I SO really miss Norm, Patrice & Greg, man. Them three lost battle with disease and were for real, very singular blokes each one off them. Smart, sensitive, deep, quick witted, self made in terms style as comics. Each one of them, a one in a billion. God damn it, RIP the three off them. God bless You all.
Greg Giraldo was the Grand Master of roasts. He was a genius of a comedian and one of the more intelligent comedians we have ever had. Gone too early. An absolute Legend.
You can legitimately hear pain in Burr's voice when he first starts talking about Giraldo. And then he starts actually remembering him, and his face and voice get lighter and happier. That's a true fucking friend, people.
You can also see, and hear, his frustration with Bert. Bill is being nice here for some reason. Bert's big red bloated ass is just a useless alcoholic that still tries to act like a frat boy. Bert's wife and kids live with a giant toddler. I'm not sure why Bill didn't rip into him and shut this shit show down. Maybe there's still a tiny amount of respect hanging around from the old days. Burr did not like Bert's ass kissing attempts either.
Greg would be where burr is now if not for addiction. Tip of the spear comics imo. Along with dipaolo and Quinn. Bottom line addiction does not discriminate. If you have millions in the bank or sleeping under a bridge it’s All the same ending.
The role of "luck" in life. In every profession, there are those you look at and say, "How tf did YOU make it?" Conversely, there are those you look at and say, "How is this person not SUPER successful?" In comedy, Greg Giraldo and Patrice O'Neal jump off the page. Both of them had comedic sensibilities that just spoke to the core of my soul.
Yep. The clip of Geraldo destroying Dennis Leary on Colin Quinn’s show and saying something like “I always show up prepared” will always stick with me.
@@tigerbait2617 Leary: this guy writes so many jokes it’s not even funny” Giraldo “yeah, I’m a comedy writer. That’s what we do here. Maybe if you had tried a little joke writing, your show would still be on the air” (it’s made even better by the fact that Leary notoriously stole material from Bill Hicks)
I wish they’d do another podcast. As much shit as Bert gets he really loves comedy and he’s such a fan of bill and he literally was listening like the rest of us while bill talked about Greg.
Comics, “with silly hats and catch phrases…” Billy Burr with the gut shot to a comedian that has to, take off his shirt & tell the machine story every time. Funny thing is Bert is too wet brained to comprehend. R.I.P. Greg Geraldo - the brilliant ones never last.
except for missing the fact that bill burr just told him he "didnt" party with giraldo, and bert immediately follows that with asking him about partying with him?
Look bert is a horrible listener but your quite literally watching him listening to someone intently only interjecting when he needed to to get bill burr to open up more
@@itsmefrisco yea Bert seems like a nice guy but I think he knows himself he is no where near their levels and never will be. He got lucky and while he doesn’t say that u can tell he knows that. I respect at least he doesn’t try to put himself in the same conversation as them
R.I.P Greg and Norm. 2 absolute legends.
Patrice and Otto too

Agreed, thought for sure I had Patrice in my comment, must have been another vid I commented on, legend.
Greg will forever be my favorite comedian honestly.
@DannyDeVito Bill is just killing harder and harder now. They're both Rushmore-level however.
Mine, too.

I wish Greg was around in this podcast era
One of the Greats.
R.I.P. Greg

For someone with anger issues Bill had a lot of friends
From what I’ve seen, Burr knows how to direct his anger.

Bert falls under that first category

Those two were legends. They just never made into the podcast era. RIP to the greats
Finally an actual video!!!
wow, Bert quiet for once and letting someone talk for a minute. Lol, love him though.
A great character is one that can drop itself in important times
Greg was the best!
Greg was the best. Miss him so much.
I always thought Greg was the new Carlin.
I wish they’d do another podcast. As much shit as Bert gets he really loves comedy and he’s such a fan of bill and he literally was listening like the rest of us while bill talked about Greg.
This is the best video.
Comics, “with silly hats and catch phrases…”
Billy Burr with the gut shot to a comedian that has to, take off his shirt & tell the machine story every time.
Funny thing is Bert is too wet brained to comprehend.
R.I.P. Greg Geraldo - the brilliant ones never last.
BILL: Me, Greg and Jim were on the road, we all came up together. . JUST NAMED MY 3 FAVORITE COMICS. . . .
Podcast Gold! Greg is top 10 dead or alive.
Bert's an overall great listener
except for missing the fact that bill burr just told him he "didnt" party with giraldo, and bert immediately follows that with asking him about partying with him?
"I never partied with him, I drank with him though."
"So when you partied with him..." good God kreicher is annoying
Remember when Bert and bill had a pod and they canceled it out of nowhere
Damn at 5:26 I started tryin to flick up the “Editors’ Picks”.
I didn’t notice that until we’ll after I posted this video. I was so mad!
The first one and a half minutes of this is definitely a video, I can vouch for that.
Has Bert ever actually listened to what someone just said?
Look bert is a horrible listener but your quite literally watching him listening to someone intently only interjecting when he needed to to get bill burr to open up more
@@Spaceghost5446 still seemed like he never shut up
well, one thing is for certain. this is definitely a video
It's too bad Bert pissed a lot of people off, including Bill. The relationship isn't the same.
Greg giraldo is gone and bert kresicher still performs this world is unjust.
I miss those 2010 days man
Kreischer is all pp and moon time jokes.
This is a mild video
This is a video.
I have no opinion on this video at all.
These guys are so much less talented than Giraldo yet making so much more money.
Bill Burr is definitely as talented as Giraldo in his own way. Watch their old Tough Crowd appearances. Both guys are great
@@Joee1257 I was mainly referring to Kreischer. Bill Burr is funny.
@@itsmefrisco agreed 100%
