So is PTK its own martial art which is good enough for actual self defense on its own and complete? Or is it simply an add on art to something else like a Taekwondo guy or a Judo guy as it needs the striking or grappling arts with it to work well?
Great weapon art. Okay empty hand striking if you train under pekiti tirsia tactical association. Grappling not so good. Self defense wise, you can probably get away with Pekiti Tirsia and functional grappling art like BJJ, Sombo, Catch Wrestling, etc
@@MaharlikaAWAthe PTTA emphasizes the need for good striking and grappling. Pekiti University covers a base line for empty hand striking, with the understanding that online classes can’t replace in person training. Quite a few PTK practitioners in the pekiti tactical association teach or train Muay Thai/boxing and some form of grappling. So when they teach PTK, the empty hands and grappling come from a more practical lens.
Is Pekiti Tirsia Kali effective and efficient to defend against unpredictable and dirty street fights? Because on the street you have to be violent, dishonest, practical, real and brutal.
