In hero hunt there's an odd glitch. If you kill the hero or villain but you get killed in the process, you don't get to be the hero or villain and someone else does. The next part of this glitch requires explanation. Let's say you kill Han Solo but you get killed, it skips over Leia and whoever gets to play the hero becomes Luke. That's something that needs improving!

I completely agree with the hero hunt tweak. I was so excited to play it, and after one game I was completely turned off by it. I would do a ton of damage to most heroes throughout the round, just for someone to throw a random (spam) grenade(s) and get the final hit. It was incredibly frustrating to do so much work and get nothing for it. Luckily I started the round as a hero so I was actually able to experience playing a hero in this game type, or else I would rarely, if ever, get to. The other gametypes are much more fun, so I doubt I'll be coming back to this one unless they fix it.

The left and right spawns is a good shout. I've been on some games where a large part of the team gets stuck on one side and can't cross to the objective on the other without getting blasted by AT-ATs.
In hero hunt I killed the hero two rounds in a row, but I had used explosives and that resulted in an accidental suicide bombing both times, and it doesn't let you be the hero if you die.
Also on PS4 when using an At-St you have to click AND HOLD the sprint button to sprint, which really hurts your fingers and wears at your controller, instead of just clicking once to start sprinting like with infantry controls.
Palpatine is op on hero hunt. When he's in a tight corridor and he pops his chain lightning ability, death and destruction follows for the entire team, regardless of where they are. One time, he was on a walkway directly above me and he used the ability on someone that was right next to him and the Lightning traveled through the floor and killed me. Also, a few more maps for walker assault would be just dandy.
First person perspective for heroes/villains would be awesome too. Especially if they put detail on the inside of Vader's helmet with a breathing regulation bar and just general cybernetic things
Grenade spam is a big problem in A LOT of shooters ive played, typically they give you far too many starting frags that then replenish themselves on respawn. Usually this leads to players simply rallying off all their frags at once shortly after re-spawn resulting in this consecutive explosive wave that continuously rolls through any objective based game mode
Just put the grenade cards on the same cooldown, so taking them together lets you pick what style of nade to use the cooldown but having the option of one or the other is still there. Fixes the spam problem, doesn't limit gameplay choice.
The partner system definitely needs some work. We have discovered that (on PS4) if you partner up before you join a match it makes things much more enjoyable. Getting everyone on the same side can be a bit laborious. They should have a party join, similar to squad join in BF4.
Haven't had a chance to play yet so don't know if this is included or not. On the Co-op missions, I liked the ability to join with any random person if a friend is not available. I also think there should be a bonus for accuracy added to your shots if you are standing still crouch and/or aiming through a scope (1st person). Particular to offset the advantages of playing 3rd person.
The grenade recharge should be universal, so after throwing a grenade, it has to recharge fully before you can another, even if it's a different grenade.
Hero hunt is fun but as jackfrags said it's so annoying when you are the one putting the most damage on the hero but somebody else pops the last shot at the last second and your screwed. They really need to change that.
I have a good idea to balance out the Ion torpedo : make it like the MBT LAW in BF4 for ground targets. The rocket is not locked, but if you shoot it near enough to a vehicle it will auto correct the trajectory. This way it would still be very useful at closer ranges, but harder to hit at long ranges.
DICE please! I agree with all of these. Couple others I think should be addressed: Flight controls. I plug a controller in to my PC for flying, and while the jump between keyboard/mouse to controller is near seamless, there is not customization for the flight control other than two pre-programmed controller setups. Heroes vs. Villains needs better character rotation. I played two rounds yesterday where every time I was a hero I was Leia and another round where I only got to play as a hero one time.
