Great bit of fishing Nick ,love watching you videos, keep um coming. Nice to meet you too ,on the river Lee ,nice chatting with you . Hope too see you again Trevor 😄👍 . Keep catching the barbel & chub .
Love the video nick, barbell truly are my favourite freshwater fish, nothing like it. Like having a pallet of bricks on the end of the line. Tight lines. 👍
Wow !!! What a great start for you buddy and chuffed to bits for ya … proper jungle warfare and some cracking fish for all your efforts. Them barbel Fight so hard. Proper river Demons !!! Top man 👍🏽😀🎣
It’s crazy fishing on these confined little rivers! Especially nuts when you’re targeting fish as powerful as the Barbel! Thanks for watching the video and for your support 👍👍👍
Great stuff, a bit like fishing my local River Wensum 25 years ago. Now for me its Bivvies and 4oz feeders on the tidal Trent. Good sport and big fish, but those Wensum trips were far more enjoyable.
Great vid as usual, really enjoyed that one. Brilliant start to the river season for you too. Had a few nice Barbel from my local Sussex river too, no vid though as the members get upset if I publish them. Look forward to your next vid👍
Hi Lee. Hope you're well mate. Yes, this video lark can be a bit of a minefield! I know exactly where you're coming from. Thanks for the comment. Hope to see you on the bank soon. Keep up the vids 🎥🎣!!!
Great video as per usual...really enjoy them...yes a big rudd video will be a good watch nick....(as long as you share the venue with us lol.only joking..
It’s possible to land big barbel in tight snaggy swims on 12lb line. I think you may have just got cut off... swan muscle or stone. I’ve had coated braid cut off as well as nylon.
Well done Nick that's some awesome fishing. Very jealous of the river carp, still not had one myself but I'm sure there's one out there with my name on it
@@Lifeonthebank yeah it'll have to be on one of my trent trips because around me they're basically non-existent. And well the honeymoon period has definitely passed now and the reality of parenting is setting in hard! 😂 Still all good especially when we have moments like that day with the big old stripey
Hi great vid as Allways 👌. Can I ask are your Polaroid glasses prescription?. Only ask because I where glasses and iv Never been able to find prescription polaroids. Keep up the good work. Cheers Daz.
These Korum ones fit over the top of my specs. You could try those. Would depend on the size and shape of your day to day specs I guess. Thanks for the kind feedback 👍👍🙏
Used this in my rolling meat video and the fights were brutal! The latest version of this hooklength material is called Smokeshield. An upgrade for sure but understand if you’ve moved onto something else.

Awesome! I can't wait to get out n try bag me my 1st barbel, they seem to go like steam trains when hooked!

Yeah, it’s got caught on something for sure. Wasn’t quite enough abrasion resistance and I just didn’t turn it quick enough ☹️
Superb video yet again Nick, you can't beat going on the rivers in those wild not heavily fished swims, jungle warfare brings rewards!!
Cheers Richard. Great to be back on the rivers. Fights with big Barbel are insane in these environments 😉🙌👍
