Thanks for the table Zeus. It's a pity I only use 4 of the heroes listed. I'll therefore be investing in the Armour Pattern first as it'll be a long time before I can make effective use of the AP pattern. In the meantime my hero teams will be squished quicker than ever 🤕
i would say, that the biggest difference will this be for Kayla. you see everybody else in your list (except of odd Iris), can wear an armor penetration pet. So their real armor penetration in the battle is usually higher. And yes, Dante prefers to use Cain, but his other abilities catch up for lack of armor penetration. Yes, Yasmine has way lower armor penetration but her pure damage, that blocks the healing at the same time, makes up for it as well. Kayla has none of those options and you have to close to max her and max warrior tree branch to get her natural armor penetration. Unlike others her attacks are most critical at the start of the battle, where she is tasked to dispatch the back end healer. And all of those back end heroes can wear armor pet. So she can barely outmatch Polaris, but has a hard time with just Thea. And for her, those 3k can make a big difference to the point of having double damage on the back end. This can be a difference between killing off the problematic back end hero in time or not. On the other hand, this will not matter for Yasmine, as she will rely like before on armor penetration support. This may also matter for Iris, as she also heavily relies on armor penetration weapons in the game. But then again you bring Iris way more for her ultimate and usually do not expect her to pull out all the damage by herself.
you missed the effect on heroes with armor penetration boost as their first artifact... this is imho interesting, since the boost from the artifacts are given to all heroes from the team.
If armor peneteration is 1 more than armor than there no defense. Which mean damage is applyed fully. AP artifact heroes has 50k more ap from artifact there no need to comment them. They dont need this pattern
Perhaps @Olympushw can correct me if I am wrong, but it is my understanding that the increase given by flag patterns is calculated based on the hero's base stats listed on the stat page, but does not increase the boosted stat from artifact effects... For example, say a hero has a 30k base AP and an artifact that gives a 40k boost while active. If a 10% AP Pattern is active, that hero would now have 33k AP base, which would increase to 73k while boosted (not 77k). I think formula is [1.1(base) + artifact] not [1.1(base + artifact)].
of all 3 flags I have (4th is empty) I use armor pattern on all of them... so I think many players use armor pattern on their flags also... armor pattern is 18% maxed and AP will be 12/13% tops so armor will always have more stat bonus... not to say that almost every tank and lot of heaers and supports have armor ults so somehow armor is always greater then AP.... but I might change my Dante/Quing Mao flag (PA, Armor, Dodge patterns) and include AP instead or armor.
Because her first artifact gives her enough armor penetration to penetrate anything. Of course will still be helpful when the artifact is not yet in use.
In theory yes, if attacker has armor penetration pattern he will kill team faster than before if defender dont have armor pattern. This specially at heroes with high armor penetration like Ishmael. Ish AP was high but eyt not enough to go easy against Tanks, now it is different with new pattern tanks are like without armor in front of Ish if they dont have Armor pattern. your best bet if you dont use armor pattern would be Aurora or Rufus. but Aurora stand only 20-30 seconds in front of Ishmael

If today have AP, future will have MP, Health, dodge, Crital hit chance, even maybe have Reduce enemy's MA, PA, health, critical...

Max is at 12% according to the training environment. Is it enough to impact the game given the armor pattern maxed at 18%?

@@Olympushw Yeah, my max Aurora and the whole team do not stand against the team with Ishmael, especially when Ishmael has the precise pattern