Jack, For Flying on PC :) The game allows you to switch Instantly from mouse and keyboard to controller instantly without going into the settings. I have my controller connected to my pc. I play the game with mouse and keyboard but as soon as i get into a vehicle I pick up my controller next to me and the game automatically switches to controller once i press a button.
I'm playing this game on PC; and I'm finding it much easier to fly when I plug in my 360 contoller. Also--when you use a controller for flying, it effectively gives you three different sensitivity levels (because there is a separate adjustment for the controller sensitivity). One level for M/KB infantry, one level for M/KB vehicles (turrets), and one just for flying (controller). FUN GAME : )
JackFrags, towards your vehicle control idea you placed in your video: an alternate idea. EA/DICE for PC gamers who use controllers like the XBox 360 Controller for Windows such as I (for games usually like Strider, Gauntlet or Tomb Raider). What EA/DICE should do is when you have both keyboard/mouse and gamepad controller in your system simultaneously is create a game engine switch where when you're on the ground, keyboard/mouse is active, gamepad isn't. When you're in a vehicle gamepad goes live, keyboard/mouse turns off. As you go from one to the other the game will auto-switch between control schemes seamlessly.
The ability to choose from any of your preset sets instead of just two. This prevents from playing a class style or choosing the correct kit for any situation. Also the ability to change skin upon re-spawn.
There is gonna be 4 more expansions (regarding the level problem) and each will most likely add one map or maybe more and I think that that's why this problem hasn't been messed with.
the regular hero system is kinda weird now cuz you are able to get the hero token and if you're a good enough player, you can literally have the hero the entire game because there is no timer system. this happened with my friend who was the only one to play as the hero because he didnt die as boba fett. idk how this would be balanced but i think it poses an issue.
No joke I had a dream a few days ago about SWBF and in it we were playing on a map that looked like a cave system+crypt from Skyrim and I got to be a hero and I could pick from anyone...including John Cena...yeah I ended up picking Darth Vader, also each hero had different loadouts in away...future DLC? The big problems are like jack said the explosive spam, bullshit like the homing shot, the reach of the ion torpedo and the spawn system of the rebell side . we can just wait for a patch (even if the thought of a patch from dice is scary)
Dude, imagine if they made a map like interstellars water world. You have AT's marching through this huge map of ocean, rocks, and crashed star destroyers. Also, imagine seeing and controlling a star destroyer rising from the sea, like star trek did. IT could be a end game event. Dice could be doing so much more.
One thing I think they should change with hero hunt is make it where leia and Palpatine can't heal themselves, they could change it where that ability instantly cools down there other abilities, excluding the a ability itself.
Hopefully they will add a Jabba/Han Death Map with all the cruisers and speeders by the Sarlack pit-How awesome was that scene in the film. Another cool few maps could be on Bespin/Coudcity. Also I feel like this game could do a map on and near the Yavin Bases and maybe even a map on Dagobah. So much content from the originals
I would love to see something like Galactic Conquest from Battlefront 2 and maybe Cloud City, And Death Star? It would be soo dope if there was a game mode exclusive to the Death Star, like maybe Death Star Assault where the revels had to get past waves of tie fighters to try and get into the death star and capture control points
If you have a controller plugged in to your PC at all times then flying isn't an issue anymore, you can quickly swap between Keyboard + Mouse and Controller without any problems. I do it in Battlefield 4 as well and it works a treat. Never understood how people can comfortably control vehicles with a Keyboard + Mouse.
With hero mode I have an idea. It's round based, so just make so EVERYONE plays as the hero/villain once. The one with the most kills at the end of all 8 rounds, wins.
I think the rebel ships need some tweaking seems like the A-Wing is too OP against the TIE or the Interceptor. I also feel like the Millennium Falcon and Slave I need some type of nerf. I find ramming to be a big issue especially from the rebel side. Another issue that i see is my character constantly getting stuck on terrain that looks like i should just be able to run over it.

