dang. i'm a dude from finland, a very small and cold backwoods country in northern europe, that hasn't heard a lick of bluegrass until i saw this video. now i want to get an acoustic and dive deep into it. this was single most awesome thing i've ever seen done on a guitar and you sir have very greatly inspired me as i am just about climbing out of that beginner phase of guitar playing gonna play the next 30 years straight to be as awesome player as you are. your skill is seriously inspiring, thank you for that. you've gained a fan for sure! cheers mate, hope you're well.
Marcel is to Bluegrass what Steve Jobs was to the personal computer: He's incredibly brilliant, in his own rights, but has the skills to uncover genius and make it work for the masses. Marcel you are a different human...rare!!!
"It's not the [strings] you play, it's the [strings] you don't play..." As hilarious as this looks it actually seems like a phenomenal practice idea. 😂
This isn't fair! The one interview you did with him where he was like, "Yeah I guess I play CAGED" and acting like he accidentally can play the guitar, and then does this. I think you have come up with a new game here that I think ALL PLAYERS need to go through. Can Jake be knocked off the mountain this just put him on? Dude is a LEGEND!
I would do this all the time practicing, lean a little Diddy and try to play it all on 1 string, it's what I do to practice, but I suck at putting songs together so I'm a riff guy...
is it just me or is it not hard until you get to one string...we only jump from one string to the next so any more than two strings is irrelevant. unless you finger pick 3 strings at a time like banjo claw....as if he would not keep going even if it was less melodic and pleasing...if anything it forces unique ideas to get around the lack of options. cool video it gave me an idea to have six players with one string each to do a song sounding as close to one guitar as possible! try that one next!
This was fun. Thanks Marcel.
P.S. - my chord was missing the 5th. ;)

"Unfortunately we've had to disqualify your entry as there's no money past the 5th fret"
Not only was he able to continually play the tune but his renditions were melodically interesting variations!
I was thinking the same. That kind of improv would have been impressive to me even with all the strings on the whole time!
That's a man who knows his fretboard!
That was absurd. Unbelievable musicianship. Well done
LEGEND! That was one of the most impressive things I've ever seen a musician do.
What a challenge! He was excellent.

When he goes back to do another chorus on the three string version… whoa. He’s having FUN!
Just amazing.
Each break just gets better, this is awesome
I have watched this so many times now. Incredibly impressive and just cool
I just do not understand how this was possible. Jake Eddy, you're a phenomenon.
Huh? Lol you don't understand a basic scale on one string?
@@alan4sure He's not quite sticking to a scale! 😂
"It's not the [strings] you play, it's the [strings] you don't play..."

Thoroughly enjoyed watching this. Jake is unreal! Thank you!
Best video in a long time omg. I laughed when you did, marcel. 😂❤️
Hello Marcel , glad to see you again. 👍
Somehow, the two-string version is maybe my favorite. He was just getting warmed up on the others.

This was a joy to watch!
That's insane that he was able to play such a complex melody like that on one and two strings.
Jake Eddy is so cool
yeah
This just blew my mind. Wow
Dude, WTAF! Master at work right here!
I enjoyed that way too much! Was literally howling laughing 😂😂😂
I just love learning stuff here 😊
That was fretboard knowledge at its best!
Some mighty fine picking!
This was awesome
This was so enjoyable!
This deserves a big thumbs up imo 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Just amazing!!!!
Awesome
This was great! 😂
Absolutely remarkable. I began studying the Cuban tres a few years back, and just cutting out three strings threw my brain for a loop.
Amazing
This made me think of "Brushy" too... I guess you can do more with LESS! Love yer channel Man!🎵🎶🔥🔥🎶🎵
Wow. That was beyond impressive! I have a new Guitar Hero!
Damn, Jake! Hell yeah
"Oh, was that it?"
Wow!
Still don't believe in Aliens? They've landed and decided Bluegrass is the universal language
its nice to see he actually messes up eventually haha he is so good though ! glad i learned about him !
And for Jake’s next act…he will demonstrate the three finger roll on the one string banjo with the tune Turkey in the Straw! Impressive work👍
Now it's your turn Marcus!
he's one of those guys who walks into a store, picks up a cheap 5.00 plastic guitar and makes it sound like heaven!
Absolutely unbelievable. How is this possible?! It must have been the plant.
🤣🤣
the plant is the star of the video!
My ears can’t believe what my eyes are seeing 🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶😬
Hilarious, but all so discouraging, I can't play that well with all 6 strings
I heard tell bout brushy one string, I ain't never heard bout jake one string. But brushy definitely is sweating after this dropped.
too cool!...
That Doggone Jake can do it son. 🙌
Jake is a beast…
Winner gets a new set of strings.
I would do this all the time practicing, lean a little Diddy and try to play it all on 1 string, it's what I do to practice, but I suck at putting songs together so I'm a riff guy...
Isn’t Jake just brilliant 👌🤣
This is like something Roy Clark would have done on Hee Haw! 😂
Boss!!
Oh Boy !!!
You should what he can do with no strings.
You don’t see that everyday
Jake Eddy is a mf prodigy..no two ways about it

People make fun of "one string warriors", but...
I dont know if I should give my guitars away or practice more. I am such a loser
Jake is the best
Alota players couldnt have got past 1 string gone
JMFE
😂
WE'RE NOT WORTHY
Wow!
