During the old days when he's playing in the TESL, Has was even more crazier. One time, in a final showdown, he used sentry's hallucination to send out 7 fake void rays at the precise timing that would scare his opponent & spooked his opponent to GG immediately. Has is creativity & crazy combined. Edit note: people keep bringing up Huk vs Idra. No, that was before them & it was a PvP game. I forgot who the opponent was but I explicitly remember both player were reduced to one building each. It was VERY INTENSE. Back then I watched it on TV & I sat through the entire match.
Win or Lose, Has always without fail make every match interesting and fun. Using cheese strats to reach a high level is indeed very impressive. Always love to watch his matches.
Has is basically why I was attracted to SC2 RUclips videos in the first place. While multiplayer may not be for me, watching him cheese brought me down the rabbit hole of watching other SC2 stuff.
This vid was awesome. You have a nice balance of setting up just the right amount of context with your narration, then providing the clips of what happened and letting them play for themselves. It really helps highlight those big moments.
Has was just brilliant in his creativity. He would pull shit that you would never see anyone do in a pro game. Cheesiest or most dynamic player in my book.
Yeah life could give serral a run for his money. Im not saying dark or rogue cant do it vs serral but i think life is more aggressive than them both... that was even hots life, how about lotv life? Yum yum.
Just a quick mention, in the Has VS Showtime final game, actually it wasn't Showtime's plan to rush. As the casters mentioned, in this game, Has opened with 2 Adepts (which he rarely did in the entire tournament), so it caught Showtime off guard, and he let the 2 Adepts in and lost 10 probes. Showtime was significantly behind, and his 'all in' was his best chance (and he almost made it work). In the end, much credits to Has for advancing to the Final. Anyway, really enjoy your videos, Thanks!
He didn't invent it, but he sure as hell mastered it. He got me back into watching StarCraft again after so long because of how entertaining he was to watch. Haven't been entertained like that since HuK pulled off a mothership rush back in WoL.
For bonus points, I believe this was when Serral was a rising star himself. I still have to commend Has for taking a map off of Serral, even if he ultimately lost the finals.
06:27 - lmfao, the casters / commentators actually sound ANNOYED that Has won because they wanted JaeDong to advance, probably because he was a fan-favorite and old-time dearie of the SC community! :D
I've never played this game and just enjoy watching the chess match between players. Has, serral, dark are the only pros that I remember and am interested in watching.
NesTea had the same reputation back then during WoL. I remember so much awesome games he played. The most memorable game for me was against anypro where he rushed to get his lair early and for the drop upgrade of Overlords and invaded anypro early expansion with Queens and Spine Crawlers. During that series of matches, anypro never attempted early expansions after losing to that in their first game.
10:40 Player A: I have to scout everywhere, there is no telling what this insane player will do. Player B: I need a break. I feel like playing normal this time. Player A: I can't make workers and expand, I have to prepare for everything. Player B: Wow, he wasn't prepared for this.
2018, back when the 4 Horsemen were still a thing, when we got this amazing backstory of sOs (More than a game - Kim "sOs" Yoo Jin | StarCraft II), back when we actually got Tastosis casting grand finals for tournaments outside GSL, SC2 scene nowadays really just pales in comparison. Other than herO and GuMiho everyone else just does the same standard play.
@Axel Ave Yep, TLO video can be more than 30 minutes long - there's so much interesting about his career. As for Dark, he's just like Rogue - great at everything StarCraft 2 has, from cheeses to lategame macro, it's incredible
To me, Has's play exemplifies the strategy genre. I disagree with the purists who insist there is a "right" way to play the game. I prefer games where there isn't a "one size fits all" strategy. Each decision should come with trade offs, and for me personally, long macro games were becoming boring and formulaic. Players like Has showed that there is a risk/reward to every decision you make when it comes to how you decide to play out the match.
same here, but instead of shooters, I play open-world RPG's only lol. After watching the vid, still looking for the "cheese". NGL, I'm expecting a food or buff LMFAO
Sc2 is beautiful to watch but watching HAS.. is at another level! Like a much better version of SC2! Even when he loses the games are so fun to watch!!!
Me, looking back on the highlights from Has's WCS Valencia 2018 run: "Oh man, beating Special, Elazer, and Showtime all in one tournament, Has was really playing out of his mind, who did he face in the fina-" *Serral* "...Well, 2nd place is a hell of a good run, anyway!"
it's even crazier to see herO lately even deployed mass Oracle as well as tried some economy & Zealot rush iconic to Has. Well of course any Protoss pro gamers nowadays also deploy herO's iconic Prism & Immortal micro as well.

that clip where the audience guy is completely agape.... that match was LEGENDARY, i watched it live at home and even i was open mouthed and amazed.
i remember watching that live too. such awesome memories of sc2 throughout the years!
How can I see the game? How can I find the game in youtube?
I was in person in IEM Shanghai. Nostalgia…

I have done this with Archons :P Casting 4 halucinations of Archos in the mix of your army - many times leads to GG and quit :P
Wasn't that HuK vs Idra?
@@goshu7009 Never trust a toss. XD

In the contrary, watching him gives me PTSD
Always been an interesting dynamic in games when there's cheese strats, and how devastating it can be when executed at the highest level.

