That’s true bro, but u don’t want to under estimate a big rig no matter what year because one day at night, we saw a truck driver going around 55 on the freeway so we passed him, then all of a sudden he was going 75 Mph then 80. The funny part was that all the cars on the left lane where fast traffic and the truck was in the mid lane. So we couldn’t catch him Up because that was the speed limit. Also he was loaded and made tight turns. So you never know because trucks have more torque than cars because then how r they suppose to haul heavy loads. And he I believe you about the weight on just the cab but they are still stronger than cars. Plus some truck models are capable of beating corvettes and mustangs no matter what engine or torque they have on cars.

You can get rid of some weigh by not having cargo and cutting out some dead weight, you can install a racing gearbox, but unless the truck was built for racing, it will probably never perform as well as a good race car.
