The MDA Labor Day Telethon was an enchanting yearly variety show that ran for half a century. Hosted for many years by Jerry Lewis, the telethon featured top stars from the world of music, comedy, and Broadway and was like no other show on earth.

This was one of the best live performances of this song. Could you imagine if the internet was around then? This might have millions of views. This was a raw performance with guitars and drums. Nobody can perform like this anymore.

I play guitar and sing in a band, I have in different bands for like 15 years, but I can NEVER figure out how to sing and play this riff at the same time, lol. This dude killed it and then nails the solo. Legend

this seems like it may have been early on before the song became absolutely MEGA. he sort of flubs the solo but not in a bad way. tbh for a punk / rock band this is totally fine, but I guess they decided for the stadium gigs and stuff they needed a real lead guitarist
