It can be a challenge to see your controller screen when flying your drone on a sunny day. Even with the newer DJI RC controllers, the sun can wash out your view. These sunhoods are custom built to help with that by providing the right amount of shade for flying. They also fold closed to protect your screen and joysticks on your controller. I just bought one of these from Rick for my new RC2. It fits close enough to the controller that I can still put the controller in the hard case with the foam cut out. I really like not having to worry about taking the control sticks off when I close the hard case lid. So far, I am very pleased.
We really appreciate your business and I agree that the cover is a great accessory. It provides protection for the screen and the sun and allows you to keep the joysticks on the controller. Keep an eye on the channel as we’ll be releasing another Drone Valley accessory you might like. It’s a custom cable that allows you to share the screen with an external monitor or display while flying. We’ve been working on it’s since Christmas and I expect the production ones to arrive in a week or so.
They are awesome and I think would do an excellent job. Yeah, I like your products Rick. In fact, I got two pairs of your drone Valley microphones, because the first set my wife bought me. I and left them by accident in my brother's house in Florida. When I asked about them he didn't have any idea of what I was talking about, and never found them. So I ended up buying another set not that long ago.

Excellent controller sun shade covers. I have an older controller, Smart Controller RM 500, for the DJI Mavic 2 Pro. Do you have a sun shade cover for it?
It might not fit in my case, but if it doesn't. The thumb screws are easy enough to remove the cover. I'm always looking for that shady spot.
I wish you had a hard case for the mini 3 pro that can be use with the sun hood on. Any recommendations?
Can you adjust the antennas on the rc2 at any angle possible, while having the hood installed?
DJI provided a case but may not have thought of the case being the right size to accommodate the extra bulk of the sunshield. Now I need to buy another case. Is this so?

Rick I'm here to support you by buying 2 Sun hoods for the RC1 controller. You have 2 different links. It's the same Item but you have one at a price of $13.95 and another at $14.95. I understand that the higher price is prime with next day shipping, and free returns. I bought 2 at the 13.95 as I'm in no rush to get it. I guessing that is also free returns. Thanks.

Do you have one for the RCN1 that is flat without the stick bumps so it will fit in the original air2s bag
Chris, thanks for the post and the only ones we carry have the bulge on the top to protect the joysticks. The other challenge is the way they mount, they cover the joystick storage portion of the controller on the back. I leave the joysticks on and these fold up very thin and can fit most cases.

Does the cover work if you are using an iPad?
The cover mounts to the top of the clamp on the DJI RC1/RC2 and covers the phone. It may be too small for a larger tablet to provide any shade.
Does the DJI RC-N1 / RC-N2 block any signal at all?
Tom, thanks for the post and the sunhood is technically "invisible" to the radio signals since it's plastic. No issues at all with impacting the operation of the controller.
Ok, there’s a note that the it fits only the “original” RC2 for the mini 4. What does that even mean? I just purchased a mini4 with rc2, is that Sun screen going to work? Is the current rc2 different than the original rc2?
Scott, sorry for any confusion. We have 2 models for the DJI RC. The original RC and the newer RC2. If you're flying the Mini 4 Pro, you'll want the RC2 version and it'll fit perfect. Thanks, Rick
