@@MetaStarVA Right, it's been live for days now but the original comment is still accurate, it was completed so fast!! Stretch goals are LIVE NOW, SEND MATTHEW THE BIG BUCKS so we all get the best book possible
Same! I’ve wanted one for YEARS, and I was REALLY disappointed when I found out they weren’t sold anymore, since I LOVE Dedede and it looked really cute!
Man.... Another book for my already complete collection of volumes 1,2 & 3 plus Waaluigi in the family hardcover ... Sign me up! can't believe it's been 10 years! Crazy! Still making dubs of your comics strips too! Love em!
need to think it over. after shipping and import prices itll probably be around 300ish for me (I live in Ireland) but also this webcomic means a lot to me. I missed out on the original hardcovers the first time around because I was a kid. I even took my chosen name (Adeline) from your depiction of the kirby character. I'll have to sleep on it
I was in a similar boat (UK), but I made the big purchase with the thought process of, “This is the last chance. If I don’t get it now, I’ll probably regret it later.”. Not to try and force your decision, just offering my opinion. ~:D
It's already very pricey for American fans, I can't imagine the prices out across the world! I sympathize. Choose the tier that works best for you. I wish the shipping situation was much better than it is, it's an issue for many things I hear
Man, a decade since it all ended already? Well, this is certainly a great way to commemorate the occasion! Plus, I definitely want to get my hands on one o' them Dededolls. Hopefully I can snag one before the campaign ends!
My wife bought me one of your plush King Dededes many years ago at a convention where I think you were working in the artist alley/dealers room, and he's been a resident in our home ever since! He's currently nestled under our Christmas tree to keep the goodies _all for himself_, err, I mean *safe*. He's adorable! I hope you smash all the goals and everybody gets one.
Heck yea! I remember discovering BitF around 2012 and being psyched to find a comic that was actively updating. Crazy that it’s been so long since it wrapped up.
Dededoll!!! I can't believe it's already been 10 years and I'm finally getting the plush of my dreams. I already made space on my shelf for him and the book!
0:33 the punch out one, is the joke the cheat code where doc louis gives mac a shoulder rub? …oh wait i forgot the wii version made it so that doc just eats a chocolate bar, eh, i was close.
Used to read these comics for years until they ended, genuinely so happy I never forgot about them. Thanks for the last hoorah for the best gaming webcomic, Matthew!!!

BOUGHT. If you're open to the idea, I'd kill for some of the other classic merchandise to be made as Kickstarter goals. My favorite was always the deck of cards.
The Big Question: What about the Musical Comics? Short Version: Please include full printings of the musical comics in this collection, it won't truly feel like a complete and 'ultimate' collection if the musical comics aren't included but are once again reduced to mere QR codes. Long Version: You note on the Kickstarter page that due to not really being able to host the old comics for free, you don't know how much longer people might be able to read those old comics online as originally presented. You also note here that this is a 'last big sendoff'. With that in mind, I also know that with the original Brawl in the Family physical releases, they didn't include the musical comics (which were printed in comic form online during the original run but also given a RUclips Treatment), but just a QR code to a specific link, which in my personal opinion feels like a major glaring omission to otherwise great volumes. What I'm wondering, then, is if there is any possibility at all that the new Ultimate Brawl in the Family collection could include genuine printings of the musical comics both so they can be properly included and in order to 'future-proof' those musical comics against any possibility of anything going wrong with the RUclips video/link and risking those comics getting lost themselves? If that's not possible for some reason, then could you potentially consider a future project of releasing the musical comics as their own collection? It just feels like a shame that, when you have all the rest of the comic material available in a way that can last beyond those digital limitations that the musical comics - one of the outstanding unique elements of BitF - is both currently isolated from the rest of the run and at risk of being 'lost' to readers. You could potentially even throw in sheet music for extra fun if you did it that way!
The site will be preserved on the Wayback Machine and the Internet Archive as a whole and elsewhere he said he's looking to see if he can get a new host, not sure how that will turn out, but yeah good idea all around. Looks like he only wants free site hosting or maybe something cheap, I'm speculating
Good comments and I will consider it. I did fully display the art of the ones that were originally in "comic form" (like How the King Stole Christmas, Ice World, etc) but the videos were the ones with links and QR codes. Part of this was because of space limitations at the time, but there was also the question of how to convey some of them without feeling strange or taking up a disproportionately large section of the book (for instance, If It Takes a Lifetime, which has a lot of repeating frames). But another problem would be that I no longer have the original files/art to some of these videos, so it'd be more difficult extracting all the images. So I'll have to think about how feasible it would be.
Brawl in the Family is now a beloved childhood memory. Reading the comic really helped me get through my high school years, no joke. Wonderful to see things like this still being made! Thanks for the great laughs!
By the way, with the website shutting down(DAMN YOU KEENSPOT) and the content exclusive to these books being nowhere on the internet(and the books not being on the Amazon E-book store despite it literally costing $0 TO DO), this content might become lost media. Seriously, if no one on the internet preserves this when it comes out November 2025, it may go away forever. My advice? Buy a copy(digital or physical) and SAVE THIS CONTENT FROM GOING THE WAY OF THE DINOSAUR! The campaign ends in mid-January, so do it now and do it quick!
"Get out your shotguns, because it won't stay dead!" HAHAHAHA
IT HASNT EVEN BEEN AN HOUR AND THE GOAL IS ALREADY COMPLETE GOD DAMN
It’s been live for a day or two? But yeah. It met its goal pretty quick after the history of Nintendo rerelease.
The kickstarter actually launched on the 13th! Tho it did complete it's goal within the first 30 hours or so of it launching lol
Nearly double the amount at that!

