so many conflicting statements on this song!! live or studio, studio or live.. Im so confused 😭 but I'll stick to my guns and finish the album before jumping to a live one
@@StonedChakra they're really different, and even in Maynard's opening monologue on the live version he talks about how they're trying something different with the track. The live version is definitely an experience, but the album version still carries greater weight for me, and I agree that it's probably better to hear the original before the "we're trying something new" version.
"It's like reading a story by rolling the dice and picking that chapter." - WELL SAID - that's exactly what's happening. If you go from the beginning of the catalogue to the end you hear Maynard's story of self actualization and growth. It's pretty powerful to witness. Take this song, this was written around the time he had his first child. And this song is about struggling to turn away from a version of himself he didn't think was good for his new family. What's coming through is alive What's holding up is a mirror But what's singing songs is a snake Looking to turn this piss to wine They're both totally void of hate But killing me just the same The snake behind me hisses What my damage could have been My blood before me begs me Open up my heart again And I feel this coming over like a storm again Considerately
For pushit..do a double play! First the studio version then the salival..it will be a long video..but worth it..and we will be here for it. Only time I would recommend jumping albums.
I agree, the studio version of Pushit first. You will appreciate to live version so much more, the transformation of the song is part of the live versions beauty.
This song is about how Maynard having a son, first initial H, changed and transformed him. Also a song that really shows how tight the band plays together. Excited for your front to back listens! Aenema is somewhat ordered as a whole album, but where it really shines is Lateralus and 10k Days. Those albums were really purposefully sequenced for full listens.
From Dusk til Dawn is amazing. Also, I know what you mean by that "southwestern/tex-mex" sound Haha. Another satisfying example of that is The Mars Volta. Check 'em out if you haven't already. Great channel and commentary bro 👍
If I were to put H. In that movie that would be the scene. "The snake behind me hisses". Rodriguez directed, Tarantino wrote screenplay, and you forgot Danny Trejo. "Considerately killing me"
My man at it again. Nice. After having a decent barbecue with my better half, what else to to than burning some plants while listening to SC listening to Tool? 🙏
Save the live version of pushit for later do the studio version first. Fits the theme for album better. Please react to imagine by APC (John Lennon Cover) Official video as well…. Pretty dark version of a happy go lucky toon
My buddy is a Frankenstein shroom genetics dude he made these boomers so hard. Like dmt for 4 hours. I listened to Fear Innoculm album with my navajo bud. I saw my own death. I was in the realms. No elves joe rogan. But beings that wanna connect to the right beings. They told me this world is gonna end. Buckle up. Im out.
That’s too bad, I’m sorry for you , you know not what you did. Just say your sorry now and all will be forgiven. Remember, there not after me there after you, I’m just in the way.😃
@@jackbitzel3903 If you take the full meaning of my comment, below average comes with negative connotations that I'm not applying. I'm basically saying that if I ranked all of Tool's songs, "H" would be in the bottom half, but that's not saying it's a bad song. It's a good song! Some in this comment section are even saying it's one of their best. Either way, music is subjective. Don't get hung up on musical opinions.
Word2Wise: When time comes for Pushit it's a must to do album version and then Pushit "Salival" version.

Listening to the entire album is a wise idea. Can’t wait. H.W.A.P is hard. Not what you would expect from the title

You just gave me my next pick up line “Stoned Chakra told me that you need more Tool in your life. Let’s Spiral Out”
I endorse this!!!!
nice one, this has always been a personal "top: song from them, it doesn't get reacted to often.
Good thing I'm deep diving lol
Was not only my first Tool album, but my first ever CD.

I'd agree with this except it's about his son Devo H. Keenan.
@@Andrew46_2 Ah right, middle initial.
Are you seriously giving T.A.T.U. a shoutout...dude that song "All the Things She Said" is still one of my go-to bangers. I fuckin' love you bro!

BTW, it's Juliet Lewis. And she is fucking great in any shit she's in. California. Strange Days.
Thank you! what did I say?? Jeniffer? lol 😭
From dusk till dawn was a Rodriguez / Tarantio collaboration and it does have a similar vibes of tito and the tarantulas song in that scene
The episode of The Mandolorian that Rodriguez directed was soooo 🔥🔥🔥

Been on them since 2005! People are just now starting to request them!
Word of the day..fuzzy🤣🤣🤣

Great sound in my beats headphones!!!
All the tracks you mentioned that you haven't heard yet off this album are incredible. Can't wait. Cheers bud ✌🏼
I'd expect nothing less from them at this point lol
@@StonedChakra Lol, right?! They seriously don't have a bad track. I don't think I've ever skipped a Tool track. One of a kind band. Cheers ✌🏼
top 3 favorite songs by them! yezzzzir!
From Dusk till Dawn is a 1996 American action horror film directed by Robert Rodriguez and written by Quentin Tarantino.
Classic 👍👍👍

Machete Forever!!!!!
Hell yeah
Eulogy and Pushit. The best.
An aenima album live stream? So down for that.
The snake behind me hisses!! !
So much of Puscifer gives me the Tex-Mex feel.
My man at it again. Nice.
After having a decent barbecue with my better half, what else to to than burning some plants while listening to SC listening to Tool? 🙏
Making me jelly with that bbq!!
one of my faves from my fave. Excellence. Also, don't forget about Opeth - Ghosts of Perdition!! :0D

@@StonedChakra sweeeeet

haha, TOOL definitely best done in order but YOLO!
A lot of people compare this song to snakes

👀🤯
The antithesis if this song is APC - Gravity.
Song by Song Imo.. more content
"MORE!!!" - Kylo Ren
What up Stoney??
Life, liberty, and the pursuit of highness 😂
If you're gonna react to Pushit, you *NEED* to do the live version first.
so many conflicting opinions 😭
All good songs on aenima . Not a bad song on the entire album
This is one of the below average Tool songs, and it's still a very cool song, which says a lot.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Below average. You must be freebasing some hardcore black tar whiskey heroin angel dust weed.
wow - this is literally one of their best.
Maybe less mainstream, but definitely not below average
