Hey Gleb, I won this course in the WeeklyCgChallenge, and I'm so happy that I chose it, and sad that I didn't bought it before! I'd recommend this course to EVERYONE!
Gleb your tutorials are amazing. surprised by the contents and the price, I bought the course today and I am so excited to start. Thank you! By the way, what's the name of the piano music? Its so relaxing
You're so adorable! Especially your voice. :'D I'll try not to be weird about it, but I just had to say it this one last time. I've never encountered such a cute kawaii guy before. The moe levels are over 9k..... I'll stop now.
Well then, here goes again. Insta bought! Haha. I have watched 1 trough 7 now. Realy nice! Love it. Like the humor too. I have a question, if i could ask you that would be great. Im a fulltime professional retoucher/image manipulator for a international fashion company, now i'm learning blender now to use what i render for in my images. My question: Do you have any terms of the trade that could help me find ways or tutorials of how to render something so that it fits almost perfectly in a photo. Like, compositing only aimed for photo's than for video's. Thanks again for the great and cheap tutorials mate! Keep em commin!
+Atarix Insta bunch of thanks! Regarding the resources and terms of the trade, let me just write down my random thoughts: 1. Video compositing. These principles apply to photography as well. Matching the lighting of the CG elements and the plate, getting the edges right, applying camera effects on top of everything else to glue the elements together... I think, give it a shot. I'd recommend watching Andrew Kramer tutorials: www.videocopilot.net/ Also check out Sean Kennedy's website: openvisualfx.com/ 2. Matte painting. If anything, matte painting is the art of combining photos and painted (rendered) elements to create a cohesive whole. So dig matte painting videos. :) 3. Theory. How film reacts to light and how mimic the look of the analog photo; physics of light and other theory is very useful to know in any case. Hope it helps!
+Gleb Alexandrov Nice, Thanks man! I've done a ton of research, love video copilot. I have a lot of knowledge about recreating film and light, but only in photoshop. But your video's showed me that you can mimic them in you preview and final render! Im pretty noob at blender, and try to apply my photo(shop) knowledge to blender, but its hard if you don't know how to get the effect even if you know all the theories and how it should look. Your video's help a lot! Thanks for the info and for the tips. Keep up the great work:)
+Lonely Goblin If you want to learn the lighting tips like using the light textures and apply it in your software of choice, then it will be useful. That said, it will require an additional effort from you. :) Hope it helps.
+Lonely Goblin Don't get me wrong, technically it's for Cycles. What I want to say is that the same techniques can be replicated in Yafaray, Vray, Mental Ray or any other render engine :)
Oh I know! If I get the course I'll probably follow along with Cycles and figure it out for Octane later or something. The light texturing looks really useful so I'm tempted to just grab it :P
Searching for a good course focused on the Video Editing capabilities of Blender. Any intention to do it or suggestion? And of course I did follow all the Mikeycall stuff.
Yes well, I'm a purist and preview the original version, the one where Gleb shot first. Not this re-imagined thing with all that CGI, we just want the original effects. They were pure and were made with feeling and passion... ;-)
+David McSween Funny thing, some months ago I wanted to make a tutorial that would include these steps: 1. Create a 3d model of the house 2. Unwrap it 3. Print the uv-unwrap on paper 4. Fold it to create a real paper house 5. Paint the texture using watercolor or whatever else ...And so on. Maybe photoscan it in the end.
hey Gleb I just bought this training and I think is fantastic!!! thank you very much for you effort and passion to share knowledge peace, love and tequila
+Carlos De la Rosa ...lemon and salt (at least, that's how I tried tequila for the first few times). Thanks for sharing your quick review. Good timing!
Hi Gleb, i think u have to relink the new video on ur page. for me i shows a broken privat youtube link. keep up the good work....will buy the course soon
Gleb! I bought this wonderful tutorial, I have only one downside to the whole thing... Dropbox, I use Google Drive for everything and it was kinda lame to download every file on its own
