this technique, and your knitting is beautiful. Leave it to Marly to make something amazing.
What do you do with the rest of the chain stitches.
How am i getting so lucky that i found your vidoe with that exact yarn im struggling with. Your a life saver! Thankyou for the vidoe your such a good teacher.
Glad I could help!
Wow!! I've been trying and trying but I'm going to go out and get that red heart pooling yarn and try it out. Thank you for the tutorial. 💕
That is beautiful. I want to learn this so so bad.
Can this be done on a loom? I love this look but don’t have the dexterity to crochet after my stroke

This could be a no-brainer to you, but how do you add a new skein of yarn?
Excellent video!

What do i do with the extra chain stitches when i’m done?
Undo them and secure the ends.
I don't see the link you said you'd put in the description box.

The link to your other plan pooling isn't listed below. Now I have to search for it amounst the thousands...
Do you have to have a pattern in pooling yarn?
You can use any yarn that pools :)

Some striping Yarns work but most have color lengths that are too long.
Marly are you using the hook size suggested on the band?

How many balls of yarn for this afgan?
I for the life of me cannot get this can you please start a video from scratch to to finish. I’ve tried multiple times and it’s not working
Natalia planned pooling argyle
Marly
Do you have any patterns that would work with Yarn Bee Sugarwheel??
Thanks!
I'm a little thick-headed sequences at 3 understand that okay so if the purple makes six stitches is that the same thing you're saying
Is this pooling technique just for crochet? ...or is there a method for knitting too?
Knitters can do it too. It’s not quite as crisp as crochet but you can see the pooling

Can you color pool using half double crochet stitches only?
Sure, you can use the stitch of your choice.
What about if you run out of yarn? How do you join the yarn?

I have problem with adding a new yarn, same colors and order but the colors are a different length than the one before
I would love to make a blanket with the planned pooling.
Hi..will any multi colored yarn work?
No. It must have a defined color sequence.
Thanks beautiful.
This is pretty but too complicated and time consuming, but if I ever try it your videos are the best on explaining it.
Hard time getting this 😢
@marlybird what hook size did u use??? Thx
You use the hook that allows you to get the gauge of 3 sc using the moss stitch.
Just bought haute and I'm disapointed as the red is faded and not consistently the same also the length is not like its supposed to be some legs are muddy even using a smaller hook I like the super saver more.

Hello Marly have you done a video for making an afghan from a picture, I have a photo of family members that i would like to make into an afghan.
I don’t understand why your chain is so long and your adding rows with a chain tail if that makes sense?
