Light Files entry 1: Mega Man Mega Man, formerly known as Rock, was one of the two original robot masters not kidnaped by Dr. Albert Wily when he betrayed his former partner. Originally a helper robot, he volunteered to save the other robot masters with an arm cannon, known as the Mega Buster, fitted with technology that would copy the technology in the other Robot Masters. He was also given a blaster that would not destroy his fellow Robot Masters, but still leave the, in a state that would allow Mega Man to bring them back to his creator, Dr. Thomas Light, so he could repair them and remove their brainwashing.

Ah, Powered Up. One of the few Mega Man games I've never played and still haven't to this day. If only it was released on Nintendo systems at the time... Good luck with this playthrough, Bean.
I'll use text on main informative runs, but I do put my voice on fan games, streams, and B-Sides of games (like Bass' run of MM&B). I know people want to hear the music more than someone chirping over it at times anyway. It's a good compromise. And thanks, by the way.
You play it as if you were playing it for the first time with all the cut scenes amd the final boss however if you play as one of the robot masters they will still have their normal versions without being able to use their abilities

They were added since the original only had 6 instead of 8. They change some parts of the weakness chart by oilman being the weakness of elecman, elecman the weakness of timeman, time man to gutsman, fireman to oilman,and bomb man to iceman. Oilman is weak but timeman was a great addition to the game
They were also created to be his surrogate children, since he is a single man. This is best reflected in his first major creation, Blues, an independent young robot with the mentality of a boy in his early teens.
@@ari-mariberry the only con that comes with being a mega man is that any, and i mean *any* surface that dares to be slightly sharp, immediately kills you.

God, the story is awful! ... Maybe I was just spoiled by the amazing writers from Archie comics.
MegaMan Power-Up did get a bad review.
I know I'm late to reply but I think Powered up was an interesting way to update the original for modern audiences
