Guys, I know Denver has some issues too, Los Angeles has some pros too… I just know Denver will bring me more pros at that point. You may have an opinion about what I said and that’s great, but keep it nice and respectful. Cheers!

I've lived in the Los Angeles area since 1972. My small quaint rural town to the east has been engulfed by massive amounts of new homes, warehouses, traffic, 18-wheelers, homeless, crime, high prices, high taxes, you name it. I'm tired of it. Every reason you said in your video for leaving is completely valid. I long to leave this place for the wilderness someday. Good luck with your next chapter!

Denver traffic is as bad as LA. The weather is always changing, winters are brutal cold. Good luck.

Thank you! But will have to disagree about the traffic haha Los Angeles is the worst I've ever seen in years! Sometimes takes me 1.5 hours for 20 miles... so yeah Denver will have some traffic I am sure but nothing as bad as LA (for now at least), and distances are much smaller in Denver, LA area is really spread out!

Moving to Evergreen (which you posted drone footage of) or Denver proper? I found the people to be as cold as the weather; similar to Cali. I lived in Evergreen in 08-09, but traveled weekly for work so it was more tolerable. But, at that time people were friendlier in Texas, which has since gone downhill. As a whole, the US has gone downhill. As we get older, it's harder to make new friends when you are self-employed and/or no longer in school/college. I joined a ski club and met some nice people, whom I am still friends with to this day. Bonus; you may be up there for peak season of the leaves turning. The aspen leaves looked like gold fluttering in the wind. Enjoy! Looking forward to you posting new footage and have awesome adventures.

I know if I had to live in the US I'd prefer Colorado over California (other than the winter, I'm not a huge fan of cold and snow). Good luck with the move!

Wish you the best of luck with the change man. I think after all the lockdowns and years of people being afraid to go outside, we've all realised how much we missed real connections and experiences.
I'm sure it will be a great move man, and I bet the tax benefits won't hurt either.

Not just covid, but LA too. Yes, we have some nature around, but it's either desert or completely crowded. I think I miss the mountain with lakes and pine trees! There is Big Bear Lake, but like I said, always crowded.

As a person that moved from Denver to So Cal I wish you all the luck. I moved in 1988 and really went back for the first time last year. Lots of changes, some things didn't change. I kind of left on bad terms and SoCal(San Diego) was good for me. Long story. Now in LA area for the past 8 years and yes Cali is a tough love now. We all hope it gets better. LA will miss you and your art and sorry we never got a chance to meet. Correct, it is difficult to meet people here. City Park was my old stomping area. I lived blocks away from it, walked through it every day to high school, and it looks like you found the best place to shoot Downtown Denver and the Boat House. Enjoy Denver!!

I understand you perfectly. I think your decision is very good, and you can carry out your decision. That is to say, it seems that there is nothing and no one that ties you to LA or California in general.
You could also do something similar to America in Motion for Europe. What I mean is that you could consider a trip to Europe and make Timelapses of the places you visit in Europe for several months, including in-person courses. There is nothing and no one that ties you.
For example, I am planning (pending planning it well on the calendar) to take a trip to the US for at least 3 months in a row to do Timelapses and Photography.
I hope I can meet you and you can give me some classes searching, following and making Timelapses of tornadoes and storms in the US.
Very good luck in this new stage! The best is yet to come!👍👍

Thank you, appreciate the message. Indeed, I am free to go wherever my heart tells me to go. I definitely want to create a timelapse master class focusing around Europe, that would be exciting!

Train your cats to wear a harness, great for travel so you can stop and let then walk a little. Denver or Bolder always sounded like nice places to live. Good luck.

Thanks for the tips! They are extremely shy and scared of people so not sure I can let them out of the car... but I'll let them walk in the car anyways!

Best of luck Emeric. I visited Boulder a long time ago, and really enjoyed it. You'll enjoy the change of scenery and weather, but the social ills, while less pressing, are there as well. Society is in decay, almost everywhere. We all look forward to viewing your new timelapses.

Denver is a great location for storm chasing. Centrally located for storms to the south and north.

Good for you. Colorado is great. Don't forget to go east to the plains for lots of abandoned buildings if that is an interest. I'm in Tulsa.

Colorado is a great place as I grew up there and hope to move back there from the Heat Dome capital PHX. Denver today is just another BIG city. Look at some of the surrounding areas. As far as Boulder goes, think Berkley IMHO.😎😎

Yes unfortunately it seems everyone is leaving California. Many are moving into my state, Tx. $6.00 gas, ouch! I have been a long time visitor of Colorado and Denver. I quit traveling to Colorado years back when the Cali people started flooding into the state. It has become over crowded, over regulated and I have been referring to it as New California for years now. Homelessness is a very real problem there and the new mayor is trying to find a solution. So far just by relocating the problem to someone else's back yard. I guess what I'm saying is that Denver is well on it's way to being a new Los Angeles. The whole front range Interstate 25 corridor is building out. You didn't mention politics as a factor specifically, so you will feel right at home in Colorado in that respect.
I like your idea of being closer to tornado alley. It's a great place to base for storm chasing.
For me there is another mountain state that I much prefer spending my time and money in but I'm going to keep this one to myself.
    Good luck Emeric

Most big cities will start to be overcrowded anyways, not just Denver. More and more people just want to live in cities, but I agree about what you are saying. A lot of Californians do leave California, but the number of out of state license plates I see around LA is huge really, so the migration is both ways.
I am not a citizen so I can't vote and will have to just follow with whatever the laws are where I want to settle and I am fine with that really. I don't think Denver is as bad as LA right now, but maybe I've not spent enough time in Denver to have a judgement. I'll see when I get there! Thanks for the comment!
