I came across Sina back at the beginning od Covid and was very impressed! She has a lot of drum covers on youTube and they are all great! This was an older video since she looks very young here. Great review as usual!
My brother played drums (and I played around on his kit when he wasn't home and of course thought I was great! LOL), this young lady is very talented and I enjoyed watching her playing to this great Toto classic! Thanks Jeff!
I stumbled across Sina's page during Covid and was hooked with her covers of music I grew up with. I think she was 16 when she did this. Now 22, she has gone to the traditional grip after attending Artez school. I also think she is one of the top viewed drummers on RUclips. I just love the way she seems to get lost in the music.
She recently posted a video explaining some serious health issues with her wrists that could have ended her career, and switching to traditional helped resolve that problem. She's an amazing musician and more incredible person! ruclips.net/video/4qKUboFQtGw/видео.htmlsi=ogAvG2EdBQYm7NXk
The "Porcaro Shuffle"! Good call on the ghost notes. They are very important in playing this properly. Sina does a good job on this one. Been watching her for a couple of years. She's got skills. 👍👍
Pro fusion drummer here - really liked this reaction Jeff - so interesting & refreshing to see a young drummer play a gold standard - J. Porcaro & F. Beard's shuffles w/ZZ Top are among the best in history - shuffles are tricky, especially when blending elements of rock, jazz, funk, & ragtime/honky tonk into a beautiful fusion that Toto mastered their entire careers - I totally agree w/ your assessments regarding her snare ghosting technique - it was ok - but to nail it like JP, she needs more command there (lots of rudiment training will help this) - And I think S. Lukather is a legend - a top 5 for me for 'best-all-around' - really enjoyed this!
I have great admiration for her skill in doing this. There is not a single thing she was doing that I could ever hope to learn how to do, so there is no way I would begin to say anything negative about this. FWIW - this is one song I would love to hear Leonid & Friends cover.
Having played drums for over 20 years I know it when I see a good drummer. And Sina is a GREAT drummer. Also I know this is quite an old video. She was pretty young here. Makes it even more impressive. P.S And couldn’t agree MORE about Jeff Porcaro and Steve Lukather!
Jeff, I've Followed Sina for a few years. I think this "Cover" is about 4 years old when she was still young. The Best Sina I've seen is "Highway Star" by Deep Purple. She really shows her Speed and Stamina in that one. Jeff, Love your Reactions!

I have been following Sina for several years now. Love her covers and her originals.
Awesome review, as always! Thank you so much! 🩷
Enjoyed this. Toto's music is just so good. She was great.😊

She is so solid. Solid feel. So impressed. I did hear the ghosting. Great restraint and control. So young.

One of the best female drummers out there! 😊 Top notch 👍

Salutări din România ! Dintre multele melodii românești, v-aș sugera unul : " Au înnebunit salcâmii " , cântată de Tudor Gheorghe 👍😊🙋🇷🇴