+Shamir Andres I agree, it's kinda lame that Gumroad doesn't allow to download all files as .zip (if some of the files are larger than 1 gb). It would be much much more convenient to download .zip.
+Gleb Alexandrov you are selling a product - promoting your company (do not take me wrong, you are a great artist from what I can see) - but this is still just a commercial. You offer something for money. I do not care if it is Coca Cola, a Toyota, new pants, viagra... You are selling - not providing any public accessible learning without having to pay for it. Again... Do not take me wrong - I do not mind people making money, and not of open source either - I just do not like it when people get people to watch something by making it appear to be something else than it is. You do hint at it by stating it is a "promo" but still say "Get your copy now!" - you just should perhaps add the price for "getting" it - or perhaps even better just state "Buy your copy now at US $35!" so there is no doubt.
+Jesper Pedersen Jesper I see your point and indeed it would be more clear if I stated the price in US. On the other hand, I don't understand how this video appears to be something else than it is. As you've pointed out, there is a *promo somewhere in the middle of the title.. Anyway, I hope you weren't offended by it :) Have a good day!
+Blah-di-blah Technically it's for Blender. But I think that the general principles will still be relevant. For example, the normal-based enhancements for materials. Or using procedural textures to create the traffic trails effect. Though it will require additional effort, for sure.
Very bad advertisement. Instead of seeing your face for 90% of this video, I would have preferred to see some lighting effects that are covered in this course.
Your English is not strong, for an advert for a commercial product it just doesn't cut it, you're better off using images and text and good music to sell your product. Also, I advise you to attempt humour with caution. It can put people off rather quickly.
+Brian Koo I on the other hand am enthralled by the energy of your voice Gleb. While your humour may not always work, it never does any harm in my opinion - keeps things interesting. While images and text may look more professional, it simply wouldn't be as strong a pitch without your personality behind it (in my opinion) - professionalism isn't always better. That said, different people will have different opinions and I may or may not be in the minority. Regardless, keep up the good work!
+Brian Koo Brian, I really appreciate your opinion. And now imagine watching the whole course :) I guess too many people would like to beat the crap out of me by the end of the day. Or not?
+Jason Thayne Jason, I agree with you. I'd like to keep it light and... I dunno, personal. I'm much more interested in the conversation and having fun, rather than making a serious salesman face.
男人,非常好的工作,我绝对会支付你的课程!
Guys, I reuploaded the video so here we go. Sorry for doing it. Feel free to comment once again, haha :D
+Gleb Alexandrov oh why did you do that
+Treo A bunch of fixes that I had to do. Glad to see you again Treo.
Gleb, you are definitely a phenomenon in the blender world of lighting. Love our work!!!
+Don carlos Don, we make it together, literally.
+Don carlos I just purchased this amazing tool. Great work again Gleb!
+Don carlos Woah, much obliged. I hope you'll like it!
if you benefit from it, please support Gleb for his hard work
Amazing just starting the videos it completely changes the way you think about lightning.
Hey Gleb,

Very nice I wish something I can afford buying the course!

Ah okay, thanks. I wasn't sure if these were specifically a cycles system. I'll definitely consider buying this. Thanks again!

+David McSween Matrix has us, definitely. The previous one was pure CGI, and this one is a stop-motion using cardboard puppets. Bingo, David.
When are you releasing your tutorial series on Mastering Cardboard Puppets? Can I pre-order that one?
+David McSween Funny thing, some months ago I wanted to make a tutorial that would include these steps:
1. Create a 3d model of the house

+Tim Giehler Thanks. Tim, can you check it again now and tell me if it's still broken?
Gleb! I bought this wonderful tutorial, I have only one downside to the whole thing... Dropbox, I use Google Drive for everything and it was kinda lame to download every file on its own

+Валерий Семёнов Thank you! :)

This should be a popup advertisement not a video here.
+Jesper Pedersen Jesper what do you mean by saying it?
+Gleb Alexandrov you are selling a product - promoting your company (do not take me wrong, you are a great artist from what I can see) - but this is still just a commercial.
