In addition he almost got the T.P.P through which could have been an alternative to NAFTA. TPP was essentially NAFTA except four separate countries with separate agendas would have had to coordinate with each other in order to screw the U.S like China is doing now( and we control Japan's military, so getting them to screw with us was a near impossibility.) The four countries in question also don't have the manpower to take advantage of the system like China is. If President Trump didn't knock the TPP down, then we could have forced a negotiation with China to give us a better deal, or transfer our business to the other partners of the TPP. But nope, the TPP was called the "rape of our country" and denied in exchange for placing tariffs on a country that we need to buy products from.
All this president Obama did while the Democrats were a minority in the house and senate. He worked through the Republicans who controlled the Senate and House. Republicans still have the numbers on their side in the house and Senate, and President Trump cannot convince his own party to build the wall or follow through with most of his plans.