HAS is a LEGEND! Like many others, when I see the name HAS, me clicks.
Has was just brilliant in his creativity. He would pull shit that you would never see anyone do in a pro game. Cheesiest or most dynamic player in my book.
Always a pleasure to watch him because you never know what he has in his pockets
0:40 man, this guy is really shocked, flabbergasted, bloody out-of-body experience.
This dude cheesed his way to the final round. Massive respects
No respect from me. The way Toss played in SC2 was why I abandoned the race with disgust despite playing it in BW.
Massive respects from me. No explanation necessary.
For Has, playing normal SC is cheesing
there's nothing i admire more than players who are insane at the game but also just regular insane
True
If you aren’t planning to already, can you make a video about Life and the match fixing scandal
It's a really big topic, I'll try to do it during August

Thanks for giving SC some love. Great memories and content.
Thanks!
The Creator of this channel HaS done a Nice mini-documentary right here. Glad that I'm on my vacations so I had the TIME to watch it all.
Nice :D
Have a good vacation then!)
Love these vids as someone who was late to the scene, I almost cry when I think about what I missed during the glory days
Well each period had its highest and lowest moments. The new era had Serral winning Blizzcon, non-korean Global Finals and many other great moments :)
Loving your channel my guy, thanks for the nostalgia
Thanks!
I remember being so excited watching HAS win against top players during WCS Valencia. Watching that live was intensely fun.
Florencia is another person who I think has changed cheese play forever
He didn't invent it, but he sure as hell mastered it. He got me back into watching StarCraft again after so long because of how entertaining he was to watch.

I really like watching Has. His games are a lot of fun to watch as they're so crazy.
Thank you for these! I've been watching the pro sc2 scene since it started and I appreciate that you're spreading the word on it's rich history.
Thanks!
Being a Taiwanese, it makes sense to be a Has fan. I was watching Serral videos and came across him vs Has, what a pleasant surprise.
I love Has, hope he come back high again
It was really fun to watch has back then
Agree
15:14 "His last opponent was Serral"
Well it was fun while it lasted I guess lol
For bonus points, I believe this was when Serral was a rising star himself. I still have to commend Has for taking a map off of Serral, even if he ultimately lost the finals.
Love these, please keep making them!
Thanks!
oh, I still remember watching that mass oracle game, that was epic
Really amazing video about a really amazing player! keep up the good work!
Thanks!
i randomly found a valencia compilation of HAS back in early 2019. now i'm an sc2 addict.
Love love love Has. Protoss cheese was one of the reasons I loved watching SC2 since I no longer play.
If herO is the Shield of Aiur, then Has is the CHEESE of Aiur.
En taro Adun! (With lactose!)
You mean to say; if Stats is the Shield of Aiur...
06:27 - lmfao, the casters / commentators actually sound ANNOYED that Has won because they wanted JaeDong to advance, probably because he was a fan-favorite and old-time dearie of the SC community! :D
His mind simply works different, he proved the fact there is never just a thousand ways to play race... there's ten thousand at the least.
Has' run at WCS Valencia was his peak. That tournament was completely insane.
most fun player to watch, along with the sewer mermaid florencio
Has is truly a maverick.
i´ll never forget that channon rush
I was actually rooting for Jaedong and it was painful to watch
Has provides only the finest cheese
Has is one of my favourite to watch

Watching how the caster does know better and as confused as we are is the cream on top of all the cheese that keeps us hocks to HAS games
and what about florencio? would he be a disciple of HAS?
Yes
How do I not remember Has? He seems like he'd be my favorite player
Has is pretty My Auir for my life sending building instead of units
great story at his peak has was the most unpredictable player in the whole world absolutely genius tactics
Has was my favorite underdog cheese player! If i had a full collection of his success in that tournament id buy it.
Every video that has HAS in it is an instant must wach for me
0:40 the most famous image to ever be associated with Has, and it's not even a picture of his own face lol
Has made Starcraft fun to watch
I see Has, I click. That’s the circle of life.
Can you do one on s0s? He’s my favorite and I think one of the crazier stories to tell, at least when it comes to his play style
Sure, I'll do one on him too!
l heard a rumor which is he force to rush and end game as quickly as possible due to bad internet quantity.
It could be the case, but I guess later he just got used to his cheeses :)