I can't believe it's been a decade...
Where has the time gone?
I don't like how time works :)
I do remember Brawl in the family, in fact I visited the site this week
I can’t believe this came out almost 20 years ago
I didn't even watch the video and I backed it already.
I wasn't able to buy the dededoll when it came out on account of me being 14 but you can bet your bottom that I won't miss it this time!
yesssssssss ive wanted a dededoll when i was younger but didnt have the money at time 😭😭now i can finally get my own
I'm eagerly anticipating my Dededoll. I was only aware of them after the prior runs for them ended.
Same! I’ve wanted one for YEARS, and I was REALLY disappointed when I found out they weren’t sold anymore, since I LOVE Dedede and it looked really cute!
I remember asking if Matthew was gonna bring these back and I also was curious about the playing cards, and he's bringing back both!!

Still have my doll and 3 book set with the Waluigi book too, but will chip in for the master book.

Don’t know if I should be excited for the book or upset that it’s been 10 years…
First option is better
Dedede's son returns!!! 🥳
It's back once more!
I just wanna thank you so much for this. Also I’m wondering if there is any new project you guys are working on
A couple, but it'll be a little while!

you legend, loved reading these comics back in the day. will definitely keep an eye on this
My youth....
I'll consider buying this!
Never had the original prints.
Your love for video games makes me smile! 😊
DEDEDOLL IS BACK!!!!!
Already supported, I only own the first volume and so Im glad to get the rest in print too! (Plus a Dedede Doll!)
Already have all three hardcovers from when the comic initially ended, but I’ve always really wanted a Dededoll so count me in
It'd be amazing to add to the digital version all of the videos in mp4 format
We're still here with you Matthew! After all these years, we're still here buddy... Shotgun or not XD.
I was literally thinking about the DeDeDolls the other day and how I missed the opportunity the first time.
I got an email a few days back, instantly got my book and deedeedoll
I dunno if I think could happen, but I'd love if the Ultimate Edition were to also include all the comics you made for Nintendo Force ^^
Cool! 😃

It’s a stretch goal already! 100k and the cards get added as an add on for all physical tiers
@c.m.654 YESSSSSSSS. I have the original but a few of the cards are damaged and missing.
Will it include that one rabbids comic you drew for 2pstart?
Yep! That was in the third volume and everything from the original volumes will be included.
I already pledged it for the royal bundle. Been waiting since smash 3ds was coming out for the dedede doll
God I remember watching these video of brawl in the family when I was younger
The memories…
I’m making sure to save up to be able to get all 3!!
Can I find this in my local bookstore?
This is so special ❤

I would like to get the PDFs for the 2 books, yeah I wouldn't get the Dededoll but I would get the 2 PDFs!
Bought mine before the original goal was cleared!
Nahhhh this is epic
I'll have to save til the last minute, since import taxes are extremely high in my country, I hope I can make it, was sad to not get the originals
I know what I'm asking for Xmas.
any reasons this wont include all the waluigi comics from too bad waluigi time?