I played it for a few hours last night and overall I was very happy compared to the beta. There was very little about the beta that I liked and almost didn't get it but being a huge Star Wars fan I had to and so far I like it. The one big issue I have is when trying to invite friends to join the game. They have it so friends that don't even own the game are listed and friends that do I can't get to on the invite screen through the game. They need to fix that asap as that was a big issue with many of my friends.

An issue that I had in the beta and that I still have now on ps4 is that my star cards will activate without me pressing the button for it. There were numerous times in the beta where I would be running to the next set of objectives and my shield would pop. This wasted my energy so when I actually needed it to retreat it was either in a cooldown or I ran out of energy. I noticed it with the heroes vs. villains game mode as well usually when I was playing as Han. I'd be thrown into a one on one with another hero, go to activate my rapid fire to find it was in a cooldown because the game for some reason decided it should activate when I was running down a hall way. Synopsis. The star cards on console will unnecessarily activate without entering an input
They shouldn't have completely neglected the prequels honestly. Even though the movies were subpar it would have offered some nice content.

JackFrags, towards your vehicle control idea you placed in your video: an alternate idea. EA/DICE for PC gamers who use controllers like the XBox 360 Controller for Windows such as I (for games usually like Strider, Gauntlet or Tomb Raider). What EA/DICE should do is when you have both keyboard/mouse and gamepad controller in your system simultaneously is create a game engine switch where when you're on the ground, keyboard/mouse is active, gamepad isn't. When you're in a vehicle gamepad goes live, keyboard/mouse turns off. As you go from one to the other the game will auto-switch between control schemes seamlessly.
The ability to choose from any of your preset sets instead of just two. This prevents from playing a class style or choosing the correct kit for any situation. Also the ability to change skin upon re-spawn.

There is gonna be 4 more expansions (regarding the level problem) and each will most likely add one map or maybe more and I think that that's why this problem hasn't been messed with.
Missed my #1 gripe, once one side dominates the air on wa, they have their way vs troops with little to take them out with
the regular hero system is kinda weird now cuz you are able to get the hero token and if you're a good enough player, you can literally have the hero the entire game because there is no timer system. this happened with my friend who was the only one to play as the hero because he didnt die as boba fett. idk how this would be balanced but i think it poses an issue.
No joke I had a dream a few days ago about SWBF and in it we were playing on a map that looked like a cave system+crypt from Skyrim and I got to be a hero and I could pick from anyone...including John Cena...yeah I ended up picking Darth Vader, also each hero had different loadouts in away...future DLC? But then I woke up

The big problems are like jack said the explosive spam, bullshit like the homing shot, the reach of the ion torpedo and the spawn system of the rebell side . we can just wait for a patch (even if the thought of a patch from dice is scary)
Dude, imagine if they made a map like interstellars water world. You have AT's marching through this huge map of ocean, rocks, and crashed star destroyers. Also, imagine seeing and controlling a star destroyer rising from the sea, like star trek did. IT could be a end game event. Dice could be doing so much more.
One thing I think they should change with hero hunt is make it where leia and Palpatine can't heal themselves, they could change it where that ability instantly cools down there other abilities, excluding the a ability itself.
Hopefully they will add a Jabba/Han Death Map with all the cruisers and speeders by the Sarlack pit-How awesome was that scene in the film. Another cool few maps could be on Bespin/Coudcity. Also I feel like this game could do a map on and near the Yavin Bases and maybe even a map on Dagobah. So much content from the originals
I would love to see something like Galactic Conquest from Battlefront 2 and maybe Cloud City, And Death Star?
It would be soo dope if there was a game mode exclusive to the Death Star, like maybe Death Star Assault where the revels had to get past waves of tie fighters to try and get into the death star and capture control points
If you have a controller plugged in to your PC at all times then flying isn't an issue anymore, you can quickly swap between Keyboard + Mouse and Controller without any problems. I do it in Battlefield 4 as well and it works a treat. Never understood how people can comfortably control vehicles with a Keyboard + Mouse.
With hero mode I have an idea. It's round based, so just make so EVERYONE plays as the hero/villain once.
The one with the most kills at the end of all 8 rounds, wins.

I think the rebel ships need some tweaking seems like the A-Wing is too OP against the TIE or the Interceptor. I also feel like the Millennium Falcon and Slave I need some type of nerf. I find ramming to be a big issue especially from the rebel side. Another issue that i see is my character constantly getting stuck on terrain that looks like i should just be able to run over it.

Very good video. Great info on this new game. I'm still hesitant on forking out over $100 for this game and Premium...may wait a bit and see how everything fleshes out for the next month or so.

I called it, grenade spam. Can't believe DICE didn't see this coming. Also the 3 round shot grenade launcher.
I played it for a few hours last night and overall I was very happy compared to the beta. There was very little about the beta that I liked and almost didn't get it but being a huge Star Wars fan I had to and so far I like it. The one big issue I have is when trying to invite friends to join the game. They have it so friends that don't even own the game are listed and friends that do I can't get to on the invite screen through the game. They need to fix that asap as that was a big issue with many of my friends.

An issue that I had in the beta and that I still have now on ps4 is that my star cards will activate without me pressing the button for it. There were numerous times in the beta where I would be running to the next set of objectives and my shield would pop. This wasted my energy so when I actually needed it to retreat it was either in a cooldown or I ran out of energy. I noticed it with the heroes vs. villains game mode as well usually when I was playing as Han. I'd be thrown into a one on one with another hero, go to activate my rapid fire to find it was in a cooldown because the game for some reason decided it should activate when I was running down a hall way.
Synopsis. The star cards on console will unnecessarily activate without entering an input
to deal with explosive spam, have a filter. one map with explosives, one with only gun play

I want a damn Walker Assault mode on Coruscant. It'd be the only urban environment in the game, plus the planet itself looks amazing.
