Just started at Wards recycliing (Ilkeston, East mids) 7th day today on the RoRo's as a new pass and pretty much picked it up already, cover driver so hopefully learnt he skip lorries next and then the Class 1's.
This is the first video of yours ive watched, and i think im going to enjoy watching more, so ive subscribed and gave it a likes up. Im a fan of big rig trucks ,buses etc, trucks like yours. 8 wheeler skip hook loader. Im currently building a scaled lego model of one.
@@billythebintruckdriver3952 it's a bonus, when you have a job you enjoy. I like buses and driving aswell. Like any job, it has its downs and ups. More than its fair share of its downs unfortunately. But because I have a passion to learn about the technical side of buses, and driving them, (when stress levels are at its lower end, on rare !occasions, ) i like driving. Let's just say stress levels are down ,only on rare occasions, are stress levels on the lower side!. But I've stuck at it for over 15 years, and I have no intentions of leaving., despite the fact that most of the long service drivers have left ,because they've had more than enough!.
Good video, I enjoyed it. I found it interesting. I'm interested in big vehicles etc. I am a bus spotter( I also drive city buses for a living). I like trucks, 8 wheeler tippers, skip tippers like yours. I go to truckfest when I can. I don't drive trucks but I like them. I'm building a scaled lego 8 wheeler skip truck model at moment. My lego models also have a weight scale aswell. (117 grams = 1 metric tonne or 1000kg). ( the dimensions are 1:30)( 1cm = 1 foot) How heavy is your truck empty with an empty skip on it aswell ?. I know the gross is 32 tonnes, but the unladen weight?. I build various trucks, buses ,cars, coaches out of lego, and I synchronise the weights.
Thanks for the comment, I'm ashamed to say it but I'm not actually sure of the trucks unladen weight, I know that's bad lol, I only really look at the gross weights tbh.I would imagine it's similar to an unladen bin lorry (26T) they weigh about 15 Tonne when empty. I will definitely check the plate next time I'm on it or I will ask the driver who is normally on it. Your model sounds cool👍. Good to hear your a bus driver,I almost became one myself a couple of years ago when I was thinking about a change of career.
Another great vid Billy! 👍

Cheers mate,ye it's one of the better jobs I would say ,I'm not usually on it that much tbh,but I've had a good turn on it these last 3 weeks or so

Thanks 👍👍
Nice truck my mate drive's the same with a concrete pump on it how do you go on tight roads with this axle group
@@Noelzsazsa It can be a struggle at times , as you know 8 wheelers are not renowned for their great turning circle lol
Are all those wheelie bins old ones collected from households or there like spare ones
Old ones mainly I think, we have a company that comes in every so often to take them away to be recycled
Couldn’t drive pish into a pale billy
🤣🤣
Why do you not show your face on camera
Doesn't have to if he doesn't want to, a lot of people don't like to be on camera these days 🤷♂
I don't think people would want to see my ugly face 😂
